Don't settle for less-than-thrilling movie sound. Polk's Blackstone TL2 center channel speaker uses some pretty advanced technology to take your home theater experience to the next level in sonic realism. You'll be wowed by clear, nuanced movie dialogue and dramatic special effects. And if you've got a new flat-panel TV, this speaker's high-gloss finish will make a stylish match.
Advanced driver technology for remarkably lifelike sound
Polk's "Time Lens" technology aligns the drivers in such a way that high- and low-frequency sounds all reach your ears at the same time. It improves the speaker's staging and imaging, so that you'll start to forget you're watching a movie and really feel like you're there. An "acoustic lens" in the speaker grille prevents unwanted diffraction, while simultaneously dispersing sound waves in a way that makes your music and movie soundtracks sound larger and more open. The TL2 also features Polk's acclaimed PowerPort® technology to help reinforce lower bass output. Plus, its sturdy cabinet is reinforced with a steel plate to help fight resonances that can muddy the sound.
Easy speaker placement
The TL2 has keyhole slots in the back for easy mounting to your wall straight from the box. You can also use the discrete threaded inserts to fit it to an optional speaker bracket. Create your own home theater system by adding anywhere from five to seven TL2 satellite speakers to this center channel.

This center gives off good sound and works great with my 5.1.
Pros: Good sound
I'm on a budget and space was an issue. This little speaker fits perfectly and sounds great! I have a new Yamaha and old series two 901's. the room is small and this speaker blends perfectly. I intend to add two more Blackstones and a subwoofer in the near future to create 5.1 for movies. This speaker is also awesome for music, it blends with the 901s and gives more depth and enhanced sound stage, I like it!
Pros: Great sound, small package. easy to mount right out of the box.
Cons: none so far
Small and compact, but clean and clear sound. This unit is ideal if size is a concern.
Pros: Small, easy to fit in small spaces. Clear sound.
Cons: None so far.
Nice sleek appearance, compact size with good sound production.
Pros: Compact Stylish Good sound
Solid center channel speaker. Easy to mount.
Love this speaker !
Glad I purchased this. I was looking for a center channel. The size is great for a center channel when space is limited. This is a more than adequate center speaker for 90% of the people out there who are looking for one. Crutchfield delivered the speaker very quickly (1-day) with no additinal charge. Amazing!
Pros: small with big sound for a limited space. Fits in front of a flat screen TV perfectly without blocking out any of the screen.
Cons: May not be suitable for large spaces
Good sound quality, small in size ... just what we were looking for.
Clear, crisp center channel sound. Blends well with other Polk products of similar construction.
Pros: clear sound
This speaker sounds good for the price and size.
Pros: Compact size and good sound
I bought this center speaker, two in-ceiling speakers and two bookshelf Polk speakers. The whole set works great with my Denon receiver.
Pros: Looks and works great. Solid product
Cons: Nothing so far
A really good sounding center speaker. For size and price.
Pros: Sound for size.
I replaced an older front speaker with the TL2 and I am so thankful that I did. The sounds that comes from this little unit is unbelievable.
Pros: Great sound!
I had to purchase a new center channel since I upgraded my front speakers; dialogue was being drowned out even with center channel at full volume. The TL2 replaces a home theater in a box sat/sub combo center channel and what a difference. I ran YPAO to see how it would set it up, +4 was chosen and I've not had to raise volume manually at all. I chose the TL2 due to space limitation and the speaker fit perfectly in the space provided. I wanted to stay with the Polk RTi series center channel (RTi A3 front speakers) but that was not an option. I can't tell if the speaker is or is not voice matched to the Rti L/R speakers because of the clarity of dialogue it blends in well. I don't hear pristine highs coming from this speaker and I don't know if I should so I can't offer an opinion. I am satisfied with my purchase. Keep in mind the distance from the center channel to my couch is 8 feet.
Pros: good looks, ample size for a small to midsize room, sounds good with clarity of dialogue.
Good speaker but not very powerful. It just does not work for football. For a smaller system it will work well but if you need lots of sound and power it is not the one. What can I expect with 3.25 inch drivers. I sent it back and bought the PSB Alpha C1... GREAT speaker with 5.25 inch drives it puts out the sound.. Football is like you are there.
Pros: Good for a small system.
Cons: So small.
