Overview

Our take on the JVC KD-R330

If you're looking to upgrade the sound in your car without shelling out serious cash, take a good look at this striking JVC. The KD-R330 CD receiver is perfect for a teenager's first car, for a family's second car, or any car with a factory radio that's on its last legs. And you just might have enough left over for a pair of speakers, too.

A serious improvement in sound
First of all, you'll get a lot more power — 20 blazing watts of continuous juice. By comparison, your factory stereo probably struggles to crank out 5-10 watts. More power doesn't just mean you can play louder, though, it elevates definition and accuracy at all frequencies, giving you greater realism in your music.

JVC also packs the KD-R330 with a superior CD deck that'll make your discs sound their best, a sophisticated equalizer for dialing in the perfect sound in your car, and two auxiliary inputs for plugging in your gear. Built-in frequency filters let you tailor the JVC's output so your speakers (and subs, if you got 'em) only play what they were designed to handle.

Expansion possibilities
You'll find two auxiliary inputs for adding sound sources — use the rear input for a permanent source like a satellite radio, and the front source for plugging your iPod® or other portable. Add JVC's Bluetooth® adapter (not included), and you'll be able to take hands-free while your cell phone stays in your pocket or purse. If you're planning to add an amp or a powered sub, you'll find a set of preamp outputs, switchable to subwoofer mode so you can adjust the bass independent of your faders.

Good, inexpensive

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Tired of installing budget car stereos and decided to go with a name-brand unit. JVC has been at the forefront of quality for a long time and I went with the KD-R330 from Crutchfield. Installation instructions and included install kit made the process painless. The price was great as I searched all over the net for the best deal. The workmanship is good as is to be expected from JVC. I just retired and am not as technically adept as younger folks but I was able to decipher the operating instructions fairy easily. It looks cool, especially at night and looks like a factory installation in my Jeep Cherokee. The sound quality made a surprising difference between the factory stereo and this one. I am going to install rear speakers as well because of the improved sound. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Pros: Exact fit for my Jeep Cherokee. Everything necessary for installation was included. Instructions were easy to follow. Appearance is cutting edge cool. Sound is exceptional. Radio sensitivity is great as previously weak stations come in loud and clear. Operating menu is intuitive and easy to navigate. Price was super and shipping very fast.

Cons: Being an older guy and not up on all the newest tech devices, it took a little time to read and digest the operating instructions. Once I figured out the system it went very quickly. Technically savvy people would probably not even have to read the instructions.

I ordered this head unit on a Friday and it arrived at my house the following Wednesday. I did all of the installation myself, it took me about 3 and a half hours. All of the difficulty I faced was because I had never installed a head unit before. I know that it is not the highest quality out there but it has already made a world of difference from my stock head unit. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a good head unit to improve the sound system in their vehicle.

Pros: Easy install, easy to use, good quality, great value.

This is a great stereo for the price. Contols are easy to use. Lots of presets, and a clock on your dash for those who don't have a stand alone chronometer from the factory. Sound is strong and you can up the decibles if needed. Also bluetooth can be added later if you change your mind.

    Pros: Price, clock, sound.

    Cons: No USB port.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Got this for my 2007 Subaru Forester, it had the factory base stereo which was adequate but I wanted more. I'm a bit pressed for money so I ordered this only expecting the advantage of having an AUX cord (because I had been listening to CDs) but I was frankly blown away when I heard the improvement. Even with the factory speakers it simply sounds better. The equalizers are all great and if you buy the attachment it can be Bluetooth compatible. Great product, great price, would very highly recommend

Wally from New York on 6/13/2015

Bought this unit after my factory radio gave out. Easy to install in my Dodge Ram 1500 with the wiring harness and adapter faceplate that I purchased. Great sound and much better audio than the factory unit. Just attached the faceplate to the unit and then wired up the units wiring harness to the factory adapter following the wiring colors. Unit fit perfect just like the factory unit.

Pros: Great sound and easy to install. Great price.

Cons: Most of the functions are accessed from a single knob by running through a menu. I realize most things these days work this way but I am use to a knob for every function ( I'm from the dinosaur era).

