Dual XHD6430

Overview

Our take on the Dual XHD6430

The Dual XHD6430 CD receiver gives you lots of features that'll rock your road trip or commute without stretching your budget. Whether you're looking for better AM/FM sound quality and increased programming choices offered by free HD Radio® broadcasts, or you just like to listen to tunes from your iPod®, the XHD6430 makes it happen with intuitive control and ease.

Playing your tunes
Plug your iPod into the front-panel USB input, and you can browse your music library with the XHD6430's controls. This lets you stash your iPod in a secure place and keep it charged while you drive. The USB slot is also perfect for connecting thumb drives or other portable music players. The CD drive plays your favorite MP3 or WMA files, so you can load a disc with multiple albums or stacks of files and hit the road. A front-panel auxiliary input makes the XHD6430 even more versatile, providing a convenient place to plug in your portable player or a Dock & Play satellite radio.

iPod note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver or its optional iPod adapter.

iTunes® tagging
Ever hear a tune you like on the radio but couldn't remember it when you got home? With your iPod connected and an HD Radio station tuned in, you can "tag" the songs you like to buy later on iTunes. Once a song is tagged, you'll be reminded to purchase it from the iTunes store the next time you sync your iPod on your home computer.

Power and tone
Dual designed the XHD6430 to play great no matter what the source. The built-in amplifier boasts plenty of power, to improve your music's clarity and impact, and five selectable EQ curves sculpt the tone to match your car's environment. The two sets of preamp outputs allow plenty of options if you're considering adding amps and subs. The rear output can be switched to subwoofer mode, giving you control over your bass level from the driver's seat.

Talk hands-free
Have a Bluetooth phone? Add the optional Bluetooth module and you'll be able to answer and place calls on your compatible cell phone using the receiver's front panel controls.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?
In most vehicles, you can use an adapter to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the receiver, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. Check the "Accessories" tab for compatible adapters.

This was one of the best investments i have done! It is way cool stero and can not beat the price!!

This lasted about 2 years, my review would have been about a 4. But then, for NO reason, it would just stop working. I would have to unplug, power off, take off the battery and it would be good for another day or few days. I look at all the reviews now and realize what a piece of junk this unit is. I should have spent a few bucks more.

    Pros: nothing now

Cons: everything because it doesn't work

Full of features, most of which work poorly, if at all. CD player skips on moderately bumpy roads, HD radio experiences an obnoxious delay when switching between HD and non-HD signals. Audio quality is mediocre at best, and has a pathetic 2-band EQ control. USB port became loose and inoperative in short time. Aux input is noisy and has no pre-amp, so the sound quality is poor and volume is too low. After some months of use, the unit stopped turning on entirely. Frankly, Dual should be embarrassed about this product.

    Pros: Lots of features.

Cons: Most of them are poor quality and not durable.

Easily the worst item I've ever bought from Crutchfield. I had the same "reset" problem that other people have had. I'm a software guy so I understand the need for a hard reset every now and then, but there should be a way to do it without removing power from the unit, which is what I keep having to do. Secondly, after only a year or so, the front panel won't click back in and stay on. I have a paper clip through the small hole in the side, to keep the front panel stuck on so the unit will play. If this brand is still out there, I advise everybody to stay away.

Unit purchased 18 months ago by daughter as replacement for factory radio in Ford Explorer. installation relatively easy. However, CD player now skips and won't play cd's. Still plays through aux input and radio. will be contacting Crutchfield for options. Warranty 1 year but this model is discontinued.

    Pros: inexpensive

Cons: poor quality build, didn't last. works better through aux input than iPod/iPhone usb input

Any tiny bump in the road would cause a CD to skip. Sufficient RAM to bufer an entire song probably costs a dollar these days, so that's inexcusable, even if the internals were mechanically unstable. After a few months, the unit died and would no longer turn on. I realize the unit is discontinued, but I hope this rating reflects poorly on the manufacturer. Worst CD unit I've ever owned.

Pros: USB thumb drive playback was nice

Cons: Skipped on CDs and died in a few months.

Pros: Their are a bunch of pros to this radio. The sound is good, a nice bass. And have no other problems.

Cons: The radio light does not go very low. On the lowest dimming settings it is pretty bright. But live the radio. Wish the radio head that comes with the radio was blue tooth built in and not have to buy a different head.

