Add the Polk TSi100 to your system to enjoy open sound with wide staging and precise imaging. These speakers feature Polk's exclusive Dynamic Balance® drivers that undergo laser testing to find and eliminate resonance points, ensuring that everything you listen to sounds clean and accurate. The silk tweeter delivers sparkling highs, while a polycarbonate woofer churns out smooth mids and lows. The braced MDF cabinet fights resonance so the details in your music and movies shine through, even when you crank up the volume.
Just team these speakers with a Polk powered subwoofer for full-range sound. They also work great as surround speakers when used with Polk's larger TSi models. And the TSi100 looks good, too. The woodgrain vinyl finish and elegant piano black top plate complement just about any décor.
Bookshelf speakers may be small in size, but they can deliver surprisingly big sound. Some ultra-compact models even fit on a desktop. Most are right at home in tight spaces like shelves, so they're usually good choices for your home theater's rear channels. For the best performance, try placing bookshelf speakers on solid speaker stands to help the sound really "open up." If you want full bass impact, add a powered subwoofer and enjoy punchy sound that's as deeply satisfying as that of floor-standing speakers.
I wanted a low-end speaker with great sound and these delivered in spades. The sound is amazing for the size and price point. Crutchfield halso had the best price, included free shipping and fast delivery. I'm very happy.
Pros: Great sound; small size; inexpensive
Look fantastic. Clean, compact. Full Rich Tone
Pros: Price. Come read to hang on wall if you like, I did not but it is a nice feature. Cabinet has a hanger and 2 wall bumpers on the back for flat easing hanging.
First, I'm not an audiophile. To my average ears these speakers sound great. Alone they produce rich, clear sound that fills my modest-sized living room.
Pros: Rich, clear sound in a relatively small package.
Cons: None so far.
These speakers are an outstanding value. Great sound, great looks, great price.
Pros: sound, looks, and price
Cons: not available anymore :(
Build quality is really high, and the sound it produces is amazing
Pros: Slik design High build quality Good sound quality
Prompt delivery, free shipping. Great value for these bookshelf speakers (on sale). "Relatively" big and rich sound for a small speaker. Sound good by themselves but great when used with my existing passive sub. Well constructed.
Pros: Well made, rich sound
Cons: None for the price but I do prefer spring clips to binding posts when using bare wire.
The price point concerned me: Could they possibly be this cheap and be any good?! Yes! They sound as good or better than my $600 B&W DM602s. They're smaller than I imagined, but produce an unbelievably rich sound. I have them connected to a 20W 1970s-vintage amp, and I just can't stop listening. (20-30W is plenty of power to drive these.)
Pros: Price point, sound quality, small form factor.
Cons: Bass is better than decent, but a discerning audiophile will probably want a sub.
Well built small speaker. Great for requirements in a small listening area.
Pros: Sound is pleasing. Good looking cabinet. Not disappointed!!!
Cons: None. What I expected!
TSi100 speakers sound crisp and clean with a good low end for a small speaker.
Pros: Quality sound at a low price.
good looking with great sound
These are great for what I needed. I am using them as near field monitors for records and mixing. They are well made and I always like a good silk dome tweeter.
Pros: Small Smooth sounding mids and highs Enough bass for most music Best in price category
Cons: Small Limited bass extension Rear port is boomy when placed near a wall.
These speakers are a great sounding addition to my low cost 5.1 system.
I wasn't sure about replacing my trusty old speakers with a smaller set of bookshelf speakers, and I was really blown away! My son hooked them up while I was at work and when I came home he demonstrated them as part of the home theater. Great product!
Pros: Bookshelf-sized; sturdy; quality materials; easy hook up. Nice sound in all ranges that we use speakers for. Plenty of good sound at all volumes.
Cons: Wish stands were available, but that is specific to my setup. I made my own to get around it.
I have come to like the Polk speakers and am slowly replacing all of my speakers to Polks
Replaced 4 T15 surrounds with 2 pair of these. Matched up with TSI400 fronts and a CSI10 center. Greatly expanded the surround immersion. These speakers have a fuller and more dynamic sound than the T15's. Also appreciate Crutchfield recognizing Alaska as a part of the U.S. And getting the speakers here in 3 days for no charge.
