At 100 watts rms per channel up front, a component set of Polk Audio db5251 does the job. I bought the db570 hoping for timbre matching with the front and I am powering them with an old Kenwood 50 x 2 amp. Gain and attenuation at the HU draw most of the SPL up front but there is a nagging presence in the rear and I can't EQ it to mimic the front speakers. These speakers, though I didn't expect the exact same quality, sound like mud compared to the front and they actually detract from the overall listening experience. They get a two because this is a higher end install and I expect in a less extensive system they would fare much better with the other gear. They gotta go. Was this review helpful? I ran a Bose wave radio demo CD before the install, then again after, and the difference in sound over factory is incredible. As far as installation, the side tabs on the front speakers had to be bent to allow the speaker to recess into the hole in the door mold, and only 3 screws lined up. However, I will say that these are recommended as a direct fit for the Ford F-150, and while they do fit in the factory opening well, you can only get 2 out of the original 4 screws into these speakers. If you put one in the top left and bottom right, it holds it nice and tight but there is no way to get all 4 original screws back in without some type of modification. Other than that they are a huge improvement over my factory speakers (which were just terrible, Ford, in case you're listening).