Surprisingly, it was very easy to install. Took less than 15 minutes, with the supplied harness and frame. The sound quality is great. It puts out the power that its rated at, (50 watts x 4), and the threshold of sound fills my full size van completely. The value was good. But the radio's removable front clip seems a little fragile. Still, it does what it was intended to do. I'm happy with it. I coupled this with 4 6x9 speakers. The original front OEM door speakers, and a pair of Pyle Pro audio tri-axials for the rear deck. Again, the sound quality is fantastic. For what it's worth, it did the trick. I'm happy. Crutchfield knowledge and helpful hints, helped out tremendously. The only one's in the industry that supplies harnesses, and materials specifically to employ an easy worry-free install.

Pros: Fragile front plate. CD skips and jumps until the memory / buffer catches up.

Cons: Does what it's intended to do with all it's features. The Blue Tooth is a nice touch and the mute button is a well needed feature.

I also only get the red circle of death. Purchased in October, I actually had it professionally installed but it has been non-working now for a while. I thought it might have been a fuse. Replaced that. It came back on for half a day and is now back to the red light around the power/volume button. Serves me right trying to save a couple bucks. Will be contacting Dual but not with high hopes from what I am reading here.

Nice stereo, and fit my car perfectly. Great reception, sound quality and features. However, after about 9 months, it has begun to inexplicably "lock up" on me. Like any other stereo, when I park my car and turn off the ignition, I expect to be able to use the stereo again when I get in my car. However, it has now reached the point where it locks up and will not power on about once a week. I must pop off the faceplate and do a reset. I lose all of my settings from my clock to my preset stations. If there is a good side to this it is that I use it primarily with my satellite radio, so when it locks up, I only lose about 4 or 5 local stations and my operating preferences. Now I find myself trying to find the receipt so I can get it in under warranty.

Pros: Price. Good reception, features, easy to install.

Cons: Has begun to lock up about once a week for no reason. Usually after turning off ignition and coming back later and starting car. Other reviews seem to point to this being a common problem.

I installed it after my old stereo got ripped off. I didn't want to spend too much but wanted the USB port. It installed well and worked as designed for a few months until one night it just up and died. It is getting power, the lighted ring around the volume knob is red, but it will not power on no matter what I do. I see now, that it has been discontinued. I think I know why.

    Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Not so cheap when it only gives you a few months of tunes.

I was looking at a similar Kenwood model that was about double the cost with the same features. Some people complain about the ease of use in their reviews. If you read the owners manual, you will have no problem programming and using many of the features. The HD will drop off as you get to the outskirts of major metropolitan areas. If you are within range, there are no issues. The iPod plug works great! The CD player has some issues displaying the track names on home-made CD's but the sound is great. Be sure to get the wire harness for easy installation. I installed this in a 1994 Lincoln Town Car as a replacement for the cassette AM/FM radio and it is HUGE impovement in sound quality and features. I did purchase the Bluetooth adapter. The sound coming into the car is great but the people on the other end say they hear a buzzing sound. Probably due to a gounding issue.

Pros: Great value for the features included HD CD iPod connectivity

Cons: Bluetooth adapter buzz CD home-made track names not displayed on radio screen.

With the new "no cell phone in commercial vehicle" law, only bluetooth handsfree is acceptable. So I looked this up online and my emplyer bought it with the optional matching boothtooth, for my big work truck I use as a heavy equiptment field mechanic.. I am on the road a lot and need to pick up calls a lot and it was really not an option to get an in the ear bluetooth with all my mechanic issues - mainly I'm always oily, dirty, you get the picture! This is a great unit, set up great with my basic cell phone. I get in, turn on my bluetooth on my cell, the stereo knows what to do, I get a call, I push the button, the mic is good, everyone hears me. I am in a VERY NOISY TRUCK! So, I give it a A+. I didn't really review it in the "cool factor" as I guess it is cool, I dont know! So a 4 seemed like a good rating, the options are cool! It sounds good, my speakers are not great and with better speakers the whole thing will be better! I have to have t he treble all the way up for the bluetooth - again, better speakers are needed and I will be getting to those. As a sidenote, liked this unit so much, bought another one for my 2002 Dodge Pick up and will install it soon and add another review if anything else should be noteworthy.

Pros: Whole unit functions great with bluetooth adapter and sound is great, easy, no fail, big truck likes it!

Cons: None really, for the price it would be dumb to complain.

