great bookshelf speakers

I've had these speakers for a little over 5 yrs now and love these. the mid and tweeter blend perfectly and the accuracy is incredible for a speaker of this size. I plan on getting an amp to really drive these. the speakers are punchy pending one what song is playing but when i turn them up really loud they are crystal clear and never miss a beat. even today, they suprise me at how well they sound even at low volumes. they durability is great.
I've never had a problem with the speakers and will say they speakers don't put out moster bass. but for their size its perfect. if your looking for wall shaking bass your not going to get it from these, If u want to shake the walls buy an SVS subwoofer! hope this review was helpful for anyone interested in these speakers.

Better than Bose

I upgraded my system from an Onkyo Dolby Digital 5.1 with a Bose
Accoustimass 6 speaker system. I am using the Monitor 30 as rear
speakers along with Monitor 60 as front speakers. The subwoofer is the
PSW111. I am driving these with a Pioneer THX receiver. The sound is
more than I expected. Running Star Wars through this system provided
sounds never picked up by the Bose, especially through the rear speakers.
I would highly recommend this speaker set-up. Size wise they may be
larger than many
people want but they are not so large that they cannot be adequately
placed out of the way. Not to mention they handle music so much better
than compact 5.1 systems.

Very Clean!

After doing some extensive research, I ordered these monitors and am soooo glad I did. After adding polk db series speakers in the car, I am a coverted fan for life so I thought I would give these a try. WOW! The build quality for the price point is impeccable. The sound, even better. Highs are crisp and clean but not too bright, midbass and midrange is tight and snappy. I will concur with others that a powered sub is imperative to round out the full audible spectrum, but these sound nice just by themselves. Add my 200 watt powered 12 and the room comes alive with sound. These are great for a simple stereo setup or would work nicely as fronts and surrounds in a 5.1 or 6.1 setup. In my opinion, no other speaker manufacturer compares to Polk for the money.

Polk Audio Monitor 30

I got these at a good time. These monitors do an outstanding job as surround speakers for my home entertainment system.They are paired up with Polk tower RTI14 and a Polk center speaker.Nice looking speaker as well. Crutchfield is a good place to do business, always there to help if needed.

Amazazing

Wow these little speakers do the job for my small home theater, matched with the cs1 center and the polk audio R15 as surrounds. This is a great set-up small but they pack a punch. Oh i also have the infinity ps12 sub. My friends and family are amazed with this small set-up. Thanks Crutchfield for the help.