Pros: Great sound with small size.
Paired these up with a Marantz receiver that i have thats in great working condition and a pair of RTR speakers and gave the sound a big boost in clairity and sound great at high volume. Lots of sound out of such small size speakers, Highly recommend these
Pros: attractive looks
I've always wanted a pair of Polks, and when I saw these speakers on sale, I bought them. They sound so much better than my old speakers. I love the way they look without the grills, so I left them off. They are in a real bookshelf and when I power down the system I just shut the doors to the bookcase. Speakers fully protected!
Pros: Great sound.
Cons: Doesn't have really deep bass, but what do you expect from bookshelf speakers?
I love these speakers. These are not even "Top of the line" Polks, but for what I paid, the sound is fantastic. I could not be happier.
I am an audiophile and am extremely sensitive to sound. I am also on a budget. These were supposed to be cheap little kitchen speakers that got me through washing the dishes. Unfortunately they are making my kitchen chores last well into the night. I find myself standing in the middle of the audio sweet spot in the kitchen in a zen state far away mostly with my eyes closed enjoying music like I haven't had in years. I mounted these on the wall in opposing corners of my 10x20 kitchen, as recommended by the Crutchfield speaker placement guide. Even if these speakers have to be replaced every five years, it might be worth it at this price point.
Pros: Wall hangers attached at the factory. Easy to wire. Easy to move around for best placement. Speaker design does not overpower decor.
Cons: Company logo is prevalent on speaker covers.
I'm not any kind of audiophile... I just wanted a compact pair of speakers for the stereo in my office. These fit the bill. The price is right and, at least to me, they sound very good. While I think the black plastic "wood grain" is a little hooky looking, I'd still recommended these speakers to anyone looking for a budget pair with good sound.
Pros: Price & Sound Quality
Cons: Black plastic "wood grain" look seems silly. Who are they trying to fool? LOL
Bought this to match my CS1 and CS10 center channels in different rooms. They match perfectly. Sounds Awesome with my Yamaha RX-Aventage 740 and my Yamaha TSR 7790. Sounds good with my subs.
Pros: Matching sound. Cute and clear. The wife is ok with.
I'm using these for home theater. Very clear dialog and enough dynamic range to handle the exciting stuff. High quality and an excellent value.
Pros: Great detailed sound
Nice little speaker for the price. You can't turn the base up too high or you get some distortion but am pleased for the size of them. They put out nice highs and mids and do sound good at high volumes.
Pros: Great value, good sound, nice build quality
Cons: A little weak on bass but they are small so I can't expect too much.
I was looking around for quality computer speaker setup and couldn't find any that I really like for a reasonable price. I had a extra Sony receiver laying around and decided to put it to use with some good bookshelf speakers. These are highly rated and the brand name made it an easy choice. With the sale price it couldn't be beat. I now have a killer system for my desktop setup and it didn't break the bank.
Pros: Clear, well built, mounting clip, bass,
Cons: Large and heavy if you don't have the room, I did but others might not.
I was looking for a pair of good bookshelf speakers for the "man cave" that would not break the budget and the Polk TSi100 have turned out to be great. I was
Pros: Excellent clarity and voice. Just great for jazz, classical, and old school country.
Cons: Bass response a little thin for rock music, but they are little bookshelf speakers.
Excellent sale, customer service, and quick shipping. Sound is very good for the money. Would recommend to anyone looking to start an inexpensive yet quality stereo system.
Pros: Good sounds good price
Cons: A little small but you get what you pay for.
Reviewed many entry level bookcase speakers and the Polk TSi100 speakers seemed to have good reviews and were within my price range. Sound is excellent from both CD and vinyl music sources. I picked this particular brand of speaker because of the 5 year warranty that Polk offers. Not sure if the customer service is up to par but the 5 year warranty seems to me confidence in the build quality of the product.
Pros: Excellent sound quality for the price, great 5 year warranty. Well built speakers
Cons: The instruction manual is a bit basic.
Great Speakers and very professional person helped me! I highly recommend this store and the wonderful staff!
