Dreaming about better sound in your car audio system? Do you want lows that are full and definitive? Highs that resonate with clarity? Stop dreaming! Polk's db Series db6750 component system uses Dynamic Balance 6-3/4" polymer/mica woofers to produce full, rich lows that are free of detail-robbing distortion. Rubber surrounds, Kapton voice coil formers, and pole plate heat sinks protect the woofers against the stresses of heat and time.

The liquid-cooled silk/polymer composite tweeters can be mounted using either flush- or surface-mount cups to project the detailed highs for optimal imaging. The two-way crossover networks (3,400 Hz, 12 dB/octave) ensure smooth, well-balanced output, with built-in protection circuitry to guard your tweeters against accidental overloads.

Don't limit yourself to only using these speakers in your car — they've passed tough environmental testing that certifies them for marine use as well.

Why install component speakers?

A component speaker system gives you the best possible performance from your car audio system. A system consists of separate woofers, tweeters, and crossovers, each designed to cover one specific range of frequencies. As separate components, the woofer can move freely to deliver more powerful performance, while the tweeter can be custom-mounted in a better spot up closer to your ears, revealing a whole new world of detail. Separate crossovers are far superior to the simple filters wired into full-range speakers, so the components work together for smoother, more focused sound.

Good for the $

I bought these after blowing out a set of Infinity Kappa 60.5cs 6 1/2" components. I have them crossed over @ 110 hrtz so I can't attest to the bass output. The tweeters aren't the best I've heard but they're not fatiguing to listen to for extended periods @ high volume like the infinitys and they can handle high volume w/out going into protection mode.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I put a set of these in the front doors (fully dynomated)of my 03 spec v. I had them powered by my pioneer p80mp 27x4 and they sounded good, but definitely needed more power. I powered them with my mtx 4405 amp with 59x4 rms (according to the birth sheet) and the sound is amazing. To me they do lack a little on the bass (that is why i gave them 4stars). I have a set of rockford t162c in the rear powered by the same amp and they pound out alot more bass but don't have the smooth mids and highs as the polks.

Polk Audio db6750

I recently installed this component set in my Grand Cherokee (drilling required, but who cares?) with a set of speaker baffles and they sound amazing! At first I had them powered with my Premier DEH-P8MP headunit (27Wrms x4) and the tweeters sounded way too bright....had me seriously second-guessing my Polk purchase! Not long afterwards I installed a JL Audio 500/5 to finally give them the 100Wrms they deserve and the difference was night and day. You really need the right power if you want these speakers to perform properly, especially regarding the woofer.

Highly recommended if you've got the 100Wrms they crave.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Aloha All
Got these speakers running front and rear in my 2000 Chevy Astro XXXtreme. These Polks replaced the factory front components nicely except for the woofer holes don't line up, Same goes for the rear woofers. Need to drill. The rear tweeters took the place of the 4x6 pillar speakers. I'll leave that to your installation imagination. Pushing the Polks is a Pioneer DEH-P77DH deck (see my review). Thought I would need an amp but the Polks take the decks tickling 22Wrms and screams Loud & Clean! Though I am curious to hear what a raping 1000W-4ch Profile would do. Capped off with an Audiobahn 8" powered S/W (some problems see my review) and you talk about an impressively quality sounding setup. Outside of the vehicle they'll definitely know it's not stock but sit inside and you'll have front row concert seating, well maybe 2nd row. Anyway'z, definitely recommended if you're looking for something a lot more then just an upgrade from stock. Solid system.

Installed dB6750's up front and dB650's in the rear deck of an '01 Galant. Have a 4 channel (75w rms/ch)powering the speakers and I must say, that I was impressed. Very good clarity and the ability to play loud. Good midbass response from all four corners. Have a separate sub to handle the real oomph. The Polk's compliment the sub very well though. My friend is quite pleased with the speaker selection I made for him. Another happy customer. And thank you very much Crutchfield for getting us these speakers only 2 days later, thus lending to the timely install.

Product Research

Dynamic Balance: Dynamic Balance is a proprietary Polk Audio technology using laser imaging to determine what combination of speaker materials create the least amount of resonance. Eliminating resonance in speakers results in a wide, smooth response and low distortion.

Marine Certified Woofers: Polk db Series speakers are built to withstand exposure to moisture and UV rays, so they work well in boats and cars.

Woofer Cones: Each speaker features a Dynamic Balance polymer/mica composite mineral-filled cone. The cones are stiff and lightweight for big sound and low distortion.

Butyl Rubber Surrounds: For a smoother response and improved durability, the woofers use butyl rubber surrounds.

Kapton Voice Coil Formers: The low-mass 2-Layer 1" Kapton Voice Coil formers are lightweight for high sound output. Kapton's high melting temperature ensures high power handling and excellent reliability.

Pole Plate Heat Sinks: The pole plate heat sinks promote better heat dissipation for superior power handling and reliability.

Silk/Polymer Composite Tweeters: The 1" liquid-cooled, silk/polymer composite tweeters provide clear, detailed highs.

Marine Certified Tweeters: Polk db Series speakers are built to withstand exposure to moisture and UV rays, so they work well in boats and cars.

Mounting: The supplied mounting cups allow you to surface- or flush-mount the tweeters. The tweeters swivel in the flush-mount housings, allowing you to adjust them for optimum imaging.

Tweeter Mounting Dimensions:

2-Way Crossovers: Each crossover features a 12dB/octave, 3.4kHz high-pass network for the tweeter and a 12dB/octave, 3.4kHz low-pass network for the woofer.

Electronic Tweeter Protection Circuits: Each crossover has a built-in protection circuit that guards the tweeter against accidental damage from high power.

Crossover Connections: The crossover inputs and outputs are screw terminals.

Mounting: There are two mounting holes in the base of each crossover.
