Here's your chance to put JVC power in your vehicle at a great price. The powerful 2-channel KS-AX4302 amplifier puts out 100 watts RMS per channel to your full-range speakers, bringing new depth and power to your car audio system. You can also switch the amp to single-channel operation, and drive your subwoofer with 200 watts RMS. A subsonic filter removes ultra-low frequencies, so your amp and speakers don't have to waste energy trying to reproduce sounds that are below the range of human hearing.

The variable high- and low-pass filters allow your system to sound its best — you can trim low frequencies out of your speakers, or send only low bass to your subwoofer. If you want to add a little low-end punch, just dial in the variable bass boost at 45 Hz. You'll also find high- and low-level inputs so you can add this amp to almost any system, and preamp outputs give you an easy way to route the signal to a second amp in your system.

Product Highlights:

  • 2-channel car amplifier
  • 100 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (100 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms)
  • 200 watts RMS x 1 in bridged mode (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
  • variable high- and low-pass filters (50-400 Hz, 12 dB per octave)
  • variable bass boost (0-12 dB at 45 Hz)
  • subsonic filter (20 Hz)
  • MOSFET power supply and outputs
  • CEA-2006 compliant
  • speaker- and preamp-level inputs
  • preamp outputs
  • fuse rating: 20A x 2
  • 8-gauge power and ground leads recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
  • 11-13/16"W x 2-1/2"H x 10-7/16"D
  • warranty: 1 year
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

My system has plenty of power. Who needs an amp?

You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced an old 250 watt Rockfor Fosgate Amp. After owning the RF for over 8 years, it finally went out. This amp is now the replacement and is doing an outstanding job!!! I purchased my old RF for over $300 and purchasing this JVC for this much and with more power is unbelieveable.

Great/powerful amp

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Purchased this amp after deciding to put a subwoofer in my PT cruiser. Purchased a 12"
Bazooka woofer from CF and built my own sealed enclosure. All I can say is WOW, this
amp can make this thing thump in bridged mode. It won't give you the kind of bass that
will rattle your fenders off ( wasn't looking for that) but you'll defimately feel the music
with this one. Setup was a snap as well. Good quality product with allen screws for
termination. Thanks to CF, you guys rock!!

Money well spent, wasn't sure that I made the right choice on Amps, but Wow! Bridged it to one Focal 10" and have the gain only to half. plenty of power, very impressed! would defently buy again.

This amp is awesome

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This amp is awesome. Don't let the price fool you. I was unsure on how good this amp
could be at that price, but after connecting it up it sounds awesome. I have it powering a
10 inch bazooka in a ported box that i also bought from crutchfield, and it shakes my rear
view mirror. I am using the speaker level inputs with my factory pontiac radio and the
sound is powerful. I would recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive amp to
enhance your system. Thanks crutchfield for super quick shipping and keep up the great

Nice piece

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Well built and sounds great! Powering a Kicker sub in the trunk in 1 x 200W RMS mode and I have to turn the input back so it doesn't over power 4 x 60 W RMS for the Infinity separates in the front and Polk 6x9 3 ways in the rear deck.

Couldn't have imagined a amp like this for this price. A number of years ago when I sold car audio an amp like this would have been $400.

Excellent 2-channel amp

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For the price, you can't find a better bridgeable 2-channel anywhere.

This was purchased to power a 10" Alpine sub in my Grandson's regular cab Ranger. It was easy to install and adjust. Everything worked exactly the way it's supposed to and the amp provides more than adequate power. And it sounds great!

Good for the money.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This amp works great in my Rx300. I am using it to power a 12" sub in bridge mode.
However, since I am using a factory radio I had to use the cigarette lighter for my turn on
lead, this means my amp is always on while the car is running. When ever I turn the
radio off, the amp turned the wires in a giant antenna and plays this horrific sound, so I
never turn my radio off, simply mute it.

To the Rx300 owners: I know our car can be ruthless for installing car audio stuff,
however it is possible. You will have to run the power wire through the fender and into the
car since there is no room on the firewall to drill. You will have to use the cigarette lighter
in the trunk for the turn on lead (it pops out, don't take the panel off). And forfthe ground,
you will have to sand the paint off the bolts/body. A lot of work, but it's worth it.

