JVC's Arsenal CS-AW6240 12" subwoofer sports a mean battleaxe logo, letting your competition know that you're serious about your bass. Dual-cap construction combines a metal-coated olefin diaphragm with a pulp cone that's been reinforced with Aramid fibers. A butyl rubber surround maintains tight control over cone excursion. This low-end warrior works in sealed and ported boxes, and handles up to 350 watts RMS for bass that has your back anytime.

Built to last
Want your bass investment to last a while? This sub features a tough aluminum basket and a 53.7-ounce strontium magnet for extreme durability. A resin magnet cover shields the sub's inner workings from damaging heat, so it can work louder and longer, even under high-current loads. And JVC backs their Arsenal subs with a two-year warranty.

Installation flexibility
The CS-AW6240 also gives you options. It features dual 4-ohm voice coils with nickel-plated screw terminals for convenient installation and flexibility in wiring your system. The rubber trim ring lets you finish your installation with a clean, professional look.

Note: If you are wiring this DVC sub for lower impedance, make sure that your amp is compatible. Most 2-channel car amplifiers are stable down to 2 ohms in standard mode, or 4 ohms in bridged operation. Most mono amps are stable down to 2 ohms.

What's a component sub and why would I want one?

A component sub is simply a speaker that's designed to reproduce bass once it's installed in a compatible enclosure. Think about the impact of a movie soundtrack in a big theater or even in your own home HDTV setup. A component sub can add the same kind of power to the music in your car. And a car sub is not all about the boom that you hear on a street corner (although that's cool too) - you can pair a component sub with your choice of enclosure to get bass just the way you like it, from tight and punchy to fat and loose. And once you experience music in your car with a well-tuned subwoofer, you'll never go back.

These subs hit hard clean bass!!!

Have 2 of these on my SUV with their Warren G series amp and couldnt be more happy with the sound of the bass even at the lowest frequencies, very clean. JVC is doing fine quality car products especially with their arsenal series. Puts any other brand to shake.

Nice clean bass

First off to Collin, if you throw 1000 watts to the sub it will be way to much. It's 350 watt rms. The peak is 1000 watts and you should never go by peak wattage on anything. The 450watts you are throwing at it is enough as it's OK to overpower a GOOD sub by 100 watts.

Now this sub is very clean sounding and hits hard in a ported box in the back of my girlfriend's camry. I can't wait to get the newer JVC Arsenal and amp package from Crutchfield for my ride.

better then you think

Ive never seen a bad review in regards to these subs...Not only do owners rave about them but well respected audio magazines and websites sing praises regarding the versatility and the ability of these subs. I have 4 running in my SUV with a JVC arsenal deck and can only say that they simple crush Alpine, Rockford and any other "name brand" that most people bring up when it comes to sound...Ive had ppl scawf at the idea that my system can out play theirs because they had the above noted brands in their vehicles only to see sad faces when they realize they payed for garbage :D

Serious Bass

I have 2 of these banging hard in my trunk, wired up to my pioneer amp. Arsenals are serious, up there with Pioneer and Alpine. Theyre a high-midrange sub. Very loud! and great RMS.

Definitley does its job of beating up the neighborhood
