Make every movie night way more exciting with Polk's TL250 five-speaker system. These speakers use some advanced technologies to create incredibly lifelike sound that draws you into your on-screen entertainment. The four Blackstone satellite speakers and the Blackstone center channel speaker produce effortless sound with startling dynamics, especially given their small size. Just add the Polk powered subwoofer of your choice to get deep, room-shaking bass. You can even upgrade to a seven-channel home theater when you add an extra pair of satellite speakers to the mix.
Advanced technology produces effortlessly natural sound
Polk's latest breakthrough is "Time Lens" technology, which aligns the drivers in such a way that high- and low-frequency sounds all reach your ears at the same time. It improves the speakers' soundstaging and imaging, so that you'll start to forget you're watching a movie and really feel like you're part of the action. This technology makes this system great for video games, too, because you'll be able to clearly pinpoint where sounds are coming from all around you, like monster roars or enemy gunfire.
Polk's enclosure design puts performance first
The satellite and center channel speakers also use an "acoustic lens" in their grilles to disperse sound waves in a way that makes your music and movie soundtracks sound larger and more open. They feature Polk's acclaimed PowerPort® technology to help reinforce lower bass output. Plus, each sturdy cabinets are reinforced with steel plates to help fight resonances that can muddy the sound.
Looking for speakers that'll deliver thrilling, edge-of-your-seat surround sound? Choosing a pre-matched speaker system is one way to ensure seamless home theater performance. These systems are made up of speakers that share the same tonal characteristics that means the sound will stay consistent as it moves from speaker to speaker around your room. Most pre-matched systems come with a subwoofer a must-have for high-impact bass.
Love them Great quality.
Pros: just love em
Bought this as an upgrade for my prior Polk audio system. no doubt this is an amazing speaker, sound is incredible for the size of it. Loved it.
Pros: great sound and size, good price, excellent quality,
Cons: does not come with mounting brackets need to buy it separate.
These are for my son whose house burned down and he lost everything. I bought these for him, they are going to be used in a 7.2 setup and I am giving him a set of Polk monitor 40 series II speakers for the front and a Martin Logan 200 watt RMS subwoofer to complete the 7.2 setup. After consulting with Crutchfield advisors, they said that the Polk monitor 40 would work great with these polk speakers in a 7.2 setup. I looked at KEF, ORB, Bose and decided on the Polk, It was a wise choice. Thanks for your help.
Pros: What else can I say, these are great quality and great sound. Way to go Crutchfield!!!!
I replaced an older set of Bose speakers with this Polk setup (including subwoofer). Very pleased with the sound quality, look, and quality. Blow the Bose away!
Pros: Size, sound quality, value for dollar.
Cons: Difficult to attach to speaker stands. Wish Polk made stands specific for them.
Bought these for my new basement theater room and paired them with the Polk Audio 12in subwoofer. The mounting options (keyhole or screw terminal) provide flexibility in installation and the screw terminals for the speaker wires also support banana plugs. I am very pleased with this choice.
Pros: compact, easy to install, great sound quality!
Cons: none at this time
I was not sure what to expect when ordering this Polk speaker suite, but I was hoping it would be enough to fill my 30'x15' living room with sufficient volume without clipping. I was very pleasantly surprised at how gutsy these little guys are. They have an impressively wide soundstage and provide nice sonic detail through complex movie scenes. But make sure you have a subwoofer to go with them, or else you're going to be pushing these things into territory they do not belong.
If I have one complaint it's that they can be a touch sibilant in spots. Fortunately I have not experienced this with dialog, just aggressive sound effects.
Overall, highly recommended for a home theater enthusiast on a budget, just make sure you leave some in your budget for a powered subwoofer.
Pros: - Capable of handling high volume load - Detailed sound reproduction - Pleasing aesthetics
Cons: - Can be sibilant on rare occasions
Great little speakers that will work well in most any room as long as you have at least one sub to compensate for there lack of size. Mate with a 111 and a 505 for impressive results.
Pros: Compact, high RMS capacity
Cons: Not much on the low end but that's not what they're made for.
Polk only makes speakers. .They know what they are doing. .Ultimately 2nd to none
These speakers are great speakers for the money. I have them hooked up to a 7.1 surround system, with 2 Polk Audio Tsi300 tower speakers as the front speakers and a Onkyo receiver. They sound great whether listening to music or watching a movie.