Pros: Polk Audio
Great speaker. Clear sound and have not been able to turn up loud enough to distort
Pros: Size price
I'm very happy with the sound from these poke audio bookshelf speakers. They have crystal clean highs and deep bass response. I was pleasantly surprised after hooking them up to my stereo. For the price and size, you can't get a better sounding speaker.
These sound excellent with a NAD amp. We have a Polk sub but it is not required for normal listening. These Polk's fill a medium size living room and can play just about any type of music well. Using speaker stands to align the tweeters with our ears brings the music back alive during critical listening. A real bargain as well. Go Crutchfield.
Pros: Great mid range and highs. Good bass for their size.
Cons: Tweeters placed below the woofer. Just flip them over for a real treat.
Sound great, look good. A little larger than I was expecting, but they were just what I needed
Very respectable sound from a small package. Especially in this price range. I paired these with a Sony STR-DH130 and they work great together! Seems like the more you crank them up, the better they sound. I may add a sub down the road but for now I'm definitely happy rocking out in my basement workshop!
Pros: Tight, clean sound. Nice wall mounting brackets.
Just moved and had to leave our built-in system behind. Ordered these and they sound great! Look great on our entertainment center too!
Pros: Sound great Look great
Speakers are great! just needed a set for my bedroom tv.Quick and perfect delivery from crutchfield! Thanks guys!
Great big sound from relatively small speakers. Great addition to my home system
Pros: Compact size,delivers great sound
I'm not an audiophile. I got these Polk TSi 100s on sale to replace the 10+ year-old JVC bookshelf speakers I was using for the stereo system in our den. WOW!! These are much better than the JVC's! My Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CDs sound great! These speakers make me want to sit and just listen; something I rarely do. I rate the bass as very good; amazing for bookshelf speakers. With the JVCs I used to have the treble boost turned up full. With the TSi 100s I have both bass and treble controls centered. Again, I'm not an audiophile, but I recommend these speakers to anyone who just wants good sound. And, I highly recommend Crutchfield. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, the pricing is good, they don't sell any junk, and, they've been doing business the same way for a long time, which says a lot.
Pros: Great sound and they look good too.
I am very happy with these speakers. They fill my house with great sound whether watching tv or listening to music. For the price I paid, they are a great value. Crutchfield service was equally good. I ordered the speakers on a Sunday, they shipped out the next day and delivered on Wednesday which was one day ahead of schedule.
Pros: Sound quality, value for the price
These speakers are sound and look great especially for the price. In particular I recommend them for Jazz, Rock and smaller ensemble Classical. For symphonic music or higher volumes I suggest to add a subwoofer. I liked them so much that I ordered a second pair.
Pros: Excellent for Jazz, Rock and smaller ensemble Classical at low to medium volume.
Cons: None, within the limitations due to the speakers size.
These units are well built and sound awesome.
Pros: Sound, quality construction and a great price
Great speakers for the money.
Pros: Inexpensive and compact
Surprisingly good sound from such an inexpensive speaker. Used in an excercise room, really impressed with the base response.
Pros: inexpensive, easy to mount on the wall, nice full sound
Nice construction with piano black finish...nice and balanced sound for movies, music.
Pros: Great Price
This small speaker has great sound. I am using them as rear speakers in a 7.1 system and they work well. I am considering using them as remote speakers in my bedroom but have not run the speaker wire yet and returning to a 5.1 setup.
Pros: Size, sound quality. A great value.
Cons: They are not quite as good as B&W 686 S2's but they sound pretty close to me. Of course these Polks are only 20% of the B&W 686's price so they are a bargain.
Real good speakers for the money, good bass, great sound, good frequency, cud b used for a medium room to a automotive shop sized area, crisp sound overall great product
Pros: Sound, size, weight
Cons: Honestly didn't find any
I installed these myself in our basement that we just finished, along with Polk Audio RC80i in-celiing speakers, Polk Audio PSW111 subwoofer and a Polk Audio Center Channel 255c-RT connecting to a Yahama receiver. It sounds awesome!! If you are an audiophile, you can probably pick a few things apart, but for everyday use in a basement TV area it came together great.
Pros: Perfect size for bookshelf. Great sound.
