You've got options

Boss packs some pretty cool features into their 752UAB CD receiver. Not everyone gets their music from CDs, so they've included both front-panel and rear auxiliary inputs and a USB port. You can plug your favorite device into the aux in, or plug a thumb drive loaded with music into the USB port. You can even play music from select Android™ phones through the USB input (USB port not compatible with iPod® or iPhone®).

Fold down the front face and you can slide in your favorite CDs, even discs burned with MP3 files. And you'll also find an SD™ card slot behind the face too, so you can slip in a card loaded with MP3 files and enjoy the music whenever you want. Finding songs on your media is easy, thanks to an alphabetic directory search feature.

And Bluetooth® too

Boss sweetens the deal with built-in Bluetooth. You can answer a phone call with the push of a button, and talk as if your caller is sitting next to you, freeing up your hands and letting you concentrate on the drive. And the 752UAB supports Bluetooth audio streaming, so you can stream music wirelessly from compatible devices to the receiver, with basic control functions like "play" or "pause."

The faceplate only hinges down so you can insert a CD it does not detach completely. Also I would not recommend this unit if you're going to use the radio it does not have a very good capture feature in other words it does not pick up stations very well

I know it says that it won't play iPhones, but if you plug one into the aux will it still work? Im know i won't be able to change songs via headunit but will it play? This is what I'm concerned about...

I play music on mine through my iPhone all the time. I either use the auxiliary or play it through the Bluetooth. Works great.
    stephanie  Dec 06, 2014
    A
Yes, anything via the aux will work fine. Bluetooth connections work well too. The USB and SD card inputs are more tricky and difficult to navigate especially with a lot of folders. The other thing that bugs me is you can't have the clock set to be the default screen. When you're listening to your iPhone, it will just show "aux" if your plugged in or "BT audio" if you're on via Bluetooth. Other than that, its worked well.
    christopher  Dec 05, 2014
    A
It actually will play iphones via bluetooth, and this does allow you to change songs from the stereo.
    kara  Dec 05, 2014
    A
Yes aux cord will work with iphones. Bluetooth also works well and is what I use. Just don't plug in iphone through usb, as that is how mine broke.
    brett  Dec 05, 2014
    A
Yes, it will work if you connect through aux. I was disappointed with the weak reception of the receiver. If you live in an area with weak reception, such as hills, you might consider a radio with a better, more sensitive receiver.
    keith  Dec 05, 2014
    A
Meghan, I don't Have an iPhone, however I play my audio books on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and my Sirius satelite radio through the AUX port. It surely can't hurt to try. You just need the proper cable,to go from your headphone port on your phone to the AUX port on your radio. Good luck.
    b.j.  Dec 05, 2014

Absolutely! I have an iPhone, and it works perfectly with the auxiliary input. However, I usually connect it via Bluetooth to play my music.

YES THE WIRING WAS EASY THE ONLY THING I HAD A HARD TIME WITH IS THE INSTALLATION KIT
    hector  Dec 04, 2013
    A
Wiring was easy physically. Just connect ground to ground and power to power. (Had to call tech support to find out that a yellow wire marked "auto memory" must also be joined with the power connection to make the unit function.) All other connections were explained in easy-to-understand terms.
    richard  Dec 03, 2013

It was quite easy to wire this up to my 2008 Toyota Corolla. There was two sets of connectors with pre-stripped wires on one end. The color code matched up with the two sets of wires and I just connected them with a wirenut (I wrapped electrical tape around them for good measure). Once the sets of wires were connected, it was a simple plug in to the connectors coming out of the car, and a plug in to the radio (the radio connectors appear to be the same type of connector, just make sure the one with more wires goes into the port with more prongs) My answer is more complicated than the actual process was.
    sean  Dec 03, 2013
    A
This was very easy to install. I purchased the stereo with the recommended wiring harness and mounting brackets. The wiring was easy but make sure you have small wire nuts (about 10 connections). I installed the stereo in a Toyota Matrix.
    kyle  Dec 03, 2013
    A
As long as you get the wiring harness specific to your vehicle (Crutchfield does offer them and you MUST have it), it's pretty easy. Instead of taping them all together, go to the hardware store and buy those screw-on wire things. I bought the smallest I could find at 6 cents each (they're gray; Ace Hardware). That makes connection a breeze. Also, the wiring diagram provided by Crutchfield advises you to also check the manual that comes with the stereo you choose. This is not optional. You have to check it to see how the other wires connect. If I could do it, I think anyone can!
    john  Dec 03, 2013
    A
The wiring is easy, all you need is the correct harness and attach it to the one for this stereo. Use butt connections and heat shrink them.
    james  Dec 03, 2013
    A
Yeah, depending upon the vehicle youre installing it in you'll need to get the adapter wiring harness but crutchfield is pretty good at letting you know what youll need to get it up and running. All I did was connect the wires with electrical tape took me a half hour or less so you shouldn't have a problem. Simple stuff- red to red, green to green pretty much fool proof good luck matt

How well does the BT work for making/recieving calls? Is there an external microphone included for BT?
    petey  Nov 24, 2013

    A
The bluetooth connection works very well. The radio switches to phone automatically when you are making or receiving calls. The people I talked to said they hear me well. There is a built in microphone in the front plate of the radio. You can also play musing from your phone in your car stereo bluetooth and it works very well with great sound quality. The only issue with having phone conversations using your car stereo is that you need to keep the volume of the speakers low enough so the person on the phone doesn't hear an echo.
