Cobra's iRadar ATOM detector combines sophisticated radar detection with the power of your iPhone® or Android™ phone. Download the free Cobra iRadar app from Google Play or the iTunes® App Store — the detector links to the app using your smartphone's Bluetooth® wireless connectivity. Once connected, the app will let you view all alerts and functions on your smartphone's display, including signal strength, settings adjustment, alert history, and warnings for upcoming verified speed and red-light cameras.
The iRadar ATOM detector measures just under 3-3/8" long and 2-1/4" wide.
The iRadar ATOM gets its name from its tiny size, but Cobra packed a lot of technology into its compact chassis, which measures nearly an inch shorter than their regular iRadar detector. The ATOM boasts long-range detection skills, as well as blazing fast circuitry to get alerts to you as quickly as possible.
The iRadar app gives you the choice of Dashboard or Map view to best suit your driving style. The app also connects you to Cobra's AURA database of thousands of camera locations across the U.S., so you'll get warnings when red-light and speed camera or known enforcement areas approach, even if you don't have the detector turned on. The app also stores a history of spots where you've had alerts, warning you as you approach them in Map View, so you can drive with confidence. The built-in speedometer and compass help you keep track of your velocity and bearings.
Millions of other drivers are using the iRadar app on their smartphone as they travel, so why not use their information to help yourself? iRadar users can tag a detected radar or laser signal or enforcement area on their own phones, and that location is uploaded to Cobra's central server. Your app then can incorporate those locations into its own maps and give you a heads-up when you're approaching them.
Do you also connect your phone to your car stereo to enjoy your music? The iRadar app lets you control your phone's music without ever leaving the app, so you can play, pause, or advance tracks while enjoying uninterrupted protection. You can also have the app remember where you parked your car so your phone can lead you back to it after you've spent time at a big shopping mall, amusement park, or sporting event. And select A/V receivers from JVC will allow you to see the display of the iRadar app on the receiver's screen when the receiver's in "App Link Mode."
The iRadar ATOM also acts as a powerful road companion without the app — it offers 360-degree protection against all radar and laser bands (except Ku-band), providing audio alerts as you drive. The audio signals will come in loud and clear through the ATOM's built-in speaker, and you'll hear escalating alerts as you approach the source of the signal. You can adjust the detector's sensitivity for city or highway travel to reduce false alarms.
Sorry, but we cannot ship radar detectors to Virginia or the District of Columbia.
This product is great! No doubt about that this is a quite user friendly user radar with the smart phone app. It does not detect cameras from traffic lights when app is off.
Pros: Radar works with app off or bluetooth not connected.
Cons: Does not detect camera traffic lights.

Overview: Cobra iRadar provides radar/laser detection technology that you can integrate with your iPhone or Android smartphone. The Cobra iRadar ATOM (iRAD 900) is an ultra compact radar/laser/red-light camera detector which uses Bluetooth wireless technology to connect to your iPhone or Android smartphone to display radar alerts, control settings, log alert history, and be warned of upcoming speed traps and red-light cameras.
Cobra iRadar App: Cobra iRadar is a large community-based radar/laser/camera detection system. When linked to the Cobra iRadar detector, users can share and receive alerts in real time from other iRadar users. Cobra iRadar provides the following features:
Note: The Cobra iRadar app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and requires iOS 5.1 or later (including iPhone 6). It is also compatible with Android smartphones running Android OS 2.2 or higher.
Pairing: Once the Cobra iRadar App is downloaded to your smartphone and the unit powered on, the iRadar unit will appear in your phone's Bluetooth settings menu. The detector's LED will flash blue during pairing and will turn solid blue when pairing is completed.
Radar/Laser Detection The Cobra iRadar ATOM provides detection for all radar and laser guns: X, K, Ka, VG-2, and 360° of Laser detection.
City/Highway Modes: The Cobra iRadar ATOM utilizes the following modes to reduce false alerts: City X, City X+K, City X+K+Ka, City Max, and Highway.
Dashboard: The Dashboard feature displays speedometer (digital and analog), compass, and car battery voltage on your phone's LCD screen. When a radar/laser alert occurs, the unit will sound a tone or voice alert, and the display will indicate the type and strength of the detected signal.
View Map: You are able to view user-marked locations, red-light camera locations, speed trap locations, caution areas, and GPS-based speed and direction of travel on your phone. You can also view traffic patterns along major highways. While traveling with the map view on your display, you can even control the music on your smartphone with on-screen buttons.
Settings: The Settings page lets you configure the iRadar ATOM detector and the iRadar app to your preferences.
Mounting Options: The Cobra iRadar Detector unit comes supplied with a suction-cup mount which allows you to attach the unit to your windshield. The unit also includes a Dual-Lock Mount, a discreet and very solid permanent mount with strong 3M adhesive for your windshield, as well as a Hook and Loop fastener for dashboard mounting.
12-Volt Cigarette Lighter Adapter: The Cobra iRadar Detector unit includes a 12-volt cigarette lighter adapter to supply power to the unit. The cigarette lighter adapter also feature a Type A USB port which allows you to connect your smartphone, or other USB-powered device, to keep it charged.

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: As far as I can tell it does have VG-2 detection. The alert tone I believe is the same regardless of what the detector detects, the display will indicate the type and strength of the detected signal. It's unlikely that we will carry that cable since we no longer carry this product. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.