Installed unit in a Honda CRV. Had the same problem as another reviewer: After about a week of use, the radio would not turn on. The on button was lit but the radio itself would not turn on. Trouble shooting guide does not seem to get at the problem. Will have to take unit out presumably to see if it's the fuse. (It's not the under dash radio fuse - that one is fine.) Connected black cable to black cable (ground) with the indicated wire connector pack that I bought with the radio. Perhaps the radio black wire should have gone to chassis instead.

Pros: Really enjoyed it when it was working.

    Cons: Stopped working

I have had this for about 2 months and mostly use it for listening to the radio and playing MP3's from a USB memory stick. For the money, it's a great buy. It has plenty of power for my 2002 Ford Sport Trac with factory speakers and factory subwoofer.

Pros: Has USB input and HD radio. You can take a 2, 8, 10 Gb or larger USB drive, load it with thousands of songs, set it to random and you'll never have to worry about a scratched CD again.

Cons: Radio reception is lacking. My factory radio was much better. When using HD radio, the FM stations often will have moments of signal drop, where the audio will be echoed. When set to HD and listening to AM, it's unlistenable. There are frequent electronic interference sounds that are difficult to describe, but will have you reaching for the power button the moment it happens. Once HD is disabled, the problem goes away. I would actually prefer an SD card input, but the USB suffices.

Bought this for my mother-in-law, she is still getting used to functions, but she's liking it so far, USB input lets her leave her ipod at home, and 3.5mm allows her to use her phone trough the stereo. Loves that part. Sound-wise does sound good even with stock speakers which I'm replacing next. Remote has just enough buttons so you can learn them quickly without having to take yours eyes off the road, or pumping the volume while seating outside of car.

Pros: USB, 3.5mm, ipod connectivity, bright clear display, remote control

Cons: Buttons are a little hard to read at first, but getting used to them should be no problem.

The unit plays well. I'm not sure why, but most of the time when turning on the ignition, the unit powers up but no sound. You have to select a station other than the one it's already on to get it to play. It looks attractive in my Chevy Blazer. A flash drive was readable and worked the best. A CD of mp3s made on my desktop would not play (ERROR 2). A CD burned on a former computer did play successfully, but skipped in places. I have observed no skipping when playing a commercial CD.

Pros: The sound quality is acceptable. The large number of presets (18) makes it nice when going on regular out of town trips. Display options are good. Not a fancy display, but for the price, it's great!

Cons: Some CDs of mp3 files tend to skip, even while the vehicle is not in motion. CDs with mp3s burned on a desktop DVD don't seem to play. Installation was a bit more involved that originally thought.

Was a bit weary of the price being so cheap. Once I got it installed, it made my 88 Jeep YJ speakers actually sound semi decent. I love the USB port, I plug my iPhone in and let it charge while listening to music. Also if I have my GPS going on my phone, it will interrupt the music and give directions through the speakers. The removable face also proves to be useful, it is nice to have the option of making it look like nothing is there, especially when you on a older jeep.

I bought 2 of these radios. One for myself and one for a friend. I only listem to am talk or home made mp3 cd's. After only 2 weeks of use on 8/2/12 the radio would not turn on. The on button was lit but the radio would not turn on. Reading the truble shooting pages no mention was made of the problem. The manual did say that with the ignition off you could push the eject button and the cd would eject. I did that and with the ignition on and the cd removed the radio could be turned on and played cds like nothing ever hapened. On 8/3/12 I told my friend, who only listens to the mp3 how to fix her radio should the same thing happen to her. 8/4/12 my friend tells me her radio did the same thing but her eject button would not go in. She had never ejected her mp3 cd from the first time she put it in {3 weeks} so we do not know if it ever worked or not. She is going to the installer to get it checked in a few days. Hope other piople have better luck..

Pros: The cd player has ok tone Quality.

Cons: cd player quit playing after two weeks. My friends cd player quit playing after 3 weeks. The radio sounds like it is not quit on the station

I purchased this unit to replace the dead radio in my 1972 VW convertible. Hey: new school meets old cool, right? It only took less than 30 minutes of modding to get this unit to fit. The unit works great. Instructions are clear, functionality is top-notch. I was delighted with the price (open box and all). And if anything goes wrong, I know Crutchfield's got my back. All in all, a solid unit.

Pros: Ease of installation, superb documentation, great supporting hardware. USB & audio-in available from front panel. Small size.

Cons: Controls are a bit non-traditional for my taste--the volume, for instance, is in the middle of the unit, rather than towards the left side where most companies put it.