This is by far one of the best head units for the price I have seen. After a few "off brand" deals, I went with a name brand budget radio. This will impress you. Very solid unit, it does not feel cheap. This is right on par with any JVC unit. Good sound, good display and good power for factory replacement speakers. It is hooked straight into 4 six and a halfs, no issues with sound quality. I am more than happy with every feature.

    1991 Lincoln Town Car
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For a Lincoln that I keep parked at the airport at the beach. The original stopped working and I replaced it with a guaranteed used one from a local recycle yard. After replacing it another time, I was told to replace the amplifier in the trunk, more money. Still no sound. This radio, along with its installation kit, cost much less than the used ones from the junk yard. It sounds much better than the original, and that was Lincoln's Premium Sound system. The best part of the whole project was how easy an unqualified person can install a first class sound system.

Pros: It came in 2 days. First class sound from a relatively inexpensive radio. Clear, precise instructions for installation and removal tools for the old radio as well. All I needed was my soldering iron.

Cons: Learning to set it up and use it. After getting used to it, it is quite easy, just different from stock systems.

    2005 Ford Focus ZX5
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've always turned to my audio/mechanic buddies in the past when it came to installing any kind of car-audio equipment. But after seeing pictures of the wiring harnesses and in-dash adapters you could get, I gave it a shot. I picked up this radio and the accessories to put in my 2005 Ford Focus station wagon to replace the stock 6-disc cd changer/radio. I have an iPod and wanted something with an audio jack. It took me about 90 minutes to splice the harnesses together and attach it to the harness under the dashboard. The colored wiring diagrams Crutchfield emailed me were easy-peasy and perfect. Fired it up and it works like magic! Quality sounds much better than the old stock radio. I love that it has two aux ins. Love that the faceplate is removable. It went so easily, three days later I ordered another of the same kit to put in our other car, a 2005 Ford Focus hatchback. Even faster installation since I knew exactly how to do it this time. Fantastic fast, free shipping, easy installation, and now I've got a sweet new deck in my car. Awesome. Thanks, Crutchfield

Pros: Fast installation. Pretty darn easy to do, even for someone who was never car-audio savvy. Gorgeous deck. Love the color of the lights. Beautiful sound. I've never heard my stock speakers sound as nice. 2 AUX inputs; one in front and one in back. I can hook my iPod cable in the back and just leave it there like it was stock.

Cons: Interface to set up presets can be a little clunky and take a little while to get the feel of it. Wish the clock was a default setting, or was always displaying somewhere. Not that big of a deal.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The sound is good, not excellent but what would you expect in a $70 deck. I like it in my commuter Honda Civic. The fit was great and the install went easy. My only knock is on the ease of use. You HAVE to read the instruction manual to figure out the settings. On any other deck in any other vehicle I've owned I could figure out the settings and functions on my own. Not so much with this deck. Getting to the audio controls was a slight chore.

Pros: Very good sound, great look.

Cons: Control functions hard to access. Takes some getting used to.

    Perfect for the price.

Perfect for the price. I bought this as a replacement for a 10 year old car. Worth every penny as Crutchfield offered service beyond what you would get at a brick and mortar store. Easy to install and easy to use. Simple buttons make for easy use while driving. Would buy another one if I were to replace an older stereo in a car.

Pros: Easy installation. Buttons are easy to use (once you figure them out). Sound quality is clear.

Cons: Not very visible in sunlight (even at its brightest).

This is a great head unit if you're looking to upgrade your factory stereo. I wish that the display was a bit bigger/brighter, but for what I paid I am really happy with this. I especially like being able to easily toggle between the EQ settings when I am listening to vocal podcasts instead of music.

    Pros: price, quality, decent power

Cons: display is sometimes hard to read

Spent half a day (not to mention time buying additional tools) trying to install. I'm comfortable with electrical wiring but the interface & harness that were required are like trying to get an octopus and a squid together. Once that was done, the unit just kept turning itself on & off with display occasionally blinking. Tried to reset it multiple times with no rated with this mess.changes. Never heard anything from the speakers. Better to have my old system that works than to get frustrated with this mess.

