Axxera's Mini Series car amplifiers pack a lot of sound into a small space. Their AX490D 4-channel amplifier drives each of your front and rear speakers with 97 watts RMS of smile-inducing power, or it'll drive two subwoofers with 275 watts each in two-channel mode. It packs all that Class D power into a package that's only 1-5/8" high and 4-3/4" wide, allowing it to fit under most car seats or just about any tight spot in your vehicle.
Dialing in
The high- and low-pass crossovers allow you to tailor the AX490D's output to your speakers' response. Its variable bass boost lets you add some thump when it's needed. You'll enjoy the additional control and flexibility, and you'll appreciate the price as well.

Features
Channel Configuration: The Axxera AX490D is a 4-channel amp; essentially two full range 2-channel amps built into one chassis. Both sections are bridgeable, so the it can be configured as a 4-channel, 3-channel, or 2-channel amplifier.

- 4Ω: 97 watts RMS x 4-channels
- 2Ω: 132 watts RMS x 4-channels
- Bridged: 275 watts RMS x 2-channels into 4Ω
Signal Inputs: In addition to the two pair of RCA inputs, two speaker level input harnesses are included to plug into the two high level input ports on the amp.
Auto Turn-on: When using a speaker level input, the amp will turn on automatically when it senses the input signal.
Controls
Level Control (Gain): The input levels are independently adjustable for the front and rear channels. The input range is 0.25 Volts to 6.0 Volts.
Crossover: The amp also has independent crossover controls for the front and rear channels. The crossover slopes are 12 dB/octave:
- Crossover Mode: three position switch; choose flat (full range, crossover is bypassed), high pass, or low pass
- Frequency: set the crossover point when in high pass or low pass mode; rotary dial; 35-350 Hz
Connections
Power Input: Two set-screw terminals are provided for connecting the power and ground cables. The terminals accept up to 8-gauge wire. The set screws are tightened/loosened with a Phillips head screw driver (not included).
Speaker Outputs: The four pair of speaker output set-screw terminals will accept up to 8-gauge wire. The set screws are tightened/loosened with a Phillips head screw driver (not included).
Line Input: There are two pair of RCA input jacks.
Speaker Level Input: The amplifier has two high level input jacks, for use with the included speaker level harnesses.
Remote Turn-on: The remote turn-on terminal is a set-screw that will accept up to 8-gauge wire. There is also a remote out terminal, useful for turning on another amplifier. The set screws are tightened/loosened with a Phillips head screw driver (not included).
Fuse: The amp has one 40-amp ATO fuse.
