Our take on the Focal Integration IS 200

Focal applies the same technology they use in their studio and audiophile-grade home systems to their Integration line of car speakers. This Integration IS 200 component system is designed for the car audio enthusiast who doesn't mind making alterations to the vehicle in order to get first-rate sound quality. The system's oversized 8" woofers feature cones are made of Polyglass, a material that combines the warm sound of cellulose with the strength of glass, for a woofer that plays music accurately with no added resonances.

Adjustable tweeter
The separate Integration processed aluminum inverted dome tweeter features a built-in phase plug and wave guide, which act together to increase the power of high-frequency notes and improve the stereo soundstage. You can also tilt the tweeter for better imaging in many vehicles. The crossover networks are built into the woofers, so you don't have those extra boxes to install. Integration speakers allow you to put Focal sound quality and construction into your vehicle, so you can enjoy a dramatic jump in performance over your old speakers.

Woofer

Polyglass Cone: The woofer cone has a cellulose pulp base and is coated with a uniform deposit of hollow glass microballs. The addition of the Polyglass layer significantly increases the cone's rigidity without adding much weight. This combination takes advantage of the accuracy and neutrality of the hard outer surface, but maintains the superior damping characteristics of the cellulose pulp.

Surround: The butyl rubber surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.

Tweeter

Inverted Dome Tweeter: The tweeter is an inverted aluminum dome, producing a broad sound stage. The tweeter has a Neodymium magnet to provide a powerful magnetic field for the voice coil, while still maintaining the tweeter's compact dimensions.

Mounting Options: The tweeters can be surface mounted and include two types of surface mount housings, one low profile and one angled:

Crossover

Crossovers: Each woofer and each tweeter has an integrated 6 dB/octave crossover. Because the woofer and tweeter crossovers are separate, the system can be bi-amped.