    Pros: None

Cons: Poor installation instructions for all equipment involved! Tripled the wiring already in the receiver area of the dashboard If you have a Toyota, don't buy this unit & additional materials

Crutchfield response on August 27, 2014 Installing a stereo usually isn't that hard, but it sure can be confusing sometimes, especially in today's cars. Don't forget that one of the best reasons to buy from Crutchfield is our free, lifetime tech support. She cried when I gave this stereo to her. I had iy installed, she turned it on and hugged me so tight I thought she'd broken my back, lol. Honestly the sound quality of this stereo is amazing! It looks good and really is an excellent buy for the money. It sounds like a much more expensive unit. It arrived at my door step so quickly I was shocked. It was so easy to order also. I would give this stereo a 10 if I could!

Bought this a replacement for Toyota Tundra. This was my second JVC swap as my Avalanche has an older version of basically the same unit. My Tundra had a factory outboard amp with the 6 speaker system and I was was sceptical to bypass it and just use the built in amp on the JVC. Seems to handle it well. Controls are well thought out and and screen is easy to read. The wiring harness adaptor was easy to solder and was a breeze due to the color coded wires. Always use the heat shrink tubing for a clean and trouble free install. For the price this unit is hard to beat.

    2001 Toyota Camry
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this receiver as part of a budget upgrade for my commuter car, a 2001 Camry. The stock speakers had dry rotted & for the price I can't complain. My door speaker were replaced with DRVN 6 & 1/2's, the deck speakers with CSV6948 6x9's, & I also have a single 10inch sub & amp from my last commuter car. Overall, the JVC speakers & head unit are very well matched & sound very good considering the system cost under $125 & less than 2hrs for self-installation. Thank You Cruthfield for the install manuals & the excellent install kit. I listen to a wide range of music & this budget system destroys the "premium" audio of my weekend car. I chose to drill a small hole in the rear of the pocket including with my install kit, & ran a 3.5mm cable for my phone from the rear input. When not in use, the cable is pushed in to the connector & remains out of the way. My biggest complaint is, when the rear input/output is set to subwoofer I do not get sound & cannot use the adjustments for the rear output. The red button lighting is too bright & draws attention at night. I am very savvy, but I understand why some people are confused by the interface, it does require a lot of distracting menu shuffling to make small EQ, etc. adjustments. I love it personally.

Pros: The Pro EQ settings, dual inputs jacks, remote is handy, can play mp3 discs, very good sound quality for the price.

Cons: Red bright, look at me lighting, daytime display, rear I/O setting does not work when set to sub, direct sight remote, faceplate sticks,

I purchased this unit to replace an old analog stereo in my camper. It sounds better than the orginial stereo ever did, and the receiver is good for pulling in distant stations. I was not looking for top notch sound, but something to listen to local radio and also the ability to pipe our TV into it (in camper) so TV sound will be everywhere in the camper. I am happy for what I got for the price.

Pros: Great receiver, rear input, front input, ability to adjust sound in many ways. Since this unit was installed in our camper, the remote control comes in very handy!

Cons: Adjustment of bass, treble, etc.. has to be done within the menu, it is not a problem though because once you get it set, you probablly will not change it that much. Once you get used to the menu it is fairly easy and quick.

A big improvement over my stock cassette in my 1999 taurus wagon. Now I can play CD's and use the accessory input to play music

Pros: Nice sound from stock speakers

Cons: I enjoy listening to AM radio. I might just as well have a pocket radio in the car. The reception and interference is horrible....engine static...heater motor static,...windshield wiper motor static. I know grounding can cause a problem so I made extra sure about that. It might me that the antenna cable that came with the after market mount (it runs all the way to the rear antenna (which is newly replaced also) is sub par. Who knows?

I had a Pioneer cassette receiver in my 1996 Impala that I was using for my old cassettes. I purchased that unit from Crutchfield in 1998 and used their conversion kit for the installation. I now replaced the old Pioneer with the JVC to be able to play CDs (Yes, I'm an "oldster"). After a few wire splices the unit fit the install kit the Pioneer had been mounted in. Sound quality is great with my JVC speakers purchased previously in 1998 from Crutchfield.

