Our take on the Fujifilm X-Pro1 M-Mount Adapter by Crutchfield's Woody Sherman
Take a look back in time
If you're lucky enough to own a Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera, you're probably already enamored with its spectacular image quality and ease of use. But did you know that you can turn it into a time machine as well? This low-profile adapter for the X-Pro1 makes it possible for you to use M-Mount lenses (many made by Zeiss® and Leica®), most of which were made for the film-camera era. Their unique optical properties and distinctive features have been admired by professionals for decades, and in combination with the X-Pro1's design tilt towards yesteryear, it seems entirely appropriate to broaden the camera's artistic range in this manner.
Great attention has been paid to the engineering and design of this adapter, and it's probably fair to say the Fujifilm designers consider the effort put in equivalent to that of designing a lens from scratch. One press of the function button on the side of the adapter brings up the Mount Adapter Setting mode on the camera. From there you can specify the parameters of the newly-attached lens. If your desire is to increase your photographic vocabulary, and you are an X-Pro1 owner (or if you want to be), this decision is a no-brainer. Your time machine is here.

Fujifilm X-Pro1 M-Mount Adapter Reviews
Overview: The Fujifilm M Mount adapter converts the X-mount on the X-Pro1 camera body to an M-mount to let you use a wide variety of M-mount compatible lenses from Leica, Voigtlander, Carl Zeiss, and Ricoh. Click here to see a list of compatible lenses.
Construction: The adapter is made from the same high-grade aluminum and stainless steel used in the X-mount cameras, and is engineered to ensure a high precision fit. It also features electronic contacts for communicating with the camera body, and a function button that lets you smoothly choose settings and functions for the mounted lens.
Compatibility: The M Mount adapter comes with a compatibility gauge which measures the lens in two places to ensure it is compatible. One part of the gauge measures the diameter of the rear lens element, while the other part of the gauge measures the protrusion of the rear lens element.
Function Button: The M Mount adapter has a Function button on the side that, when pressed, displays image processing options on the X-Pro1. These options include Shoot Without Lens, focal length settings, and various image corrections, and require Firmware version 1.1. A firmware upgrade must be performed on the camera if it doesn't have version 1.1 or later.
