Our take on the JVC CS-V4627

Upgrade your factory speakers

The CS-V4627 4"x6" speakers feature a durable woofer cone made from a mixture of Aramid, carbon fiber, and mica, along with a 1" balanced dome PEI tweeter that'll increase your music's clarity. Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Can't beat the price, but the sound is pretty much limited to highs. Don't expect a lot of base out of a 4x6, but these sound very "tinny".

Pros: Price

Cons: weak base, mids

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are my rear speakers in a pickup truck, so their sound is overwhelmed by the front 6" speakers. Not much bass sound, but not expecting much from a small speaker.

Pros: Build quality seemed good, easy to install.

Cons: Tinny sound, no better than OEM speakers.

Features

Woofer: Mica is added to an aramid and carbon fiber composite olefin base, resulting in a rigid, light, and durable cone.

Tweeters: Each speaker features a 1" PEI (Poly-Ether-Imide) balanced-dome tweeter; PEI is a polymer film that produces a wide soundstage for superior imaging. A semi-dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone. Balanced dome tweeters are semi-dome tweeters with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the tweeter.

Installation: Out of the box, the speaker fits metric 4x6 applications; using the included bracket, it will also fit standard 4x6 applications.