H2OMAN from Oak Ridge, NJ on 5/2/2013

I purchased this unit to replace my factory radio in my 2004 Accord Sedan. I selected it based on the video review, simplicity of controls and cost and elected to install it using the aftermarket kit in the cubby below the existing radio/climate controls. The included wire harness made the installation a breeze, and this unit CRANKS. Although I'm not an audiofile, I am pretty picky about my music and this unit does way more than I need. I mated it up with 6x9 JVC DRVN speakers in the rear and recently installed the component JVC DRVN 6.5s in the doors with tweeters mounted in the plastic sail panels located by both side view mirrors. After doing this, I am wowwed at the improvement over the factory stereo system. I can listen to the music louder and am hearing sounds never heard before with little to no distortion. Having the matching components made the difference. The head unit remote is super slick and I prefer that over the buttons since my eyesite is not what it used to be (I'm 50 okay..) The built in EQ settings are very useful and easy to switch between. I would buy this whole system again in a heartbeat! I also used the technical service as two of the leads (Illumination {Orange/Stripe} & External Power {Blue}) I needed clarification on connections. I'm now driving around listening to my CD's to hear the difference. You won't be dissappointed!!

Pros: Great Punch, Many features and ease of use. Love the remote and EQ presets!!

Cons: As some commented, the Night brightness of the bigger buttons is some folks pet peeve, for others its a plus in the "coolness factor". I'm indifferent. The menu system on these new head units does take getting used to, but anyone will encounter that over a factory "fossil".

    Durable radio!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a great durable radio. It is installed in a semi truck that travels up and down some pretty rough roads and the radio works good. We always buy JVC radios to replace factory truck radios when they go bad. JVC radios are durable, dependable, have the features our drivers want, and the price is right.

Pros: Remote control. Two Aux inputs that allows the drivers to plug their satellite radio into the Rear Aux and an Ipod into the front Aux. Price.

    Cons:

    Simple, Cheap.

    Good Value!

Chase from Boise, ID on 4/20/2013

I really like my JVC KD-R330. It sounds really great, and it wasn't too expensive. I replaced the factory stereo in my 04 Mustang with this and am really pleased. It sounds great, and looks awesome. There are two things that kept this from being a 5 star product. First, it can be a little complicated to maneuver through the menus. But this isn't a huge deal once you get it dialed in. Second, the rca sends to my subs aren't super loud. I had an Alpine receiver in my other car and my subs were really loud. With this receiver I have to turn up the sub level all the way and turn my master volume up in order to get them pumping. Other than these two things I really enjoy this receiver and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get a good value.

    Pros: Value, looks, aux inputs

Cons: Menu, sub rca isn't loud

So far I am very happy with this unit. It was very economical and yet has better sound then the original equipment. The adaptor wiring harness had very detailed instructions which made installation easy, even for a novice. The only negative I see is that during daylight hours, the backlight isn't sufficient to read the screen easily even on the brightest setting. That is a shortcoming I am able to put up with.

Pros: Good sound quality. Ease of installation.

Cons: Lighting not as bright as I would like it to be.

Was just looking for a basic CD receiver with a front auxiliary jack for my Android phone. Unit looks good, performs very well, it sounds better than the factory unit did. For the price, you can't beat this unit! I would recommend this to anyone wanting quality at a great price. Menu is a little tedious to navigate, just get the settings where you want them and live them there. Very easy to install with Crutchfield install kit and wiring harness. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to do it all. Installed in a 2005 Nissan Titan

Pros: Great price & performance. Did not think I would, but I actually use the remote.

Cons: Audio menu settings are not the easiest to navigate.

I really got way more than I expected. Only problem was that I had to play with it a while to figure out how to turn the loudness on. The manual was a little hard to follow. I never leave reviews for products but i am impressed with this model. I have this radio in my jeep wrangler yj. I installed it myself about a year ago. It still works great, sounds good matched with kicker speakers front 4x6 two way and rear 6x9 three way boxes. I leave the top off my jeep through spring summer and fall. It is exposed to weather elements rain, dense fog, mud, and trial dust every day and still works great, no issues. I have had a few other brands of cheap head units in my jeep but they dont last due to amount of abuse a topless jeep will put it through.

Pros: Great quality for a cheap price. Built to withstand the abuse of my topless off road jeep.

Cons: Doesnt have all the bells and whistles of more expensive units but puts out a great sound

This replaced an older Acura CD player installed in my 94 Honda Civic. All I was looking for was a basic receiver with AUX input, expandable Bluetooth capabilities, and a knob for the volume which it has. Only thing I don't currently like is the beep when selecting between presets (which there might be an option not to) and that I need to have my iPod nano up almost at full along with the radio around 30 to get decent volume.