I gave these speakers a five star rating because they were such an improvement over the ones replaced. I can not talk about the technical side of their performance only how they sound to me. I had been using the Energy Micro speakers for a couple of years. I had downsized because I wanted to get rid of the larger speakers I had used for several years. However, I found that listening to music on the Micros just was not satisfying and began to look for main speakers that would meet my music listening needs. A few weeks before purchasing the TSi100 pair, I bought a pair of RTI A3 which I absolutely loved. Then I found they overpowered the Energy Micro surrounds....enter the TSi100s. I was amazed at the difference they made in hearing all the "background" action sound when watching movies. Even my wife, who generally is not at all impressed by electronics noticed the difference. So for me they completely did the job. I am 100% satisfied. The Crutchfield team, as usual, was great. They truly make shopping at Crutchfield a pleasure.
Pros: These speakers created a much greater sense of presence than the small micros I had been using.
We needed relatively small bookshelf speakers for our new entertainment center, and the choice was between Boston Acoustics and these. Since we had Polk Audio home theatre speakers in our last house and the fact they cost less than the BAs, we decided on these. While primarily used for the L/R front channels of our home theatre system, they sound incredibly full and rich when switching the amp to stereo only - they can take a lot of volume and have a nice, punchy low end without any noticible distortion. Great price from Crutchfield as well. Very happy with this purchase.
Pros: Excellent sound; compact size; look great in our entertainment center.
Cons: None at this time.
I did not expect to be able to have such great sound in my small apartment. I play mostly classical music. The sound is rich and clear, the next best thing to good seat in the concert hall. I never thought I would say that about speakers! I enjoy my guests' appreciation of them too. Wow! I can't believe it! Where did you get them?
These are fantastic speakers. They have an impressive low range with a lot of precision. Great for home stereo and watching movies.
I used the TSi100 speakers as surround. rear channel sound. They sound ok, a little weak but sound ok. They were on sale for 149.99 no shipping & handling fees. I would say they are a good pair of speakers for the money.
Pros: good sound. small in size.they look good to.
Cons: Don"t sound as good as I thought they would. But still sound good.
I was looking for a set of bookshelf speakers to put on top of some 8' tall cabinets in our newly remodeled kitchen. Since they would hardly be in an optimal position for proper staging and acoustics, I just wanted something at a reasonable price that would have decent sound quality. These Polks were on sale and I have been pleased with their products in the past, so I figured I'd give them a shot. Shipping was lightning fast as I have come to expect from Crutchfield. Just a moment ago I took down the older (8 years?) pair of Bose 201Vs that I had in the kitchen temporarily and installed the Polks in their place. All I can say is WOW. The difference in clarity is simply stunning. They are warm, clear and retain their composure at any volume that I would play my music. Coming from the Bose, I will probably have to drop a little bit of both the high and low end off the equalizer, as the Polks are so much more crisp and clear at the top and move considerably more air at the bottom. If I had to lodge one complaint, it would be that they are just a tad muddy on the low end, but I think I can dial that out with the equalizer.
Pros: Fabulous sound quality at a very affordable price
Cons: Maybe a little muddy on the low end? Might need to play with the equalizer...
give it a minute... and they seem to break-in quickly. After a few EQ adjustments they make Aretha on vinyl come to life! I don't know what anyone else is talking about, these little guys have Bass and aren't shy about it. I had to bring down the lows otherwise I might have some angry neighbors! They are perfect for my apartment! I am totally happy with my purchase! Thanks to all the other reviewers who sold me on this product!
Pros: They look great, and they have a really big sound!
nice speakers. good smooth sound with no distortion from a 80wpc amp.
I'm receiving the yamaha aventage tomorrow and im sure theyll sound even better with the yamaha. shipping timing was great and the people at Crutchfield are very helpful with no hassle trying to sell what i dont need.
Pros: good sound no distortion. great hefty build and the piano black top looks great
Wow! I brought these speakers for the rear positions in my surround sound system I am building. They sound great! I love them.
Pros: Great full sound. Really sharp looking. Fast and free shipping from Crutchfield.
If you need some small speakers to hook up your subwoofer, then these are what you need. The sound is very clear and I really enjoy listening to my stereo again.
