About the RetroSound R-483N
The right speakers for your vintage vehicle
The right speakers for your vintage vehicle
RetroSound makes it easy to replace the factory speakers in almost any car — classic, vintage, or even brand new. Their RetroMod Series speakers feature extremely shallow baskets designed to fit into a wide variety of standard speaker locations. They may look old school, but RetroSound builds their speakers from the ground up, using the latest techniques and materials.
Sturdy materials, detailed sound
Each R-483N 4"x8" speaker features a powerful neodymium magnet and a low-carbon steel frame that form a strong foundation. The sturdy pulp composite woofer with its Santoprene surround delivers powerful performance while standing up to heat and humidity. Dual Mylar dome tweeters broadcast detailed highs without sounding shrill, and the speaker's low profile helps increase installation options. These speakers were designed to fit in these vehicles:
- 1967-71 Ford Mustang with stereo factory radio
- 1966 Ford Thunderbird with Quadrophonic 8-track factory radio (requires 2 pairs, one set for each door)
Although efficient enough to play well with any receiver alone, these RetroMod speakers can handle the high power from aftermarket amplifiers to deliver your music with plenty of impact. Replace your wornout old 4"x8"s with these updated RetroSounds, and your tunes will sound new again, just like your classic ride.
Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.