Pros: Good bang for the buck, not too many features, can choose how bright the day and night display is.

Cons: Need high output from my iPod and receiver to get decent volume.

This stereo is great! It's affordable and does exactly what I needed it to. I bought it to replace my factory stereo that wasn't playing my CD's anymore and was happy to find out that I could get an affordable one with the ability to play my iPod as well. I was also happy to find how much better the sound quality is after upgrading from my factory stereo. The only thing I can say is bad about it is it's difficult to see the display when it's bright but when I've got my iPod on, I'm not really needing to look at it anyway. I also enjoyed ordering through Crutchfield after my uncle referred me, instead of Best Buy like I was originally going to do. I love that you can search for models that will fit in your car, and the customer service is great. A representative helped me decide on a stereo, get all the parts that I would need to install it and the cord for my iPod, and followed up about my order through e-mails.Thank you!

Cons: Display hard to see when it's bright outside

Good unit for the price. I only needed a good AM/FM stereo with a CD player for use to and from work since the original radio quit working. So I did not opt for all the latest and greatest features that are available. As with all the new stereos I looked at the buttons are very small (not like the original unit) and the menus are slightly less intuitive than they should be, probably so they could add all the features into the new units for greater appeal to the public. The best thing about this unit was getting it from Crutchfield and talking with their installation people on a weekend while doing the install since this was a new experience for me. Once I had my questions answered I was confident that I could do the upgrade without much trouble. It took me forever to get the wiring harnesses connected using a soldering iron I purchased to do the job. Everything else went smooth and fast.

Pros: Good sounding (probably very good but I can't really tell with the factory speakers still installed).

Cons: Instructions that came from the manufacturer inside the box indicated hooking up the Honda wiring harness blue wire to the JVC wiring harness orange wire. But thankfully on the outside of the box it showed the orange wires should be connected together which made the most sense.

Disc Protection: If the ejected disc is not removed within 15 seconds, the disc is automatically inserted again into the loading slot to protect it from dust. The source will change to CD, and the disc will begin playback, even if you have another source selected at the time.

Mounting: For proper disc playback you must install the unit within 30-degrees of horizontal.

    Aux Connection

Dual Auxiliary Inputs: A front-panel & rear-panel stereo minijack are provided to allow the connection of portable audio sources. Simply connect your portable digital music player to either the unit's front or rear auxiliary input, and you can listen to the audio from the portable player through the speakers in your mobile audio system.

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The JVC KD-R330 utilizes a 24-bit digital to analog converter for superior CD sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The KD-R330 is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit.

CEA2006 Compliant: The power specifications for the KD-R330 are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers. The power output specs for the KD-R330 are as follows:

    • CEA2006 Specs: 20 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 total watts)

Amplifier Gain Control: When you are using the KD-R330 with factory speakers (or those rated to less than 50 watts peak), the Amplifier Gain Control can limit the amount of power being sent to those speakers. When the Amp Gain Control is set to "low," the volume control ranges from 0 (minimum) to 30 (maximum). When using speakers rated higher than 50 watts peak, you can set the Amp Gain Control to "high," and the volume control will range from 0 to 50.

Volume Adjust: The input level of each source (other than FM) is adjustable relative to the FM radio volume, so there isn't a significant volume difference when changing sources. Each source is individually adjustable from -5 to +5.

Pro EQ: The KD-R330 is equipped with JVC's Pro EQ. The integrated equalizer offers 7 preset sound modes (Flat, Natural, Dynamic, Vocal Boost, Bass Boost, User) suitable for the music genre of your choice. The User mode allows you to manually adjust the head unit's 3-band parametric EQ (Frequency, Level, and Q-Factor).

    Pro EQ
    Frequency Level Q
    Bass 60, 80, 100, 200 Hz +/- 12 dB (-6 to +6) 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 2.0
    Midrange 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.5 kHz +/- 12 dB (-6 to +6) 0.75, 1.0, 1.25
    Treble 10.0, 12.5, 15.0, 17.5 khz +/- 12 dB (-6 to +6) Fixed

Loud (Loudness): This feature boosts low and high frequencies to produce a well-balanced sound at a low volume level. You can turn this feature on or off.

