Vast improvement over stock. Not what I would consider audiophile quality, but considering I am using the stock factory head unit, and no amps, subs, ect. I am satisfied with the sound - for now. Install was fairly simple, thanks to the instructions Cruthfield supplied with the speakers. If Crutchfield can stand a little constructive criticism, one of the first steps in the install instructions is to remove the cover behind the inside door handle, to access the bolt, but all the sheet shows is the cover already removed. It does not give a clue HOW to remove it! I found you need to get behind this cover on the lower left corner, while holding the handle away from the door, as if you were opening it, with some sort of hook type device, and pull sharply. I have an old window moulding clip removal tool that worked perfect for this. once I figured this out, the rest was fairly simple. I would recommend connecting the power window switch, and make sure everything is out of the way from anything that moves BEFORE you reinstall the door panel. I used cable ties to secure the adapter cables to a factory harness inside the door. Interesting observation, I think I may have figured out why the stock speakers sound so bad. On the speaker magnet of the FORD speaker, it reads, plain as day "MADE IN CHINA". Sure am glad I bought American! These must have cost Ford all of 80 cents each!
Pros: Price, if you get the buy one - get one half price deal. Seem to be made from quality materials. Installation instructions included - for your vehicle.
Cons: Not a "perfect" fit. Had to use some creative screw angles to use the factory holes, or you can redrill two of them.