Good looking with respectable sound quality. But not on par with the glowing reviews I see. Although better than average, I would not give it a 5 star review. Even though its more expensive than the Polk TSi CS10, the CS10 has better sound., But I could not fit my CS10 into our new Console, so I went with the TL2.
Pros: Price and Look
Incredible sound from small speakers the Lamborghini in the need for speed movie will convince you
Pros: Small size allows for easy placement in front of the tv without blocking the screen they sound incredible I would not trade them for bigger more expensive speakers
Cons: None whatsoever
does the job, really clear sound. Thanks Crutchfield
Great center speaker at a good price. Replaced an older center speaker and now we can actually enjoy our movies. Along with the new Polk sub-woofer sounds a whole lot better.
Pros: Price and easy to hook up
Cons: None than I have found.
Excellente speaker for the price. I bougth two of these, one for my family room and one for the media room.. Excellent sound.
Pros: excellent sound
Cons: none yet
There are fewer "what did s/he say?" questions in the TV room since we got the TL2. I prefer this CC speaker over the one that came with the Energy Take 5 package. Very happy.
Pros: Clarity of voice.
Replace a 10 yr old JBL center receiver and was not sure if this small unit would be sufficient. The sound is great and it just backs up the quality merchandise from Crutchfield. Been a customer for over 15 years and don't plan on changing.
Pros: Great Sound
Cons: Non found so far
I replaced energy micro center with this speaker and now I can her the voices better and doesn't over power the rest of micro sperkers and blend in great love it so far
Pros: Small but powerful
Cons: None so far
I have a Boston Acoustics surround sound setup in my family room but was not content with it's ability to provide strong sound via it's smaller cube speaker I was using as a center channel. The TL2 has been a great addition to the system and has improved the overall sound quality of my system. Very happy with the project quality, sound and price.
Pros: Large enough to create a much deeper sounding center channel, but still small enough to fit on my fireplace mantel. Price was also very reasonable for the difference it has made. Very sleek looking with a polished black finish.
Cons: None that have been confirmed.
What a difference having a center channel speaker. Now I can hear the dialogue clearly!
Pros: Small footprint
Great service from Crutchfield
Pros: Great sound,easy to install
This is a good compact speaker with a decent sound. The speaker won't be as powerful as some out there but compliments any decent set of bookshelf speakers well
Center channel speaker is the most important one for movie viewing-most of the dialogue comes from it. I decided to upgrade my center channel with the TL2-what a difference! Dialogue is much clearer; it's well worth the cost for the upgrade.
Pros: Not tall-fits in front of TV without blocking view of bottom of screen. Easy to install.
Cons: None I can think of.
At first I was skeptical but after hooking this up I was impressed. I replaced two Bose bookshelf speakers tucked in behind the TV which blocked some of the sound. I placed the TL2 in front , it sounds great, crisp clean highs , mids and fair bass. The only thing I miss is the low tones from the 6 1/2 " woofers in the Bose speakers.
Pros: Great sound out of such a small speaker. Clear crisp highs mids and fair bass. Overall a great center channel speaker and not too expensive.
Cons: Not real great lows , but I didn't expect too much bass from this speaker.
I wanted a center speaker with a small footprint to fit on my smallish TV stand. In front of the (46" flat panel) TV, without blocking the TV screen. I feared I might not get good sound quality from such a small unit but I found that it performs great and has vastly improved my enjoyment of the TV. I use a Pioneer VSX-70 A/V receiver.
Pros: Small footprint, excellent sound
I am extremely happy with the performance of the TL2. I was replacing a double cube Bose speaker and had planned to incorporate the Bose VCS 10 as the replacement, but after futile tries in EBay gave up and went with Polk. This speaker is definitely a better substitute than the cube speaker previously used. This speaker performs well even at low volume settings.
Pros: Small size, excellent package design, and relatively inexpensive.
Good speaker clear sound and has a little bass
Pros: sound and size
Super sound at a very reasonable price. Compared to my ceiling mount center channel speaker, this is much better.
Pros: Small size and SUPER price!
Wonderful product which has already paid multiple dividends regarding hours of enjoyment for our family/friends following ALL the we compliments received after watching Saints pre-season @ our home...!!! I'm afraid of just how many folks may tailgate @ our home for games...!!! Value & return on investment is EXCELLENT...!!! We also are appreciative of all the assistance @ Crutchfield.com...!!!
