Dual's XPA Series amplifiers add punch and power to your vehicle's audio system, so you experience all the benefits of an outboard amp without losing a week's salary. You'll enjoy the clean sonic details and pulse-pounding impact that your receiver's built-in amp just can't deliver.

The Dual XPA2500 delivers 50 watts RMS each to a pair of speakers — plenty to get your car crankin'. Or, if you need some bass, you can bridge the XPA2500 to 1-channel mode to run a sub with up to 150 RMS watts of power. Frequency filters and a bass boost allow you to tune your XPA amp to your speakers, so you can achieve sonic superiority in your listening environment.

Product Highlights:

  • 2-channel car amplifier
  • 50 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (75 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms)
  • 150 watts RMS x 1 in bridged mode (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)

  • variable bass boost (0-12 dB at 45 Hz)

My system has plenty of power. Who needs an amp?

You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.

This is definatly a solid little amp. amps that put out similar power from the big name companies cost twice as much and more. but this thing works just as well. I was first skeptical of the DUAL brand. But have found them to be rock solid. have cranked this thing for hours and it never overheats or fails in any way. for this price its a good deal.

great little amp

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For an inexpensive little amp this baby pushes hard. Have it hooked up to two FX90's and the clarity is amazing. Would recommend to anyone.

great little amp (bridged). both power ratings match up perfectly to a kicker comp 10" or 12". Mine is powering a single kicker c124 bridged mounted in a sound ordanance sealed 1.27cu box. Its connected to a pioneer deh4200ub head unit. The head unit has nice sub controls so I cant really say how well it would work a different brand HU, but the gain is turned up 3/4 and bass boost is set at 0db of 12db and the sub is really bumping. If I wanted the roof to bend and parts to shake I could turn gain to max and base boost max and it would still sound good. I ran it for 1hour and it was barely warm on two spots. Its small enough too mount on the side of the base bunker. Even if it only lasts 6-12 months its still a great buy.

This amp is simply crazy! I had it hooked up to 2 6x8 kickers an its clarity is outstanding.
I now have this amp hooked up to an older sony xplode 12" subwoofer and somehow
this little thing pushes that sub harder than a 1000watt sony amp. I do not know how but
it pushes with ease an i know i can blow the subwoofer if i wanted to with this amp.