Pros: Great sound
Cons: None so far
I paired these speakers with the TEAC A-H01 connected to my Apple desktop and using JRiver to listen to music. The sound is clear with very good base. I know these speakers were not specifically created to be connected to a computer, but if you have the space and a good amp connected to your computer, they will give you great sound at a very reasonable price.
Pros: Big sound. Clear bass. Detail mids and lows. Perfect price
These are great sounding speakers! I origionally had them hooked up to my old Sherwood reciever and the sound was almost flawless. I just purchased a Sony STRDN 1040 reciever and what a difference it made.
These speakers have great sounding bass. when I turn up the volume they keep the sound clean and they honestly sound like larger speakers.
these are great for a 2 channel set up, or as front speakers in a surround set up. I'm using a 250watt powered 12" sub and these honestly sound great with the sub off.
Crutchfield got them to me quickly and I love them.
Pros: great range of sound. punchy lows and crisp highs.
Cons: purchading these polks made me have to upgrade the rest of my system to match the quality they put out.
Wow, what a sound. Compact size with big sound. Very happy with the purchase. A month later the speakers broke in and sound even better.
Pros: Size, sound
Cons: none so far
I have always loved Polk products and the TSi100 lived up to all my expectations and more! I am using them as my rear surrounds but actually set them up at first as the front speakers and was absolutely blown away that such a small speaker would sound so good.
Pros: Sound, Price and Build Quality
I needed a pair of speakers for the rear surround in our living room. These are perfect for 5.1 setup and appear to be high quality speakers.
Pros: Great for surround setup, nice cabinets, great quality for little money
Excellent sound for their size. Outstanding clarity, but never harsh. Using these with Audioengine N22 amplifier and Dayton SUB-800 subwoofer for a desktop computer audio system. Beautiful fit and finish. Very good packaging should prevent damage in all but the most severe shipping conditions.
Pros: Cost, small size, sound quality.
Cons: None so far.
Very impressed with the sound of these speakers. I use them for surrounds but like to turn them up just to hear the quality of sound. They sound great for music. I can't believe I didn't purchase them sooner.
Pros: Quality Price
Cons: None I notice
good sound, great price
Pros: sound and price
Cons: none so far
Great little speakers especially for the scratch & dent price. Very full sound due to the rear ports. Will add these to home theatre when replacements are needed, these were paired with a displaced Yamaha amp in weight room/garage. Awesome sound & great 2-day delivery from Crutchfield!!
Pros: Great price & awesome base for a bookshelf speaker!!
These speakers were easy to hook up, look great on my mantle (purchased the black) sound is great.
Pros: appearance sound
I bought these in 2010 to use with my Onkyo tx nr 808 ..but ended up keeping them but never really used them withmy purchase also bought the polk tsi200s I ended up using the 200s with the onkyo so now that my onkyo is broken I started using the tsi200s with my yamaha as 500 I bought back in april of 2013 I could never get that system to sound good with the tsi 200s ..so last weekend I was chatting with Ann the advisor on what I should do to get more mid bass from them speakers well my amp is 85x2 she said they would sound best with more power ..So I got to thinking wonder what the tsi 100s would sound like with that yamaha I forgot to mention I was running 2 subs also with the tsi200s it sounded like low end bass no mid bass and highs , so what I am trying to say with all that hooked up it sounded just like somthing with them 200s was missing in the mid section anyways back to the tsi100s when I hooked them up to that yamaha I was in shock at the diffrence all I can say is wow ..the tsi 200s need the 150 watts thats why they sounded best with the onkyo cause it was 135x2 and the yamaha is 85x2 and the tsi100s are 100watts I never thought that could make a diffrence but Ann was right ..now with the yamaha running the tsi100s the sound is deep rich with the 2 subs room even sounds fuller anyone looking to get these give them close to the power of 100 watts you will see what I mean or the tsi200s give them close to the 150 watts they require you will be impressed
Pros: Bass from such a small speaker .I guess you dont always need a huge speaker to get great performance deep rich bass if you give it 100 watts or a little over or under
Good sound for their size
These are both beautiful and sound amazing. Can't best the value for this high quality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great pair of speakers on a budget.
