bought this to replace a cerwin vega center channel WOW what a big difference everything is so clear now blends perfectly with my polk R50 fronts monitor 40 surrounds and R15 back surrounds now all i need is a good sub.........

Center of home theatre

The Polk CS2 finished my home theatre system. Had originally bought the Pro 600 system had a good sound but lacked some definition. First I added Polk Monitor 60's now we had a much bigger sound and put the Pro 600 as surround backs. The Pro 600 center was now the weak spot sounded more broadcast than open and musical, the sound didn't match what I liked about the 60's, smooth full and linear. Once I wired the CS2 the three fronts had a seamless presentation. I'm running the Sony STR DG820 , 110 watts Sony Blue Ray 350 and a Sony LCD 52 Screen. It's not TV it's cinema in my home. The musical quality when listening to CD's also has been a home run also whether it be rock or acoustic the clarity and punch is there. This center speaker is big physically but it fit on the shelf below my screen i flipped so the projection is sent slightly upward toward the listening and viewing area the couch. At low or high volume clarity is always there, big full sound is present at even levels.

Excellent Product. I researched many surround systems and Polk is always the top rated.
I am using as center channel in a dolby digital 5.1, and sound is loud and clear. I paired this with ceiling mounted Polk RC80i's for the front left/right and rear left/right, and for football games it sounds like you are sitting on the 50 yard line!
One word of caution - this is a fairly large speaker - I have installed it inside a built-in and hid it behind speaker cloth, but be sure to measure your space prior to purchase, and be sure it will look good in the place you plan to install.

I purchased a set of Polk speakers. Monitor 70's in front, CS2 in middle and 4 Polk in ceiling speakers (RCi 60's) for surrounds. Also I have a PSW 10 sub, withwhich I'll be adding another of the same. Together, this system is awesome sounding. I have a basement room, about 650 sqft, and this speaker really fills the room. It works great for positioning the voices/sounds that are centered on the screen. Also, it's 6.5 in speakers are the same size as all the other Polk mid-base speakers that I have in the room. They handle my Onkyo 100W per ch/7.1 power just fine. @ no volume level did I hear any clipping. (except for that PSW10 sub, who's 50W power is just a little short in such a large room). the only downfall of this speaker is it's size. I'm building my own enclosure, but if I wasn't, this speaker might be a little large @ 8in tall and about 22 inches wide.

Superb Center Speaker

I purchased this center speaker because the dialog of movies with my original center speaker was unclear. Wow, this speaker solves that problem! I can't say enough about the quality and depth of sound present here. I recommend it highly as an excellent way to upgrade the original center speaker that comes with a "system in a box."