Bank for the buck factor is a win

I bought this amp to originally power a Pioneer free-air 8" sub in my Mitsubishi Endeavor in the stock factory sub location. The amp proved to be too much for the sub in this location (it was literally blowing the "enclosure" apart), so I got a close out 10" Punch in a pre-loaded enclosure. It's pretty loud and clean with this setup, I actually dialed it back a bunch because it was too loud, I like a nice clear even sound, not overpowering bass. It's amazing what you can get for a few dollars nowadays!

Not bad!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got this after purchasing two sets of qualifying speakers (Alpine) and I have it powering two 100wpc rms alpine 6x9's. I wasn't sure what to expect but I must say the sound is excellent in every way. I have a 10" sub and an alpine mono amp to care for the low end but the JVC amp takes care of the midbass, mids and high's extremely well. Music is clear and dynamic. Thanks for a great deal! Crutchfield cannot be beat!

Great powerful thing for great low price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It just blew me away. 200W RMS in the bridge mode is just enough for my 12 `` subwoofer. The bass sounds just awesome and if I use all the power the whole car shakes. Great deal and great product from JVC.

Who woulda thunk it

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Never thought JVC would do a car amp, but for the price it drive my infinity components without a problem (and hard). I have ran several of their competitor's AMPs and for the daily drive this is a decent amp.

Well the amp works well BUT if your using good RCA cables be careful pulling them back out i pulled the outer cover right out of the amp.

Why not?

Written By ryan, cloquet mn on Wednesday, March 10, 2010

just got this amp in. i will be putting it in my GF's car. i was suprised by how big this amp was for how little power it does. my clarion that does over five times the power is the same size. i am not complaining. i am sure it will do the power it is rated for and maybe even then some. use it for a small sub or for two good speakers. again you can't go wrong for the price.

Great Amp

Written By Justin, DC on Wednesday, March 03, 2010

Disclaimer: I am a newbie to car audio. With that in mind, I have this amp hooked up to a 12" Kicker Comp. and it really pushes the sub. Sleek look, drives the sub as hard as I can handle (my back gets sore!) and seems to be reliable. Great amp for a great price in my opinion.

big power

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

i have been a fan of jvc for some time. over the years i have used thier products, but this
amp blew me away. it has good power, and is very adjustable. i liked the fact that the
conections didn't need fittings, just unscrew the allen head screws, stick in the wire and
tighten them down. overall this amp is very easy to use and has out preformed any that i
have owned so far

CEA-2006 Compliant: The specifications given by JVC for the KS-AX4302 amplifier comply with CEA-2006 Amplifier Power Standards from the CEA (Consumer Electronics Association). All manufacturers who comply with the standard can display the CEA-2006 logo on their product.

Tri-Mode: When using appropriate passive crossovers on all speakers, the KS-AX4302 can power two stereo speakers (4Ω minimum with a high-pass passive crossover) and a single subwoofer (4Ω minimum with a low-pass passive crossover) simultaneously.

4-Way Protection: The amplifier features a protection circuit that will turn the unit off if any of the following four conditions occur:

  • Thermal: the operating temperature of the amp gets too high
  • Short Circuit: there is a short circuit on one of the speaker wires
  • Overload: the impedance of the connected load is too low
  • DC Offset: direct current is detected on the speaker wires

LEDs: A blue LED on the top and a green LED on the right side light to indicate the power is on. A red LED on the right side lights to indicate the protection has engaged.

Internal Crossover: The amplifier's internal crossover can be set to HPF (high-pass filter), LPF (low-pass filter), or Off (full range, the crossover is bypassed). The crossover point is continuously variable from 50 Hz to 400 Hz; the slope is 12dB/octave.

Power Connections: The power, ground, and remote inputs are set screw terminals. JVC recommends 8 gauge wire minimum for power and ground; the power and ground terminals will accept up to 4 gauge bare wire, the remote terminal will accept up to 8 gauge bare wire.

Inputs: The KS-AX4302 offers both line-level and speaker-level inputs. The supplied speaker-level input harness allows you to connect the input to a receiver without preamp outputs, either aftermarket or factory.

Speaker Connections: The speaker outputs are also set screw terminals. JVC recommends 8-18 gauge speaker wire; the terminals will accept up to 8 gauge bare wire.
