Good things come in small packages
Axxera's Mini Series car amplifiers pack a lot of sound into a small space. Their AX550D amplifier packs five channels of power into an extremely compact chassis, driving your front and back speakers at 56 watts each while sending up to 400 watts to your subwoofer. This all-in–one powerhouse is only 1-5/8” high and 4-3/4" wide, allowing it to fit under most car seats or in just about any tight spot in your vehicle.
Fine tuning
This Axxera amp also includes multiple controls to tailor the response to your liking. The variable high-pass and low-pass crossovers maximize the performance of your speakers and subs, while you can use the variable bass boost and subsonic filter to tune the subwoofer for just the right quality of boom. Axxera even includes a wired remote control that lets you adjust your subwoofer level from the driver's seat.

Features
Channel Configuration: The Axxera AX550D is a 5-channel amp; essentially two full range 2-channel amps and one mono subwoofer amp built into one chassis. Both full range sections are bridgeable, so the it can be configured as a 5-channel, 4-channel, or 3-channel amplifier.
- Channels 1/2 and 3/4:
- 4Ω: 56 watts RMS x 4-channels
- 2Ω: 79 watts RMS x 4-channels
- Bridged: 154 watts RMS x 2-channels into 4Ω
- Channel 5:
- 2Ω: 400 watts RMS x 1-channel
Signal Inputs: Both RCA harnesses and speaker level harnesses are included to plug into the three input ports on the amp.
Auto Turn-on: When using a speaker level input, the amp will turn on automatically when it senses the input signal.
Controls
Level Control (Gain): The input levels are independently adjustable for channels 1/2, 3/4, and 5. The input range is 0.5 Volts to 12.0 Volts.
Crossover: The amp has independent crossover controls for channels 1/2, 3/4, and 5. The crossover slopes are all 12 dB/octave:
- Channels 1/2:
- Mode: two position switch; choose flat (full range, crossover is bypassed) or high pass
- Frequency: set the crossover point when in high pass mode; rotary dial; 35-250 Hz
- Channels 3/4:
- Mode: two position switch; choose flat (full range, crossover is bypassed) or high pass
- Frequency: set the crossover point when in high pass mode; rotary dial; 35-250 Hz
- Channel 5: because the channel 5 is the
subwoofer section, the low pass crossover is always engaged
- Frequency: set the low pass crossover point; rotary dial; 35-250 Hz
Bass Boost: The bass boost on channel 5, centered at 45 Hz, is continuously variable from 0 dB (flat) to +12 dB.
Wired Remote: A wired subwoofer level control is included (channel 5 only). The remote has integrated flanges and screws are included to mount the unit under the dash. It includes a 15' cable to connect to the amplifier.
Note: The wired remote measures approximately 1-5/8" wide (2-1/4" including the mounting flanges) x 1" tall x 1-5/8" deep (2-1/4" including the knob and cable).
Connections
Power Input: Two set-screw terminals are provided for connecting the power and ground cables. The terminals accept up to 8-gauge wire. The set screws are tightened/loosened with a Phillips head screw driver (not included).
Speaker Outputs: The five pair of speaker output set-screw terminals will accept up to 8-gauge wire. The set screws are tightened/loosened with a Phillips head screw driver (not included).
Signal Input: The amplifier has three proprietary signal input jacks, for use with either the included RCA harnesses or the included speaker level harnesses.
Remote: The wired remote cable plugs into another proprietary jack on the amp. The remote turn-on wire is also found in this harness.
Fuse: The amp has one 40-amp ATO fuse.

Didn't have high expectations since I was ready to to JL Audio but hated spending $600 on an amp and I needed something compact for my 2011 Bimmer. For the price, this is a heck of an amp.
