Overview

Our take on the Accele LCDRV700CCDR2

Maneuvering a large truck or RV can be rough in tight quarters. This rear-view camera, the eyes of your Accele RV700 backup system, will help you back a large vehicle out of almost any parking spot, day and night. The camera features infrared (IR) illumination, which makes objects and people visible on your monitor even when there's no light at all. This camera's built-in microphone allows you to hear instructions from someone behind your vehicle through the speaker in your Accele monitor up front.

Note: A rear-view camera provides an additional view when reversing your vehicle. It is intended to be used in conjuction with your rear- and side-view mirrors to give a fuller picture of what's behind you. It is not intended as a replacement for your mirrors.

The camera was super easy to install - the resolution is pretty good but the night resolution isnt that great. I have it hooked up to a pioneer 4000NEX. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and the quality of the camera - high quality and heavy duty.

Great camera for RVs

Theo from Texas on 2/11/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a great camera for RV use. It connects directly to the cable that comes preinstalled in the 2015 Itasca Spirit 22R. The cable is behind the dash and the other end is in the cabinet above the bedroom on the non slide model that we have so we didn't have to select a length to use. The mic is a handy feature and works well for when someone is back there giving the driver additional guidance. Image quality is good and the brackets are fairly simple.

Pros: Hooks up directly to the factory cable in the 2015 Itasca Spirit 22R.

Cons: Expensive but the price is less than the factory sourced camera that came as an option on our Class C RV.

The camera itself draws almost nothing. Most installers draw power from the reverse lights at the rear of the vehicle, or from the trailer harness, eliminating the need to run a power wire from the radio to the camera. [ Pete838  Dec 29, 2015 ]
The power wire for the antenna is powered by a 8 amp fuse, so you would be fine. [ ROBERT F  Aug 01, 2015 ]
Sorry, can't help you. I don't have the camera option. But being an electronic tech, I'm fairly sure 300ma would be fine. And if it's too much, the fuse will protect the system. But might be worth the try. [ Greg  Jul 31, 2015 ]
