Attractive design, made for Polk speakers, works well, looks good. As usual, Crutchfield ships quickly, a pleasure to do business with.

Polk Audio SA3

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

good solid construction, but a lot of styrofoam debris stuck in it and on it necessitating a real thorough wiping down. The screw holes for the speaker attachment pieces were poorly machined, causing the screws not to completely screw in even with a power driver, thus stripping the top of the screws--I had to go out and buy more at a hardward store. It took quite a bit of time and effort to assemble for what should have been a 5 minute job. One of the base screws would not fully screw in tightly no matter what, even when I switched it out for the other 3 base screws so that machining was also poorly done and the hole was obviously not well-aligned. Fully assembled the stands look reasonably nice, but I noted that the instructions are poorly written and the finished product takes a lot of careful work to get it assembled.

Seamless integration, not just for carpets

Written By RCN, Fayetteville, NC on Monday, September 20, 2010

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these speaker stands along with the RM87 speaker set. I had no problems
attaching them (RM7 satellites) and together they look great. Polk did a great job
designing these so that the speakers seamlessly integrate for a clean, high-tech look. The
speakers can rotate a bit also in order to achieve proper sound positioning. I only needed
one pair since the other speakers are wall-mounted, but I'm thinking of getting a couple
more pairs for when I move. The carpet spikes are referred to as "non-removeable" but
one of mine was "removed" in transit. A little instant glue and all is well. If you need to put
these on hardwood floors, don't worry about the spikes - on the other side of the glass are
rounded metal caps to hide the glue marks. It's not a problem to reverse the mounting of
the glass (just make sure to also reverse the plastic ferrule in the bolt hole). As long as
you aren't constantly sliding the stands around, I doubt you would need to worry about
scratches. Be careful not to step on the base since now the spikes are pointing up!
Dusting is easy since all the surfaces are smooth, with the only crevice being between the
bottom rear of the speaker and the stand. Definitely recommended.

Perfect for the Polk Audio RM95

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these together with the Polk Audio RM95 so I do not have to drill into
the walls.

The build quality is excellent.

I will have to say that some of the edges on the end where the speaker/wires go
is very sharp, please be careful not to cut yourself.

Very Nice Stands

Written By Steven, Lovettsville, VA on Wednesday, April 08, 2009

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought the Polk RM6900 5.1 speaker system a couple years ago and had the front speakers sitting on the floor (on desktop-style stands). Set up that way, they were probably 2 feet below seated ear level. These stands fix that problem nicely: they are just the right height, match the styling of the speakers, are attractive, and are stable.

The one negative, noted by another customer, is that the holes in the speaker stands don't exactly line up with the threaded holes on the backs of the speakers. They are mis-matched by about 1/8" inch... just enough to keep the mounting bolts from engaging. It only took about 10 minutes to fix the problem with a drill, but was an annoyance.

Now that they are set up, I'm sorry I didn't buy these stands long ago. The Polk speakers sound *much* better set at ear level. Very good.

Beautiful Speaker Stands

Written By Scott, Decatur, AL on Monday, February 02, 2009

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Gorgeious stands, but it takes a bit of work to make RM 20 speakers fit. Tried to attach the speakers using the wall-mount kit that came with the speakers (purchased 2 years ago), but the plastic adapter looked out of place and the speakers were front-heavy: I feared they would tip over.

The pre-drilled holes in the back of the stands did not line up with the mounting holes on my speakers, so I used a drill to enlarge the speaker stand holes.

Now that it's assembled, it looks fantastic, the speakers are at the right height and the stands are stable.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I couldn't be happier with the Polk Audio speaker stands I recently order. The quality of the materials used is outstanding, it was easy to attach my speakers, and their appearance is aesthetically perfect in my room. For anyone who needs speaker stands, I would strongly recommend these stands. They're perfect!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy assembly. Quality, well made stands. Perfect for RM10 satellite speakers. Height is right for sit down listening. Easy to move for experimenting with speaker location. Nice, contemporary look. Would highly recommend even for the $149.99 pair price tag.
