Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After having them installed for about 2 weeks and being in one sprinkle fest rain show (wasn't even hard) the 2 front speakers got distorted, the next day the Bluetooth stopped working and an hour later no sound coming from the amp at all. Completely disappointed, I do not recommend this product to any1

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I mounted 2 speakers to my handlebars and 2 to the engine guard and so far it seems to have good sound. It's very loud and can even hear it while driving 60 mph which is typically rare with speakers. Bluetooth connectivity is instant. The wires are very short and the clamps needed to be bent to actually fit my handle barsSeems to be worth the money.

Pros: Very loud Fast Bluetooth connectivity

Cons: Not a lot of bass Short wires

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought last summer just installed it as a winter project. Serious issues with having a plug for plugging in all the speakers, really limits how you can wire the speakers. So with that said off comes the plugs and there goes the warranty. Another issue is having the ground and the fuse run through the same fuse housing. They're separated of course but limits how you can run the wire. Off came the fuse and replaced with a separate one there goes the warranty. The wire color code from the amplifier to the speakers the positive side is the same color but the amp negative side is all different colors than the speaker negatives so you have to keep track if you remove the plug. All in all it's decent you won't hear it on the freeway but 50 mph sounds decent, turn the volume up too loud and you get speaker distortion. Oh yeah the volume controller is hard-wired to the amplifier they give you about six foot in my case I couldn't put it exactly where I want it but I found a place. Amp is supposed to be water resistant it is installed in a fairly dry spot, haven't used it long enough or in the rain to be able to comment on that.

Pros: It sounds decent up to about 1/2 to 3/4 volume, supposed to be water-resistant I guess I'll find out

Cons: Plugs for wiring speakers, power and ground joined together in the same housing (but not connected) limits how you can run your ground wire without cutting. Changing the color code on the ground wires for the amplifier speakers is stupid.

Good for the money

Great sound but the speaker mounting brackets could be made better. they don't really fit 1" handlebars that well and the spacers that come with the speakers aren't that easy to work with. I had to actually bend the mounts more than they were to get the speaker studs to go through the holes far enough to tighten them down. Not a big chore but that rally added to the install time. It would also be nice if the amp either had an on/off switch or a remote on wire like car amps. You'll want to install some type of power disconnect in the power wire so you don't drain your battery!! Really not bad sound for a 3" speaker and the volume is good. I have noticed as with most that using the aux. plug does offer higher volume than the Bluetooth but the Bluetooth is very convenient! All and all not bad for the money and I would buy again even though speaker mounting bracket modification will probably be needed.

Pros: Good sound and volume

Cons: Could have better mounting brackets

loud, good built well, bt, nice size amp and speakers, good price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Boss system was purchased for my new 1100cc off road vehicle. It was easy to install, and the sound quality was much better than I expected. The bluetooth function makes it so easy to secure my phone and still play my music. It was a great purchase.

Pros: Price, ease to install, sound quality, bluetooth function, looks

Cons: Would have been nice if the amp came with the mounting plate and clamps.I had to make one.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed this Boss system on my 2006 Yamaha Rhino 660. First thing to go wrong was the mounting bracket hardware this product comes with is super small. It didn't even come close to fitting around the 1.75" roll cage. Second problem was the wiring for this thing gives you about 2 maybe 3 feet from speakers to amp unit... Not nearly long enough. I had to cut the wires and splice them with speaker wire that I purchased separately. After spending hours mounting the thing up with different brackets that I purchased from online I took her out for a test run in the AZ wilderness. The one thing they did right was the volume on this thing. Let me tell you it will bust your eardrums. The problem with it is it is very high pitch. it was very uncomfortable and not enjoyable at all. Sending it back to Crutchfield and will be buying something else.

Pros: Super loud

Cons: Wiring is way too short Mounting brackets are for like 1/2 bars at most! Way too high pitch with audio playing... Sounds like a little girl screaming non stop

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I GIVE THIS A SOLID 4 STARS, IF THEY MADE THE INDIVIDUAL SPEAKER WIRES SEPARATE FROM THE CONNECTOR IT WOULD BE FIVE STARS. SOUND IS GREAT AND INSTALL WAS EASY AFTER I TOOK THE SPEAKER WIRES OUT OF THE CONNECTOR TO ROUTE THEM CORRECTLY.

Pros: GREAT PRODUCT! NICE QUALITY, NICE PRICE, SIMPLE INSTALL.

Cons: ALL SPEAKER WIRES RUN TO ONE CONNECTOR AND TERMINALS MUST BE REMOVED TO ROUTE THEM PROPERLY BUT ITS VERY EASY TO DO.

Features

Amplifier Inputs: The amp has three inputs; RCA, mini-jack, and Bluetooth. All three are inputs are live simultaneously, so if more than one is connected, selection must be made by turning all but one source off.

Note: If more than one source connected to the line inputs (RCA and 3.5mm) is turned on, it's likely you'll hear static through the speakers in addition to music, even if the source is muted or paused.

Speaker Mounting: The speakers are designed to mount to a round tube using the adjustable stainless steel clamps. Six different spacer sizes are included for use with tubes from 0.75" to 1.25" (approximately). Once the speakers are in place, but before the brackets are tightened, you can adjust the mounting angle. After mounting, the speakers can still swivel almost 360°.

Wiring: All the wiring is fixed length and already attached to the speakers and amplifier. Each speaker has a 37" input wire attached and the wires from all four speakers are attached to a single Molex plug. The speaker output wires and the power and ground wires attached to the amplifier are routed together for 18" in a nylon sleeve. Three inches from the sleeve, the speaker wires are attached to a Molex plug (which connects to the plug attached to the speaker wires). The power and ground wires extend 6-1/2' beyond the sleeve with a 10 amp fuse in-line with the power wire.

Volume: The rotary volume control has a 76" cable attached that plugs into the amp and mounts in a round hole in a panel, 0.27" diameter.
