Overview: The Dual XIA3145 two-channel amplifier is designed to power
a set of full-range or component speakers. The amplifier can also be bridged to
power a single subwoofer. The amplifier features a Class AB output design,
MOSFET power supply, and Die-cast aluminum heatsink for good sound, efficiency
CEA 2006 Compliant: The Dual XIA3145's
power ratings are measured according to the strict standards dictated by the
Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards allow you to accurately
compare the rated power output of all CEA 2006-compliant amplifiers, even if
they come from different brands. Manufacturers who adhere to the standards can
display the CEA 2006 logo on their products and packaging.

Protection Circuits: The amplifier features three protection circuits
to protect the amplifier.
- Thermal overload protection
- Auto-reset speaker short circuit protection
- Reverse polarity protection
LED Indicator: The LED indicator illuminates green during normal
operation (Power) and red when the amplifier detects a fault (Protect).
IllumiNite: The amplifier features a 4-pin connector for connecting
Dual illumiNite subwoofer enclosures (sold separately). The lightning elements
of Dual illumiNite subwoofer enclosures provide you with a unique custom touch
to your vehicle's car stereo system. Dual's patent pending illumiNite LED system
and control circuitry provides an extraordinary blue-hue illumination which
allows great creative opportunities for the beginner or seasoned customer
Mounting: The amplifier can be mounted horizontally or vertically. For
optimum performance, make sure to provide at least 1" of space around all sides
of the amplifier. The amplifier cannot be mounted upside down.
Cover Plate: The amplifier's recessed side-mounted controls and
connections are hidden under a removable cover-plate. To access the amplifier's
controls and connections, you must review the cover-plate by unscrewing 4
hex-head machine screws using the supplied hex-key.
Input Level Control: The input level control (gain) is used to obtain
the best possible match between your connected headunit's audio output and the
amplifier input. The amplifier's gain control has a low level input range of
200mV-6V and a high level input range of 2V-10V.
Crossovers: The amplifier features a Crossover Switch which
allows you to select Full-Range, High-Pass, or Low-Pass.
- Full-Range: The full-range setting allows all
frequencies (20-20kHz) to pass through the amplifier from your connected
headunit to your connected speakers.
- High-Pass: The high-pass setting is variable and allows
only frequencies above 40-400Hz to pass through the amplifier to your
- Low-Pass: The low-pass setting is variable and allows
only frequencies below 40-400Hz to pass through the amplifier to your
Bass Boost: This control provides additional boost (0-12dB) for your
connected subwoofers at 45Hz.
+12V Power Terminal: The amplifier features a +12V power set-screw
terminal which accepts up to an 8 AWG power wire. The +12V wire must be fused
within 18" of the battery for protection of your vehicle's electrical system.
Ground Terminal: The amplifier features a set-screw ground terminal
which will accept up to an 8 AWG ground wire. The amplifier's ground wire should
be kept as short as possible and connected to a clean unpainted section of metal
or the vehicle chassis.
Remote Turn-On Terminal: The amplifier features a set-screw remote
turn-on lead terminal which will accept up to an 8 AWG wire. The remote turn-on
wire connects to the head unit's amplifier turn-on lead or power antenna output.
Speaker Outputs: The four speaker terminals (left +/- and right +/-)
are set-screw-terminals that will accommodate up to 8 AWG speaker wire.
Speaker Input: The amplifier comes with a two channel speaker level
input harness. Once you splice the speaker wires from the receiver to the
harness, you have plug-in convenience to the amplifier. This feature makes it
easier to add an amplifier to a factory radio or to a receiver with no preamp
RCA Inputs: The industry standard RCA jacks provide an easy connection
for signal level input.
IllumiNite Circuit: 4-pin plug used to connect the supplied 4-pin
Fuse: The amplifier features two 20-amp main ATO fuses and one 2-amp
"illumiNITE" ATO fuse. The amplifier also comes supplied with two spare 20-amp ATO
fuses and one spare 2-amp ATO fuse.
