Beltronics' Direct Wire SmartPlug lets you wire your compatible Beltronics radar detector directly to your car's dash-based fuse box. Not only will your interior be neater, but the kit also includes Beltronics' SmartPlug module, which features a power-on light, an alert lamp to warn you of laser and radar threats, and a mute button.

You can mount the module anywhere in your interior, so now you won't have to reach all the way to windshield to use the detector's mute button. Or, if you wish, put your detector into dark mode, and use the SmartPlug for visual alerts. That way, other drivers won't even know you've got a radar detector operating.