Switchable Preamp Output: The KD-R330 is equipped with one pair of 2.5V preamp outputs. You can set the Rear/SW preamp outputs for connecting rear speakers (through an external amplifier) or for connecting a subwoofer (through an external amplifier). When set for rear speakers, the rear outputs operate with the unit's fader control. When set for subwoofer, the outputs are non-fading.

Built-in Crossovers: The JVC KD-R330 features a built-in high-pass filter for the unit's front & rear speakers and a low-pass filter for the unit's subwoofer output.

    • Low-Pass Filter: When the unit's Rear/SW preamp output is set to Subwoofer, you can set the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter at 55Hz, 85Hz, or 120Hz.
    • High-Pass Filter: When the unit's Rear/SW preamp output is set to Subwoofer, you can also activate a high-pass filter (fixed at low-pass filter frequency) for the unit's front & rear channels (speaker- or preamp-level), so low frequency signals are cut off from your system's front & rear speakers.

Subwoofer Level: When the unit's Rear/SW preamp output is set to Subwoofer, you can adjust the head unit's subwoofer level between 0 and 8.

Key-Touch Tone: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. This function can be turned On or Off.

    Radio Functions

AM/FM Tuner: The JVC KD-R330 features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning.

Preset Tuning: You can store a total of 18 FM stations presets and 6 AM station presets. The radio allows you to set your AM/FM stations manually or automatically.

IF Filter: You can also switch the tuner's IF filter to Wide or Auto to increase/decrease the sensitivity.

Mono: If an analog FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive, you can manually switch the tuner to Mono operation.

US/European Tuning: You can set the built-in AM/FM tuner between US standard and European tuning spacing,

    Display Features

Detachable Face: The JVC KD-R330 features a detachable face to deter theft. A face-fixing screw is supplied for making the face non-detachable, if desired.

Note: No face case is included with this unit. An optional soft face case (142DFC1X, sold separately) can be purchased for this unit.

LCD: The head unit features a 14-segment, one-line LCD with adjustable brightness and dimmer settings.

Brightness: The unit offers an adjustable display and button illumination brightness level (0-31) for day and nighttime driving.

Display/Button Illumination Dimmer: The display/button illumination dimmer can be set to Off (normal brightness at all times), On (display/button illumination is always dimmed), or Auto (display dims when 12-volts is applied to the orange/white illumination lead).

    Bluetooth/Remote Control

Optional Bluetooth: The unit's rear-panel auxiliary input can also be used to connect JVC's KS-BTA100 Bluetooth Adapter (105KSBTA10, sold separately). The KS-BTA100 must be plugged into the rear-panel auxiliary input, and not the front-panel auxiliary input. The front-panel auxiliary input does not support Bluetooth. The KS-BTA100 gives you hands-free communication from your compatible Bluetooth mobile phone and wireless streaming audio from a Bluetooth enabled digital audio player. The optional JVC Bluetooth Adapter includes a super-sensitive microphone, an Answer/End button, and playback controls. The KD-R330 can be set to automatically mute any music audio to your vehicle's speakers so you can listen to your telephone call using your car speakers.

Note: Not all Bluetooth devices will be compatible. Visit the JVC Mobile Entertainment Bluetooth Support Page for a complete list of compatible Bluetooth enabled devices.

Wireless Remote Control: The KD-R330 comes supplied with a wireless remote control (RM-RK52). The remote contains Power, Attenuator, Sound, Source, Tracking, and Volume functions. The remote operates off of a single CR2025 3V Lithium-cell battery (included).

Good news. This will certainly play MP3 CDs - here is some info from the "Details" tab: The KD-R330 can play MP3 (8-320 kbps)/WMA files (32-192 kbps) that have been recorded on CD-R and CD-RW discs. The disc must be recorded in one of the following formats: ISO 9660 Level 1/Level 2, Joliet, Romeo or Windows long file. Each disc can have a maximum of 8 folder hierarchies, 255 folders, and no more than a total of 512 files and/or folders on each disc. The unit also supports IDTag3 (version 1.0, 1.1, 2.2, 2.3 or 2.4) for album and artist information from MP3 or WMA files. [ Jeff  May 05, 2015 ]  Staff