I have long been a fan of Polk audio products. The TL250 system replaced a Bose Lifestyle surround system. Including an Onkyo TN-NR636, I paid less than half of what I spent on the Bose system 20 years ago. The Polk/Onkyo setup is a huge improvement over the Bose system. Polk was running a special and included a powered subwoofer at no charge. I have seen other reviews saying that the PSW - 111 is lacking in bass response. My room is 13' x 13' and I have hardwood floors. The bass is tremendous, with the setting at slightly less than 1/2 on the volume control. The staff at the Crutchfield store in Charlottesville were extremely helpful.
Pros: Sound quality, price
Great speakers for the price and size
Pros: Small sleek design with excellent quality
Pros: Beautiful sound from bookshelf speakers. Blend nicely with the walls and aren't obtrusive on the stands. Free sub certainly helped sway me towards these speakers. Had Bose prior to these and there is absolutely no comparison to sound quality. Bose is all highs and no lows. The guys at Crutchfield set the system up and did a fantastic job.
Cons: none at this time
The sound is top notch and the clarity is beautiful. Definitely the best speakers I've ever owned. I can't imagine how much better the tl350 might sound. Would've bought them but couldn't afford the extra money. But the tl250 are above what I was already expecting. The Crutchfield service was excellent and very helpful pairing up a good receiver to go with my tl250 and polk 550w pro sub. The recommended the denon 400 and it's a perfect match. Got the deal polk had going at the time with the discount on the sub so I ended up paying much less for it. Crutchfield also helped my with the set up to get the perfect sound for my room. Thanks Crutchfield you guys rock!!
Pros: The clarity of these small speakers are top notch and the deal of $300 off a polk sub, can't beat it.
Cons: None. Will see how long they last but my guess would be a long time will the weight of the small speakers speak quality
Great sound . Better than my Bose.
Pros: Sound size price
Cons: Should come with bracket screws
I was very pleased after hooking these up to replace my former surrounds. Aesthetically, they are extremely pleasing with their smaller size and their weight feels nice giving me more confidence that there is a quality woofer tucked into the small frame. Regarding the sound of the surround units, I'm not hugely blown away but that wasn't really the goal. I have them paired with some nice and large Polk towers and center but they certainly have made music listening more enjoyable and video games / movies are as enjoyable as ever. I'm using the center channel in my office now and I'd say it's pretty adequate for small spaces but would never be loud enough for a bigger living room. Smaller spaces or families looking for a plug and play option paired with a subwoofer would be very happy with this package but buyers looking for a lot of bang right out of the box will be disappointed by the lack of deep response from these units. Subwoofer a must!!!
My biggest gripe and reason for knocking a star off is the product design that made it darn near impossible to install Banana plugs into these speakers in combination with a traditional 1/4 inch threaded wall mount. The thread is located an inch or so about the plugs and when the Banana plug is installed it leaves very little wiggle room for angling speakers to desired position but this was a one time frustration.
Pros: Great sound for size, Beautiful design, Great deal when combined with Subwoofer offer.
Cons: Mounting challenge when using 1/4 threaded mount.
Speakers are being used with a surround sound system including a 65" LG65ub9800 Smart TV and Onkyo Receiver TX-NR626. The speakers are beautifully finished with a shiny black encasement. The system is set up in my basement which is 20' by 15' and these speakers easily fill the space with clear, crisp and detailed sound. The Polk Sub Woofer included free, Polk PSW111 provides a good solid foundation for the speakers when watching DVD's and streamed movies from VUDU. Would recommend these speakers for anyone looking for a conservatively priced setup.
Pros: Appearance, Sound including the omni directional characteristics and room filling size from smaller style speakers.
Cons: Nothing notable at this point.
Excellent speakers. Beautiful appearance, crystal clear, and they fill the room with sound.
Pros: Great full sound
Cons: Wall or ceiling mounts not included, but easy to acquire. Buy good ones, because these babies have some weight to them.
What can I say except that this setup was a beautiful addition to the entire experience
Pros: Sleek design great super black finish-awesome sound
Cons: more attachment points for wall installing
I was a little hesitant on purchasing speakers I was not familiar with but after easy installation and proper positioning of these speakers, I was very impressed not only with the crisp and clean sound of them but the appearance as well. Excellent purchase.
Pros: Great sound, easy installation, sleek design and reasonable price. Quality speakers.
No way to beat these speakers at this price
Pros: set up -- very simple, sound outstanding
Great speakers I love them! The sound is just amazing. When I initially got these I realized that my subwoofer was no longer working. I had loudspeakers paired before. So for the first two weeks I had no sub. The sound was still great but definitely missing bass. Once I added a sub to compliment I was blown off of my feet.
