The impressive RM7200 includes four beautifully sculpted satellites for front and surround channels and a matching center speaker, teamed with a powered subwoofer. Each video-shielded satellite houses two of Polk's low-distortion Dynamic Balance drivers: a 3/4" soft dome tweeter, and a 3-1/4" midrange, vented by a Power Port assembly. The voice-matched, video-shielded center speaker has the same tweeter, flanked by two of the midranges, plus dual Power Ports.
Polk's intelligent speaker design mounts the driver components on a raised bezel to minimize sound-smearing grille edge diffraction, and employs sleek, rounded contours to minimize cabinet-edge diffraction. The result is very spacious imaging with a wide, deep soundstage. And here's an added bonus — the shallow 4" depth of the satellites makes them especially well-suited for wall-mounting, and their Power Port assemblies ingeniously double as wall brackets!
The included PSW550 powered subwoofer provides the high-impact bass for all channels. Its 100-watt RMS amplifier drives a down-firing 8" woofer, vented via a down-firing Power Port.