Polk audio tsi100 bookshelf speakers
Pros: Satisfying spearker at all time
Cons: Good size for the house
Look and sound great! Can't beat the price! I use these as rear surrounds in a 5.1 set up and plan to purchase another pair when I upgrade to 7.1 surround. Love them!
Added to our Polk 5 speaker system as High Front Left and Right. Additional full sound appreciated when viewing movies.
Pros: Small with great sound. Looks good in bookcase.
The sound range is great. Low and higher frequency sounds are captured with ease.
Pros: Cost, quality of sound, size and workmanship of the speaker
The reason I gave the speakers a full 5 star rating is the price point. At the sale price they can't be beat. If you're in the $250 range listen to all of the available brands as everyone's ear is tuned a bit different. I have these on wall mounts in a gym on a Onkyo TX-8020 amp and it fills the space well with enough headroom to double the volume with no distortion.
Pros: Polk, Price and range of sound.
Overall, nice speakers. Not a big sound, but very clear and undistorted
Pros: Good size. Easy install.
Cons: Would have liked a bigger sound.
I just put together a new home theater system using TSi300's as the front speakers, TSi100's as the rear speakers, a TSi CS10 as the center speaker, a PSW125 sub, and a Sony STR-DN840 receiver. Everything sounds great so far. I have no complaints.
What a wonderful surprise to actually get your money's worth. These speakers have enough range to give you good bass and fine high tones as well. They have a nice full sound and fill the room well. In addition, they look good and fit on my shelves beautifully. I am thoroughly satisfied.
Pros: Good looks, good sound, good value. Who could ask for more?
Cons: Non that I can see or hear.
I bought a set of OWM3 Polk speakers to add to the existing OWM3's I had, well needless to say that my rears didn't quite sound right so I ordered the TSi100 speakers to replace the other 2 OWM3's. The TS-100 's are a little large and have to have a heavy duty mount they weigh 10lbs each but let me say after mounting them and using them they sound so much fuller and in 5.1 movies they carry the surround load very well and sound so great. I highly recommend them !!!
Pros: Great sound for a bookshelf-surround speaker really under rated by some .
Cons: Cons a little bulky to mount, regular mounts are not rated for a 10lb speaker. They weren't free
sounds really good nice and bright with movies
Pros: sounds great price
Cons: none for this price
Paired with RC80i rear ceiling mount speakers and the CS10i center. Anything from rock, to classical plays well and with clarity, with movies I can finally hear dialogue clearly...I do use a boston Accoustics powered subwoofer and that works the bass.
Pros: Great price point not only for the speakers but when you match with the I series rears and center it's affordable..
Absolutely thrilled with the pair of TSi100's!! I have had my eye on these for awhile. I had kept hinting to my wife that I thought we should move our tower speakers up to the loft now that our son is crawling and almost ready to walk. Saw the phenomenal price drop and before I could order them she had them delivered to her office and surprised me!! I Love un-boxing new goodies, & these were no let down. Shipped well, & safely. Even though I was aware of the dimensions, they are larger and heavier than I was expecting. In a good way though. They feel and look solid. The piano black top plate is very nice, and matches my Energy subwoofer and Sony LED TV perfectly. Paired with my Denon 5.1 receiver and older JBL surrounds, and an older center. The TSi100's brought new life to our home entertainment. Warm enveloping sound. Perfect for music, TV, and movies. They put my older towers to shame. Now I can't wait to order Polk's CS10 center channel in the near future to really balance it all out. Thanks again Crutchfield for a great website that I Love to browse, great service, and a great product. Thanks to Polk Audio as well, and of course to my wife. Happy Holidays. -Chaz
Pros: Wonderful speakers all around.
have purchased my share of audio equipment over the years and take my time to shop around, never in a hurry looking for what I want or need to fill that purpose. Very pleased with my purchase of TSi100 bookshelf speakers at a reasonable price, the quality and performance is what I would expect. These were bought for a customer of mine from the old school where stereo equipment is a must and she couldn't be happier, several compliments from family and friends. Made me look good, delivery was perfect and will purchase any other needed items both professionally and personally from you in the future. Thanks
Pros: small with big sound
I haven't had the chance to push these speakers yet, but for watching TVs and testing out some music, the speakers sound great!