Pros: Size Clear Sound Easily mountable Aesthetically pleasing
Very pleased. The reviews were right on. We have a larger room and the speakers really fill it up with sound
Pros: excellent sound
Speakers sound GREAT. Love the center channel speaker. Over all the system has a lot of quality sound In a small package.
Pros: Great over all sound for TV and Music
Cons: There are three feet on the bottom of the speaker vs. four. Speakers do not move but if bumped into could tip over.
Being a past user of polk audio I kinda knew what I was getting. That being nice full studio sounding speakers. The sub pairs seamlessly and sound awesome together. Powered by my onkyo nr626 the polks have no problem working in tandem to what ever mode I may switch to. Can't wait for next phase of speakers warming to my living space.
Pros: Good construction. Nice fit &finish to satellites. Warm enveloping sound.
Cons: Nothing worth nit picking on.
Good sound for the price of these speakers.
Easy installment and great sound
I bought these speakers for my new media room. The sound from these speakers is amazing! I'm pretty sure I will be spending much more time in my media room watching movies, and less time at the actual theater.
Pros: Reasonable price, easy installation
Cons: None that I've found
I wasn't sure about the overall sound when first considering the Polk TL250's. I have a fairly large room. Consulted online with Crutchfield and were highly recommended. They are hooked up to a Denon 1913 and they sound EXCELLENT!!! Still will do some tweeking on the Denon, however these speakers are excellent. Plenty of volume, plenty of depth and richness. I highly recommend for someone looking for small speakers with great sound.
Pros: Small nice design.
Cons: If using banana clips the included wall mount hole is not ideal.
I've been searching for home theater for much of my life. Last year I bit the bullet and purchased a very nice sub, albeit small, but man it pushes. When I was shopping for my 5.0 speakers I thought I should match them to the sub, stick with all one brand. I read reviews and talked to a lot of people about what was the best to do with the amount of money I had. I talked to a couple product advisers on Crutchfield and they both recommended I go with polk audio blackstone. I know they have a break-in period, but I hooked them up last night and can already hear a big difference. I am coming from a mixed system of boombox speakers, bose center channel, and sony satellites in the rear. Once I hooked the system up last night, I made sure all the speakers were working, then immediately put on some classical music, followed by the soundtrack to Dark Knight. When I play music through AppleTV I hear it in dolby prologic, so i am able to check all of the channels. I am a professional musician and know when music sounds just ok and when it immerses you in the experience. Just last night, the sound involved me in and I decided to watch a movie. My wife had already gone to bed, and I am an early riser, but I had to hear how these sounded in Dolby Digital. I put in Transformers on blu-ray and couldn't stop the movie. Needless to say, I am writing this after not getting enough sleep and I value sleep very much in my current job. I cannot say enough about these speakers. Just buy them!!!
Pros: Size, weight, reproduction of sound, look, finish, build quality
Cons: None yet, will know more after break-in period
Absolutely love my Polk speakers. I read the other reviews on here before purchasing my Polks and made my decision from there. I had no difficulty installing the mounting brackets, Pinpoints AM - 30, and hooking up the wires.
Pros: Great sound Attractive
Cons: None so far
I buy this unit match with a yamaha htr-7065, the sound is excelent in liw and high volume, The sound is clean w/ o any interference or distortion. I really recoment this speakers and are speakers for a long time.
Very good speakers for the price
Never had a system like this one! Great Sound! Easy to install. You won't go wrong with the Polk TL250. When I got my system it came with a subwoofer (PSW111) free.
Pros: Good Price, Easy to Install, Great Sound!
Updated home theater system that was 12 years old. Paired the Polk TL250 system with new Yamaha RXV 473 Set up was easy especially using the supplied microphone to calibrate speakers and their location Connected all to Panasonic Blu Ray and 50" Panasonic plasma via HDMI cables Watched Avatar for the first time and the movie came alive The sound was crisp and clear and even the most subtle movements and sounds were audible. Upgraded to Polk PSW 125 subwoofer I am not a person that necessarily wants to rattle the walls but the system will do this as well as provide the necessary bass to make your viewing and listening extraordinary Listened to music via Airplay and On Demand Excellent Filled our 20 x 24 room with sound easily The speakers look great and were easily mounted on existing speaker stands and wall mounts Great price as well considering you get a free subwoofer and was able to upgrade for only $50.00 Great system!
