Your bass will rumble like thunder with the revolutionary Polk/MOMO MM120 12" subwoofer. It's built with the industry's strongest poly-graphite cone to reproduce your lows accurately and without distortion. The special high-mass MOMO red dust cap helps to provide powerful low frequency response.

The 2" vented voice coil helps to keep the sub cool and the volume high. Put all these features together and you have a new standard in deep bass and commanding appearance.

Priced per speaker

What's a component sub and why would I want one?

A component sub is simply a speaker that's designed to reproduce bass once it's installed in a compatible enclosure. Think about the impact of a movie soundtrack in a big theater or even in your own home HDTV setup. A component sub can add the same kind of power to the music in your car. And a car sub is not all about the boom that you hear on a street corner (although that's cool too) - you can pair a component sub with your choice of enclosure to get bass just the way you like it, from tight and punchy to fat and loose. And once you experience music in your car with a well-tuned subwoofer, you'll never go back.

Features:

Cast Aluminum MOMO Arrow Basket: The futuristic-looking woofer basket is designed to mimic MOMO wheel designs. The basket is finished with glossy silver metallic paint.

Motor Cup: The 4 lb., 2 oz. magnet is covered by a metal cup made to match the basket's styling. The outside of the cup is finished with glossy silver metallic paint, and the bottom of the cup is a machined aluminum surface protected by a clear coating.  An orange acrylic plate with a yellow MOMO logo is attached to the bottom of the cup, and the bottom of the cup is embossed with a Polk Audio logo.

Cone Material: The woofer cone is made with poly/graphite. The cone is light, but strong enough to maintain it's shape at high output levels. The cone is extremely stiff to withstand the pressures generated inside of a small enclosure without breakup or distortion.

MOMO Red ABS Dustcap: The dustcap is made of thick ABS plastic for high mass and durability. The dustcap is red with a yellow MOMO logo (located in the center of the cap) and white Polk Audio logos (around the outer edge of the cap).

Surround Material: A rubber surround is used to guarantee long-term reliability. The surround extends outward towards the edge of the speaker frame to form an integrated bottom-mount gasket.

Voice Coil: A four layer, 2" diameter voice coil design is used for high power handling.

Vented Pole Piece: The vented pole piece lets air circulate over voice coil to keep it cool and your music sounding great.

Spider Material: This spider is made with aramid fibers for exceptionally accurate control over woofer travel.

Integrated Rear Spider Vent: The outer edge of the spider is attached to a vented structure that allows air to be drawn in behind the spider to cool the voice coil. The additional cooling power helps ensure high power handling and long-term reliability.

Binding Post Inputs: This woofer is equipped with rugged, highly-conductive nickel-plated binding posts. The posts will accept bare wire, spade connectors, banana plugs and pin connectors, but they will not accept dual-banana plugs.

Enclosure Recommendation:

Polk recommends the following enclosure type and size:

  • Enclosure Type: sealed (acoustic suspension)
  • Enclosure Volume: 0.88 cu/ft (24.9 liters)

Special Note:

Manual Correction: The manual incorrectly lists the woofer cone material as "polymer/mica". Per Polk Audio, the woofer cone material is poly/graphite.