Installed this in my Toyota Tacoma. Mainly picked this because of the USB reader and the ability to play MP3 CDs. After a few days it seemed to be 'dead' except the power button still had a red glow. I removed the radio and checked my connections. It started working. Happened again a few days later. I came back here and read the other reviews saying that this tends to happen and the solution is to press the reset button under the faceplate. I thought about sending the radio back and getting a different unit but after looking at the other radios in my budget, I decided that this is the one I wanted, regardless of the 'glitch.' Problem hasn't reoccurred. I suspect the problem is either caused by heat or something to do with the USB feature. I don't have the bluetooth accessory or an iPod but might get them in the future now that I've decided to keep the radio.

Pros: Sounds good. Ability to play MP3s on disk or USB drive. More features that I may use in the future.

Cons: Had to be reset twice in the first week after I got it.

I have had the two previous generations of Dual Single DIN HD stereos. With each generation the operation got better, but even with the previous one the build quality was lacking and it was a simple mechanical failure of a switch on the faceplate that did it in. On this version the build quality is noticably better, I expect years of good service. The HD performance is MUCH better, and the IPOD and Data Stick file navigation show much improvement. For the money I'd say you likely won't go wrong, and in very many ways it is worlds better than the entry level HD offering from Pioneer - but to be fair that Pioneer deck is a train wreck.

Pros: Better HD performance, data file navigation. Easy to use. Very inexpensive.

Cons: Buid quality not as good as many others.

I was really happy with this purchase, both the radio and the awesome Crutchfield service. Crutchfield's whole system is great - website, ordering, shipping, tech support- the best! The radio worked really well and you cannot get another unit with even close to the features for less. Somehow Crutchfield has much better prices than everyone. All the features worked well. I really liked how the HD radio and iPod support worked. Sound quality was not amazing but still good esp if you consider how this radio has basically every cool feature. Only problem I had was that the CD was skipping (the anti-skip buffer was not working). I called Tech Support and they told me to push the reset button on the radio and the problem was solved. Highly recommend Crutchfield and this radio.

Pros: Lots of features. Crutchfield support. Great price.

Cons: Display a little bright even when turned down to low and a technical glitch with cd skipping which was resolved.

Add car stereos to the list of electronic items that have greatly decreased in price over the years. I was looking for an inexpensive radio to replace the factory cassette player in a 20 year old car that died. This more than fits the bill. Many features, HD radio, fairly easy to use, better quality - more powerful sound. I just put up with the factory radio and bad speakers had no plans to replace them until the radio quit. The only annoyance so far in this unit is that I cannot leave a disc in the CD player and listen to another sound source.

Pros: HD radio, relatively easy to use, inexpensive, not bad looking, powerful sound

Cons: Cannot listen to another sound source while a CD is in the player.

Great deck for the price. Installed in an 88 Jeep Wrangler with ease. The HD stations are great in my area, also nice because my antenna broke off about 3 years ago. I would not recommend the in-dash kit the offer with this unit - 142FJ1550MFord/Mercury/Chrysler 1986-Up Kit E/S. It was inexpensive, but in my opinion a waste of money. Poorly made and does not support the head unit at all. I used a top mount bracket that I had from my previous install, just had to modify slightly to get screws into the new head unit. All and all I am very happy with the sound quality and options. USB for Ipod/Iphone which you can control with the remote and it charges the device. Nice blue illumination display and song info.

Problems with the firmware are an issue. I'm looking for a fix now. Unit started locking up every few days about a week ago. Unit worked OK the first three weeks although it does have an issue with some USB folders/files with music on them. On 2 larger drives that had GB+ of music it just locked up. I placed a smaller amount of music data (maybe 100-200 songs) in the root directory of a clean USB drive and it read the songs OK. Now though it is having issues locking up and you need to pop the cover off and reset the unit which clears all the radio settings. I'm not sure if this started happening because we began to try other "functions" and settings. We are looking for a solution now. I will post an update if these get fixed. Also the HD radio seems to have some trouble locking/staying locked on HD stations. I don't have a reference point on how problematic this is compare to others because this is my first HD radio.

Pros: Cool radio with lots of features for the $.

Cons: Lockups and resets are annoying and erases/clears all your AM/FM station presets.

