About the JVC KS-AX3202
Bold styling keeps up with performance
Bold styling keeps up with performance
JVC's DRVN Series car amplifiers are all about power… with style. These amps feature aggressive looks, strong value, and plenty of power packed into a compact, low-profile housing. The DRVN KS-AX3202 2-channel amplifier, for example, can power a pair of speakers with 65 watts RMS each, from a chassis that's roughly 8" by 7" — that'll fit in a lot of places in your vehicle. And this JVC doubles as a bass amp — put the KS-AX3204 into 1-channel mode and you can run a subwoofer with 150 watts RMS.
Versatile features
The KS-AX3202 comes with the controls you need to get music sounding right in your vehicle. You can use the built-in low- and high-pass filters to direct the proper frequencies to your speakers or sub. And speaker-level inputs allow you to hook this amp to almost any car stereo, even a factory system.

CEA-2006 Compliant: CEA-2006 is a system of testing and measurement methods for mobile audio amplifiers. This voluntary standard advocates a uniform method for measuring an amplifier's RMS power output and signal-to-noise ratio. The criteria for measuring power uses a DC input voltage of 14.4 volts and the RMS power output is measured with 1% or less Total Harmonic Distortion plus noise (THD+N) over a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (for full range amplifiers). Signal-to-Noise ratio is measured in weighted absolute decibels (dBA) at a reference of 1 watt into 4Ω. CEA-2006 allows consumers to compare car amplifiers and receivers on an equal basis. Using CEA-2006 criteria, the JVC KS-AX3202 is rated as follows:
- Power Output:
- 4Ω: 65 watts x 2-channels
- 2Ω: 90 watts x 2-channels
- Bridged: 150 watts x 1-channel (into 4Ω)
- Signal to Noise Ratio: 76 dBA
Crossover: The amplifier's internal crossover has a 12 dB/octave slope. It can be set to high-pass with a crossover point of 150 Hz, off (full range), or low-pass with a crossover point of 80 Hz.
Power Connections: The power and ground terminals are nickel-plated screw terminals. They will accept spade connectors or ring terminals up to 0.5" wide. The remote turn-on terminal will accept a spade connector or ring terminal up to 0.35" wide.
Speaker Connections: The speaker outputs are also nickel-plated screw terminals and will accept spade connectors or ring terminals up to 0.35" wide.
Speaker Level Input: A speaker level input harness is included, making it easier to add an amplifier to a factory radio or to a receiver with no preamp outputs.