Pros: Simplicity of installation & how well it blends in with its' surroundings on the fireplace mantle in our family room...!!!
Great sounding bookshelf speakers. Work great with a sub as front speakers too.
Great sound from such a small unit.
Flat response. Very high pitch. There may be a issue with it.
Pros: Small. Perfect for wall set up.
Cons: Sound quality. Not rich. High pitch.
I can hear the dialogue so much more clearly while watching movies now! Fits great in front of my TV on the stand without blocking the screen and matches my other Polk speakers
Good sound , fit good in front of my widescreen tv. The color go's good with the rest of my system.
Pros: Good highs, nice mid range speakers.
Great Speaker, great styling! Great Performance
Pros: Small compact, with big sound
Cons: Not a one!!!
Great speaker at a great price.
Pros: Easy to install
Sharp, crisp sound with just enough bass from this speaker. Works well in my mid-size room. Great speaker for the money.
Pros: Compact, Sharp, crisp sound. Just enough bass. Price
These little wonders actually have some bass and are good enough for CD music in small to medium sized rooms. A free compact sub with a TL2 satellite system seems to be a very good deal.
Pros: I tried them with the RTi A3 and PSW111 compact sub and they seemed to match pretty well.
Cons: A larger center speaker, like the A4 or A6, would be better In a large room for movies and sports. The TL2's are great for multi-channel stereo and surround.
Small, sharp looking, and enough sound for my basement living room.
Pros: Looks, price
Cons: Highs of sound could be crisper
good sound, just the right size for my wall unit, ,sounds good with my ceiling surrond sound, happy so far.
Great sound and design - the perfect fit for placing under flat panel TVs on stands.
Loved it until i bought a pair of tsi 400. It just didnt sound as good. But it is a very fine speaker if you match it up correctly.
I like most of the other customers of these speakers, had very little room for the larger (And more expensive!) center channel speakers. It works great, and adds a touch of class at an affordable price.
Sound comes out crisp and clear. Need to adjust your AVP to make sure the sound coming out is higher that the two front speakers.
Great sound from a little speaker. Looks real nice mounted on the wall, underneath my low profile TV. In a sound system with large front L & R Speakers this center channel is a great compliment. I would question its performance with smaller front speakers, but I am quite happy with my purchase and how it works for me.
I've had the TL2 center channel for about a month. It's a good center channel speaker. The glossy black case matches my TV and is about the same width as most components so it looks nice in my entertainment center. The sound is good and goes well with my Yamaha in ceiling speakers. I wasn't able to compare it to the TL1 which is it's cheaper cousin and about $40 less. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the speaker.
I wanted a larger center speaker but I had to adapt to limited space for the speaker. I was surprised by the sound quality. The fidelity of voices from the center speaker is excellent.

Dynamic Balance Driver Technology: Polk Audio's patented Dynamic Balance process allows Polk to design their drivers specifically for flatter frequency response, revealing the sharpest details and a more lifelike transparency, with absolutely no strain even at high volume. It's a bold, rich, warm, and lifelike sound.
Time Lens Technology: The sophisticated laser alignment of the "acoustic center" of the Blackstone TL tweeters with their accompanying drivers results in far superior imaging. The acoustic centers of the tweeter and mid-range woofer are aligned, creating a crisp accurate soundstage. The acoustic centers of the tweeter and mid-bass driver are located in the same plane for superior imaging, while the acoustic lens incorporated in the grille smoothes the tweeter's frequency response.
3/4" Silk Dome Tweeter: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 center-channel speaker utilize a 3/4" silk dome tweeter for crisp, clear imaging, and smooth response that's never tiring.
3-1/4" Composite Injection Molded Woofer: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 center-channel speaker employs two 3-1/4" composite injected molded cone woofers with Dynamic Balance driver technology (Polk's patented transducer design process) that produces a flat frequency response, with sharp detail, transparency, and the ability to play loud without strain.
Frequency Response: The speaker's overall frequency response is 90-24,000Hz, and the -3dB frequency response is 125-20,000Hz.
Additional Speakers: The TL2 center-channel speaker will require a powered subwoofer (107PSW111, sold separately) for full-range sound.