Pros: Easy set up Great sound for movies and music Good quality for the price Warranty is good Shows they are willing to back up their products
Really surprised at how loud these small speakers actually are. I have played them everyday since purchasing and literally sound better and better each day. I decided to go with the PSW-111 for the sub and was a little skeptical at first (8" woofer) but it too sounds better as it breaks in. I was debating over these or the Energy Take system and really am happy with the choice.
Pros: Size, loudness, easy of set up, and free subwoofer.
Cons: Sub is not heart pounding but for an 8" sub reproduces bass musically very well. Don't get me wrong though I can still feel the bass upstairs from the basement living room.
I bought my first pair of Polk Speakers (SDA-SRS2) in 1986 (which I still have) and haven't looked back. When I decided to add a lower cost home theatre in my basement I decided to look for a all-in-one package. With the free subwoofer the TL250 package is a steal. But the real surprise came when I hooked them up. I'm using an Integra 50. receiver and a Samsung Blu-Ray. Given the price and size of the speakers I was expecting an incomplete sound stage and a relatively flat response. What I heard was anything but. I was amazed by the dynamic range and the completeness of the sound stage. Movies with 5.1 tracks are fantastic.
Pros: Surprisingly complete and dynamic sound for the price and free subwoofer.
Sound good for their size and weight, but not exceptional, they could use more mid range bass. Paired with the 8" subwoofer and a denon DD/DTS capable receiver, they make a serviceable secondary home theater. I wonder how much better the 350s sound?
I was considering purchasing the Bose Acoustimass system....however, my room layout and location for the subwoofer made this impossible. After discussing with the Crutchfield specialist....the Polk TL 250 was the best choice. I was replacing a much larger set of Boston Acoustic towers and was concerned that these smaller speakers would not deliver. The specialist said they would not disappoint....and he was right!
Pros: - Easy to install - Arrived on time as promised - Sound great! - Clean design
Cons: - None
Amazing sound from such small speakers. Clarity is great, sound is big, and the small speakers give my set-up a sleek finished look. Paired these with a Yamaha RX-V373 and the free Polk Sub that Crutchfield offered. Couldn't be happier!
Pros: Sound quality and price
Polk Audio Blackstone TL250 is the perfect home theater solution for a small room. The speakers look great and sound great too. Paired with a Denon AVR-1613 home theater receiver and a Polk PSW111-BK 8" 150-watt subwoofer I am really happy with the sound quality from these speakers. The Denon receiver is also great.
Pros: Small footprint, great looking, free subwoofer with purchase
Purchased this speaker package as the foundation for my new home theater setup in my 22 x15 living room. I needed a small speaker package that could easily be hidden to satisfy "The Old Hag's" dicerning eye. Power comes from an Onkyo TX-NR 609 and I also added a set of Mirage MX's to take advantage of the receiver's 7.1 capabilities. These Polk's sound great when watching movies and TV content but lack the mid range punch when it comes to listening to music. Don't get me wrong you can get some pleasure using these for music but satellites can never truely replace a nice tower/bookshelf setup for the fronts. These Polk's are also somewhat aesthetically pleasing but i still prefer the size and form factor of my added Mirage's better. Overall I am satisfied with these speakers and for the price it becomes a no brainer decision. Remember you don't need to spend alot of money on small speakers because you can only get so much quality sound out of them. Spend your money on Towers if you are a true Audiophile.
Pros: Size,price,"Free Sub with Purchase"
Cons: Size (Mirage = perfect size),limited music performance,"Free Sub" PSW 111 nice but not the best.
These speakers produce clear consistent sound. They fill my 17*20 living area very nicely. Would definitely recommend.
Pros: Sound Quality Construction
Very crisp sound. Impressive for size and specifically at this price point.
Bought this set and very pleased with the sound small speaker big sound very crisp and clear all I can say awesome job
Awesome audiophile experience. Frequency response is smooth and un-colored when
mated to subwoofer. Have been a polk audio fan for years. Follows tradition
of my polk audio classic 10B monitors sound from the 1980's.
These are great surround speakers. Sound clarity is excellent on the high end. The
added Polk PSW 111 subwoofer (purchased separetely) fills in the low end,
resulting in a great dynamic audio range.
I can't compare the TL250 to the TL350, but for the price the TL250 can't be beat.
After extensive research I chose Polk's TL-250 Blackstone system matched with
Polk's PSW-111 sub-woofer. So far I have been nothing short of impressed.