First of all I have to say, I would NEVER do business with anyone else but Crutchfield for my car audio needs. They have never let me down! I installed this radio along with two 5 1/4 JBL 2 way speakers in my front doors in my 2002 Silverado, all in all, took almost 2 hours. Way easier than I thougt it would be, but having all the materials needed is always a plus. This is my second Dual in-dash receiver and for the price (of both I've owned), I am really impressed with the overall quality of sound. I just put this one in tonight so I need to give it some time, but I am happy already. For less than $150, I got a radio and speakers which woke my truck up! I've already played with it quite a bit and find it very easy to use and navigate through. I bought it because of price and the fact that others with USB ports all seemed to be more expensive and I just needed something cheap to replace my non-working factory unit. For $70, I'm a little skeptical about the build quality, but I will give it time.

Pros: Sounds great, easy to use, looks good installed in the dash... USB port AND Aux port up front.

Needed a replacement for a 14 year old car radio that had iPod/MP3 support. Couldn't spend much but wanted my daughter to feel good about her car. With included wiring harness the installation was easy (not my first Crutchfield car radio purchase). Sound is great after I replaced the front speakers(one had an intermittent open). My daughter is now ready to drive the car until it's more economical to replace than repair and my wife wants to replace the radio in her car too. Crutchfield support was great in recommending speakers when I told them my speaker budget was $50. I was really a bit surprised that I could meet my budget and still be very satisfied with the sound (I should say that pumping the windows in and out was not my objective)

Pros: The product met my price/quality range. iPod charging is a plus. HD radio is a big bonus too.

Cons: Limited character display length of the display doesn't match the iPod so we use the 1/8" MP3 input and the iPod's control. If you don't need to see what's playing the iPod USB input is fine.

This was an amazing deal! The unit itself works so well and really brings out the power in my speakers. I was planning on replacing my entire system in my '98 Buick, but after seeing how well the stock speakers really work, I have decided I just need a couple subs. Thanks to this great unit, I no longer need to replace any of my speakers. Also, Crutchfield is great! Excellent service by Crutchfield; from the advisor to the shipping and handling. I have no complaints at all with Crutchfield's service. They should be a model for other online/catalogue businesses. Now to the stereo! The DUALXHD6430 is remarkable. For the price point, you can't help but smile when you hear it for the first time. I live in an urban area of Pittsburgh and receive fm HD broadcasts. They sound unbelievable. Even the news sounds great in HD. What "tickled" me the most was the abundant array of features for the money. I got this to replace a stock 6 CD changer in my 2003 Mustang which has the Mach stereo system. I did all of the rewiring fine on the new harnesses that Crutchfield included. Crutchfield did a wonderful job... The stereo itself did not however. The Mach system is a 6 speaker rig. This isn't the best fit. I had trouble with not only the CD player but also the USB function with my iPod. It says it supports my iPod, but once I plug it in, nothing happens. Then randomly 5 minutes later, it will do as supposed to and say "READING." Except it said reading for over 10 minutes, and never could play my music. I tried 3 different iPod models and two different cords that work fine otherwise. Nothing. The CD player will randomly say error or eject the CD. I have only had this installed for a week. Not long enough for something to go wrong. Everything is wired and mounted correctly. Also, it may be a problem with my amp setup, but it seemed to refuse to be grounded. I tried different grounding scenarios, and yet at low volumes I can hear a static-like sound. Not happy with this product. Spend more money and get something nicer that will please you.

Pros: Several functions.. however they do not all work as supposed to. Looks pretty good. That's about it.

Cons: Grounding problems - Static "hum" CD errors Will not actually play iPod via USB function Blue lighting is EXTREMELY bright. hurts eyes during night driving, will not dim. Mediocre sound quality

I am so happy that they can make something to fit this in my Ford Taurus! I have been stuck with only radio until I found that they make something to install a stereo like this in any car! It works great! sounds awesome! even without changing the speakers. I can listen to my Ipod, it has a remote, and a detachable face plate which I will be using as I am a college student.

Installed in a 2000 Toyota Sienna minivan. Installed it myself with the help of Crutchfield's mastersheet and the internet! Great price and the ordering system is wonderful, telling you what you will need to install it yourself which saves lots of money.

Pros: My factory CD/Receiver stopped working so I am thrilled to have a working one. Looks and sounds great! It's nice having the extra tray area too!

Incredible bang for the buck. I literally paid $60 for the car I'm driving which is 1997 Geo Prizm so I didn't want to spend much on a car stereo system (I'm Cheap!). I purchased an open box which saved me another $10. The system works great with my ipod. Sounds as good as some more expensive models and installation was easy with the instructions included. I love my new, cheap (Inexpensive) DUAL XHD6430 car stereo.

Pros: Sounds good! Works great with the ipod.

