These were purchased to be used as surround speakers and they do the
job well. They're the perfect size for surround speakers and look and
sound great. Out of curiousity, I connected them as main speakers to see
how they'd sound. Except for the lack of bass response, they sounded
really loud and really clear. Polk speakers rock!

Excellent Value!

I put a pair of these and a Polk PSW-10 sub in my sons bedroom with an
inexpensive receiver. He uses the system mostly for gaming.
These speakers are simply amazing for the price. I don't claim to be an
expert, but I think they are likely the best bang/buck you will ever find in
the realm of audio equiptment.
For a smaller room, you simply can't go wrong if you just want good sound
for the money and don't care about the snob factor.
Oustanding!

Light Weight Speakers

Light weight speakers for a light weight price. Might be OK for background music that you want to be subtle and barely noticed. I returned them and upon the advice of a big box employee I went to XXXX guitar store and bought a pair of passive studio monitors. Now I have a much bigger and bolder sound even at a fairly low volume setting. And to be fair the speakers I bought did cost twice as much but my system deserved heavier duty speakers. (make sure your amp produces enough wattage... as always) Note: More advanced/expensive studio monitors might not be suitable for home audio!!! The ones I bought suit my individual taste.

Very Nice for the Price!

What can be said hearing is beleiving. Imaging and natural sound for this price. Unheard of!!!!!!! I have had some high dollar speakers in my day, JBL, Infinity, etc. But never have I had this sound. My old speakers were over $500 a pair and not that much better.