Absolutely no regrets on purchasing this system. The sound reproduction and
fidelity is phenomenal and the value is exceptional. Without question, I would have
had to go up a few price points to find a better speaker system.
Upgraded form 10 year old Bose Acoustimass II setup with Sony Receiver
driving these. Got these speakers and the PSW125 sub with a new Denon
4310CI. This setup drives these speakers great. They feel solid, have nice
crisp sound, get better every day as they are worked in.
Crutchfield was a great help picking these out and answering my questions
during setup. I am very happy with the purchase and the overall combo and
The sound is great and the vendor is priceless. They recommended this product to fit my specific needs and then have backed it up with customer service that you don't seem to find anymore. Answered my question before I bought it, while I bought it, and after I bought it. Polk speakers rock as does Crutchfield -tough combo to beat.
These speakers have crisp, clear sound that is awesome.
I am very pleased and would highly recommend them.
They look good too!
I must say that I am pretty impressed with these small wonder cubes. I had
pretty good HT with towers but moving into a new house the family room was
pre-wired for small system while the towers were to go into the dedicated HT.
I was confused between getting these new Polks or the Energy Classic. I had
listened to Energy as I recommended those to a friend last year. From price
perspective Polk and free sub were comparable to Energy setup. With no previous
reviews available I went with pure gut feel with the specs, looks and Polk name.
I must say that I have not been disappointed.
The speakers are built solid, nice smooth look and have 5 way binding posts. I
liked the new port design and innovation with the tweeter. On specs I was liking
the higher decibel rating than the Energy. I have felt Energy's center channel
weakness at times and these 250's center channel had two speakers than one. I
pulled the plug and am happy that I did so.
The speakers are pretty well rounded in overall sound stage. The Energy were
little more crisp but Polk sound better overall. The midrange is remarkably
better for small speakers. I got the bigger sub PSW125 by paying the difference
as I wanted a 12"sub. The sub performs outstanding for my high ceiling 15x18
family room. I let the speakers play for 2-3 days while away during the day for
work. The sound is amazing and I am very happy. Polk once again came out with a
wonderful set of speakers.
I love these speakers. I was going to buy Bose but they were expensive for 5.1 system. I looked at Polk Audio and I was not sure as I had not heard about them and they were not available near my place. I trusted the reviews from Crutchfield and other websites. Anyway, I installed them and they are rocking. I am using Onkyo TX NR780 receiver and PSW111 Sub woofer. We have watched several movies, listened to hard rock music/pop/Indian classical music and each instument is heard clearly. I would recommend to buy from Crutchfield due to free tech support and Brand New merchandise!!!
The TL250 system, matched with a new Polk PSW111 Subwoofer, fills my new family
room with amazing sound! The system looks great with my new flat panel TV, and the
front and rear speakers mounted neatly in the corners of the 350 SqFt room. A great
product at a great price, and Crutchfield was very helpful on setup recommendations.
I am super impressed with these speakers.
Using this with a new Pioneer VSX-1120, without a subwoofer (bought a PSW111 as a bundle deal, but its got mixed up on delivery and will arrive in a few days). I have been listening almost 7-8 hours a day for the last 12-15 days. And I must say, I am super impressed. If I have to describe the performance in 1 word, its - CRISP! Never, ever in any store demo have I heard sound of such clarity and voice quality. The dialogue / vocals are as clear as the subtle crack of a branch behind you! Every tone/sound coming out of these has a purpose! At least 3-4 times I have looked out of the window to check whether it's actually raining or was it just the sound.
The system takes about 50-70 hours of hearing to break up...so please be patient.
Word of caution on Speaker mounts - the keyhole on these are pretty high up. I had bought myself a stand set which didn't fit these babies at all. Had to use some strings etc to hold the surrounds in place ?
Overall, I am super glad I bought these speakers & I am sure my satisfaction level will go up even more once I have the Subwoofer. Polk has a winner this time in the TL series.
Word about Crutchfield: Best electronics vendor by far. Loved talking to the support staff, never seen folks so responsible and responsive.
Incredible crystal clear sound for music and movies, I hear detail that I have not heard
before from my old speakers. Unbelievable room filling sound they will take everything
my Onkyo- TX-SR607 can put out without distortion, and the PSW111 subwoofer can
shake the room, incredible deep bass. I am completely satisfied 5 out of 5 stars for me.
I would recommend this system to anyone.