    Cons: None so far.

I'll start off by saying that Crutchfield is awesome and provided a hassle-free return process. This unit worked well for a while and sounded great. I loved having the HD radio and ipod USB port. However once the summer hit, the holes where the hooks hold the faceplate on melted off and broke. Not just once, but twice! There were a few other reviews that mentioned the faceplate falling off. That part of the faceplate is thin, cheap plastic and the spring simply puts too much pressure on the face plate, pushing it away from the head unit with unnecessary force which tears and breaks the plastic once it gets hot and pliable. I chalked it up to a defective unit so Crutchfield quickly sent me a new one. Installed it and a week later the same thing happened. Sent it back for good and ordered a JVC. I'm giving it 2 stars rather than 1 since it should work great in colder climates or in a car that has better ventilation behind where the head unit will be installed. I actually have it installed in my Matrix and it still works fine (probably just jinxed myself...), the Santa Fe is much more cramped behind the dash.

Pros: Lots of features at a low price point

Cons: the faceplate is poorly designed and doesn't withstand fairly normal car temperatures for a southern climate

Love the new radio/CD player. Still do not know where the "off" button is, but I have not read the manual yet. For having it only 2 weeks I have zero complaints! I loved the ordering system. Crutchfield has a nice system that tells you everything you need to remove your old radio and install your new one! It took a lot less time then I thought it would!

Pros: Love the remote and USB port.

Nice little radio. FM reception isn't the greatest but iPod controls are pretty easy. It would be nice if you had the option of controlling from the iPod itself. Not the greatest head unit but worth the price. As always Crutchfield does it right and I wouldnt suggest purchasing your new head unit elsewhere.

Pros: Low price, easy install, HD radio, iPod comtols.

Cons: Less than stellar radio reception. Unit needs to be reset from time to time.

Purchased this unit to upgrade factory radio/cassette in my son's '96 Camry. Unit was pretty easy to install - would say it's mandatory to buy the Crutchfield wiring harness for the specific make/model if it's not provided free at the price point if you want an easy install. Otherwise you'd need the wiring diagram/schematic for your factory unit (who has that?) and they don't seem to be readily available, even on the "Internets". Anyway, upshot is that this is an unbelievable upgrade from the factory unit in both sound and functionality. The controls are pretty simple despite the feature-rich functionality and the remote is nice so you aren't distracted from the road if you're operating the unit at all. I would say that the only negative I've been able to come up with is that if your car has a power antenna, it will be engaged whenever the unit is on - even if you're just using the iPod/USB or Aux inputs. At this price point, they just didn't add a trigger 12v switch for the antenna for only when the radio is on. Other than this relatively minor issue, the XHD6430 is an upgrade that is well worth the money and time.

Pros: Great sound, easy controls, iPod play while charging, aux input, bluetooth, iTunes tagging, etc, etc...

Cons: Power antenna (if you have one) is engaged whenever the unit is on, not just when the radio is on, but I consider this a minor issue at this price point. Positives completely overwhelm minor issues.

Unbelievable price for feature rich head unit.

I have a 2005 Toyota Sienna. Super easy install. HD Tuner, USB port, Aux input, and MP3 CD, front and rear preamp out for $70! Ridiculous! This is my first Dual head unit. The controls are easy and intuitive. It looks sharp in my Sienna dashboard. I installed a Sony in my truck last year for twice thee cost and I like this head unit better.

Pros: Extreme value feature rich. Intuitive controls, pleasing looks, HD radio, USB port to play MP3 files, MP3 CD and AUX port on the front.

    Cons: At this price, none.

First and foremost, KUDOS to Crutchfield's: Cust Service was awesome and very helpful in picking this product, delivery within 2 days, every piece needed for installation was included as per your recommendations, installation (my first) was easy and took much less time than I anticipated. My daughter is using the radio and is very pleased. Still putting it all together with programming and all that the radio has to offer. Off to good start.

Pros: Radio is all that we expected. Cruchfield's is what every company in this company needs to be or become!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still learning about how to use my Dual 6340 but I really appreciate the Bluetooth while I am driving my 5spd because before it was quite an unsafe juggling, driving with the knees experience! The 6340 seems to have more than ample power to drive my Bose indoor/outdoor speakers. I generally listen to audio books while I drive and the signal is exceptionally clear!

Pros: ample power and clear signal

Cons: perhaps Dual, or Crutchfield, could develop a CD that could be listened to regarding the operation of the product.