Enclosure Type: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 center-channel speaker features a non-resonant composite enclosure with time-aligned geometry, and PowerPort technology.
Curved Enclosure Design: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 center-channel speaker employs non-parallel surfaces that not only lead to a stronger, more rigid and acoustically inert enclosure, but they also result in less audible coloration from internal surface resonances.
Steel Reinforced: Extra-rigid steel plates reinforce the curved enclosures of the TL2 center-channel speaker, resulting in an acoustically inert enclosure free from internal resonances and any audible coloration, for more lifelike audio detail.
Integrated Acoustic Lens: An innovative acoustic lens incorporated into the grille produces a high frequency response so smooth that it delivers a balanced, realistic performance. An acoustic lens is molded into the back of the speaker grille and helps create imaging frequency balance previously impossible in small high-performance loudspeakers.
PowerPort: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 center-channel speaker utilizes Polk Audio's patented bass venting technology, for added midbass response and increased efficiency. PowerPort technology decreases port turbulence and virtually eliminates "port noise," for a massive 3dB boost in bass response.
High-Gloss Finish: The Polk Audio TL2 center-channel loudspeaker features a durable, deep automotive-strength high-gloss finish that matches today's most stylish flat-panel TVs. The TL2 center-channel is available in a high-gloss black finish.
5-Way Binding Posts: The Polk Audio Black Stone TL2 center-channel is equipped with one pair of 5-way binding posts to ensure a secure connection to many types of speaker cables and connectors. The binding post terminals will accept banana plugs (single or dual), pin-connectors, spade-connectors, and bare wire (18-12 AGW).
Rubber Feet: The Polk Audio TL2 center-channel features four integrated rubber feet so you can sit the speaker on a stand or shelf securely.
Wall Mountable: The TL2 center-channel speaker features dual single keyhole slots on the back of the cabinet for wall-mounting the speaker without any additional wall-mount bracket (mounting screws not supplied). There is also a 1/4"-20 threaded insert on the back of the loudspeaker for mounting the speaker to the wall using an optional articulating bracket (sold separately).

Liked the bookshelves so much it just made sense to upgrade to this center speaker [ ORLANDO D May 27, 2016 ]
Good value, fit, sounds fine and matched to my L/R Polks [ Derek May 14, 2016 ]
I currently have a Polk subwoofer my center channel speaker was an off brand that came with my home. I need more clarity in my home theater so naturally I went with a quality brand Polk [ Chris Apr 04, 2016 ]
At Crutchfield advisor's recommendation. [ Richard Mar 22, 2016 ]
I chose this center channel to complete my Polk 5.1 surround system, which I have recently upgraded. The house we bought came with two decent Polk front L/R speakers mounted to the wall by the TV, etc., and I purchased the OW3's for the rear surround (highly recommend them!). I completed the setup with a high-end Denon receiver, and a decent Polk 10 powered sub. It's going to be awesome once I get a decent center channel to round it out. The one I was using is from a Sony "box kit.' [ James A. Feb 01, 2016 ]
Better sound &price [ ARDEN Jan 02, 2016 ]
Good value for center speaker [ Michael Dec 31, 2015 ]
Recommended by crutchfield expert in chat session regarding center speaker selection. I had in mind the TL3 and he informed me that it would be a bad match for my setup and instead directed me to this product. Thanks! [ Chris Dec 09, 2015 ]
Sorry O don't have more exact specs. But this unit has a keyhole mount and a screw connector (like a camera tripod mount). I don't know the exact size of the screw hole. [ Preston Mar 11, 2016 ]
The speaker is designed to be used with a surround sound audio amp/tuner. The speaker would be wired to the tuner and the TV is also wired to the tuner via HDMI [ GLENN R Jan 04, 2014 ]
I connected the Blackstone TL2 directly to my Onkyo receiver which is connected to the flatscreen TV. Hope this helps [ PHILIP Jan 03, 2014 ]
I connected the speaker to a stereo receiver. The receiver takes the audio output for the tv source (cable, DVD, etc) and produces the sound on the Polk center channel speaker. The speaker is not connected to the tv. [ PAUL Jan 03, 2014 ]
I connected my speaker to the center speaker output on my Sony AV receiver so my experience may not be of much help. [ COLIN Jan 03, 2014 ]
