Focal Access speakers create a musical soundstage so natural, you'll feel as though you could reach out and touch each instrument. Focal hand-builds, inspects, and tests every Access speaker to ensure that each one lives up to their high quality standards.

The Access 130CA1 5-1/4" speakers feature stiff, woven glass-fiber woofer cones for precise mid-bass sounds. Focal's patented inverted-dome tweeters act like miniature woofer cones, dispersing high frequencies evenly with fine resolution and exciting dynamics. You can pivot the tweeters toward your listening position to optimize stereo imaging.

The strong, lightweight ABS frame offers plenty of open space for unimpeded cone movement, along with plenty of venting to cool the voice coils. High-quality components in the built-in crossover ensure a seamless distribution of frequencies to the woofer and tweeter, for an extremely natural sound.

Why replace your car's original speakers?

The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.

Poor base

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After receiving my new speakers taking apart the door to my truck I find that the bracket sent wound in no way fit. Called the support line, they told me that was the only bracket they had, again did not fit. They told me that I could return the speakers. I kept them and had them installed locally. I was very disappointed in the base from these speakers much less base than the factory speakers that I replaced.

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Lacking in base and do not fit with bracket like is was supposed to.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Best speakers I found for the price. Replaced a old set of Polk's. Much better high's and mid. Polk's had more of a warm, muddy sound. No low end from any 5 1/4" speaker.......sorry. That's what a sub is for people. :-/

Pros: Sound for the price.

Cons: Nothing

Good factory upgrade

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I rate these a 4 because I don't have another good reference point, as I'm sure there are much better speakers out there. I will say, that I have upgraded my entire stock system and these have been a nice addition at a good price. Clean and clear. They aren't meant for bass, that's why you get a sub, people.

Pros: Quality brand, and have given me well-rounded sound as well as nice range

Cons: Not until they crap out, which I expect will be no time soon

Low end Focal is still great

Written by: ibd2328 from Coeburn, VA on February 10, 2012

Low end Focal is at least equivalent or better than most other high end audio products. If you are looking for crisp highs look no further. Obviously if you are looking at these, you aren't going to be expecting crazy bass or frequencies below 100hrz. I added the bass blockers(capacitors which limit frequencies below 600hz) to these speakers and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I have these installed in the front of my BMW running off an 4 channel Rockford power serious with about 1/4 gain and they sound astonishing. The other two channels are going to 6 and 1/4 comps in the rear. You will not beat the highs for the price, and the mid-range is comparable to a type-r 5x7. Amazing sounding speaker with the products mentioned above. Cannot go wrong with Focal! Always amazed and impressed by the products they produce. And these come with the Focal Grills/Cover for protection. Highly recommended!!

Pros: Amazing highs! High quality material! Comes with speaker grills!

Cons: Frequencies below 600-800 hrz can cause distoroition at high volume levels. However with some bass blockers (on Crutchfields site) you can turn these into the best sounding tweeters and mids you will ever hear for the price. Focal says it all!!!

If these arent sounding awesome there is something wrong with your system. These are entry level speakers from a company who absolutly make the best sounding speakers. Im 50 years old and have been building stereos my whole life and I will only use Focal. I still ROCK HARD AND LOUD. Cant be beat for the money

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Just had these installed in my rear doors of my Silverado 1500 with the pbx300.4 fosgate amp and focal 165a1 components up front. Simply put, there's not a lot to these speakers. the range is weak and even with the amp are pretty light.