Polk Audio Black Stone TL250 Five Speaker System: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL250 is a 5-speaker surround-sound system. The Polk Audio Black Stone TL250 five-pack includes four matching Black Stone TL2 satellite speakers and a Black Stone TL2 horizontal center-channel speaker. The Polk Audio Black Stone TL series speakers (TL2) feature new innovations specifically designed to enhance compact speaker performance. The Black Stone TL2 series speakers features a two-way loudspeaker design and a bass-reflex enclosure. The TL2 series speakers are equipped with 5-way binding posts and offer various mounting options.
Note: The Black Stone TL250 has an overall system frequency response of 120 to 20,000 Hz and will require a powered subwoofer (107PSW111, sold separately) for full-range sound. You can also add additional TL2 series speakers (107TL2B or 107TL2W) for 6.1 and 7.1 channel home theater configurations.
Dynamic Balance Driver Technology: Polk Audio's patented Dynamic Balance process allows Polk to design their drivers specifically for flatter frequency response, revealing the sharpest details and a more lifelike transparency, with absolutely no strain even at high volume. It's a bold, rich, warm, and lifelike sound.
Time Lens Technology: The sophisticated laser alignment of the "acoustic center" of the Blackstone TL2 tweeters with their accompanying drivers results in far superior imaging. The acoustic centers of the tweeter and mid-range woofer are aligned, creating a crisp accurate soundstage. The acoustic centers of the tweeter and mid-bass driver are located in the same plane for superior imaging, while the acoustic lens incorporated in the grille smoothes the tweeter's frequency response.
3/4" Silk Dome Tweeter: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 series speakers utilize a 3/4" silk dome tweeter for crisp, clear imaging, and smooth response that's never tiring.
3-1/4" Composite Injection Molded Woofer: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 series speakers employ 3-1/4" composite injected molded cone woofers with Dynamic Balance driver technology (Polk's patented transducer design process) that produces a flat frequency response, with sharp detail, transparency, and the ability to play loud without strain. Each satellite speaker features one 3-1/4" woofer. The center-channel speaker features two 3-1/4" woofers.
Frequency Response: The system's overall frequency response is 90-24,000Hz, and the -3dB frequency response is 120-20,000Hz.
Enclosure Type: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 series speakers feature a non-resonant composite enclosure with time-aligned geometry, and PowerPort technology.
Curved Enclosure Design: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 speakers employ non-parallel surfaces that not only lead to a stronger, more rigid and acoustically inert enclosure, but they also result in less audible coloration from internal surface resonances.
Steel Reinforced: Extra-rigid steel plates reinforce the curved enclosures of the TL2 series speakers, resulting in acoustically inert enclosures free from internal resonances and any audible coloration, for more lifelike audio detail.
Integrated Acoustic Lens: An innovative acoustic lens incorporated into the grille produces a high frequency response so smooth that it delivers a balanced, realistic performance. An acoustic lens is molded into the back of the speaker grille and helps create imaging frequency balance previously impossible in small high-performance satellite speakers.
PowerPort: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 series speakers utilize Polk Audio's patented bass venting technology, for added midbass response and increased efficiency. PowerPort technology decreases port turbulence and virtually eliminates "port noise," for a massive 3dB boost in bass response.
High-Gloss Finish: The Polk Audio TL2 series speakers feature a durable, deep automotive-strength high-gloss black finish that matches today's most stylish flat-panel TVs.
5-Way Binding Posts: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 series speakers are equipped with one pair of 5-way binding posts to ensure a secure connection to many types of speaker cables and connectors. The binding post terminals will accept banana plugs (single or dual), pin-connectors, spade-connectors, and bare wire (18-12 AGW).
Rubber Feet: The Polk Audio TL2 speakers feature integrated rubber feet so you can sit the speakers on a stand or shelf securely.
Wall Mountable: The Black Stone TL2 satellite speakers and center-channel speaker are wall mountable.

I used 14 gauge because my runs were longer that 30 ft. But also check your stands. If you are running the wire through a pole in the stand make sure it can accept the size of wire you plan to use. [ PATRICK Dec 13, 2015 ]
In my history of running speaker wire the rule of thumb has always been 12 gauge, especially if you are putting any power behind it. Now the bigger question is are you running wire behind or through walls or just over the floor? They make speaker wire for different kinds of installs. Shopping for wire can be expensive so do a little bit of homework on that matter, do a search on speaker wire and find a place where you can get a couple of hundred feet of wire by the roll for the price that most stores would sell a few feet of wire for. You might be surprised with the savings. [ Doug Dec 12, 2015 ]