Pros: Good price, sound is much better than the sound from the TV.
Cons: Not really a con, but I wish the front cover didn't have the plastic Polk Audio tag. I turned these speakers sideways on a shelf, and it looks a little funny.
I like the new speakers, espically the upgrade that I decided to take advantage of, thank to your knowledgable sales person.
The speakers work great. I would suggest though to grab a pair of sub woofers from crutchfield.
Pros: Sound clarity is great
Cons: Bass can be better
I purchased these for an upgrade from the Polk T15's after buying the Polk CS10 center from Crutchfield and hearing the much improved clarity and crisp highs I was missing. The TSI 100's are the matching bookshelf for the CS10 and I figured the upgrade would be a good improvement. The T15's were good, and a great budget bookshelf speaker for the price, but the TSI100's are a MAJOR improvement and a steal at the current pricing. SOOO much more detail and fullness. Crutchfield AGAIN delivered awesome service and fast delivery.
Pros: Fantastic sound and an amazing deal at current pricing. This is WELL below the price these originally sold at. Great detailed highs and they still have a good full sound with decent bass. Great fit and finish.
These Polk Audio TSi100 speakers are awesome. Makes my system sound so great, they dont sound like a small speaker. Fills the whole room and works perfect with my CS 10 center channel and 10 sub. Polk audio is really good.
Pros: good price, sound louder than they are. Room filling
First, these things are pretty to look at. Now, that's not the important part of speakers, but they look amazing. Thankfully, they also sound amazing. Really great response from a bookshelf unit. I've tried them on a couple different amps that I have they are bright, clear, accurate and quite loud. Also, for their size they still pack quite a bass-punch. For serious movie watching or bass-heavy music listening you might want to pair them with subwoofer, but as part of my small office setup they are perfect. They are recommended as surround speakers - they seem a little large for this use in my opinion.
Pros: great sound. beautiful enclosure.
Cons: none for my desires
Great look, really good sound
Imagine this: Party in the house playing loud music. I have the tsi 300 tower speakers as main together with a psw111 sub, but in this case I put the tsi100 on top of the towers and unplug the towers, just to see the reaction of my friends when they listen to the music. Fist thing they said "wow those polk towers sound great, they are so clear and well balance they can handle some pretty good wattage" (we were playing stereo mode) and then I said I'm only playing the little bookshelf speakers on top, they had to go closer they will not believe me!! With just that said. It is obvious that the toweres perform the best but these a certainly a great l pair for any application even as main speakers. I use it for back surround together with tsi towers, tsi sorround, cs10 and psw111.
Pros: Very well built, big sound, beautiful design! Great performance for its price range! MDF cabinet. Low distortion!
Cons: Some people may be bother by the size (my wife is, I'm not :))
These are rear surround speakers for my setup with tsi400's in the front. The first time my family watched a movie with the new speakers we all looked at each other with big eyes after an explosion in the movie that sounded like it came from behind us! Our old surround speakers never played lower frequency bass like these can. It blew us away! The sound is very clear and no distortion. For small speakers they sure handle lower frequencies well which makes the sound stage much more full. We hear more things in movies and music now than we ever did with our old speakers. They sound so well that when we listen to music we have now changed the setting to "all channel stereo" instead of "stereo" which used to only play the front speakers and the sub.
Pros: Small speakers and HUGE sound!
Good speakers. Not crazy loud but good enough for surrounds.
I made an excellent choice buying these type of speakers . These speakers alone are loud enough to hear through out the house and I've not yet installed the subwoofer .
Pros: Very attractive and easy to move and locate them anywhere you want to put them .
Cons: I can't say nothing wrong about them.
Excellent sound and stylish look. Fits in well with my other components. It was time to upgrade sound system. Last speakers were purchased from Crutchville 2005. I expect the same long life from this speaker.
Pros: Great sound, larger in size than I was expecting for the speakers. The price was unbelievable low for the quality. I look to Crutchfield first when buying audio equipment.
Yes, at this price per pair from Crutchfield, these little babies are priced in "budget speaker territory"- totally, no questions asked! However, the TSi's drivers ( in this case, a small woofer and tweeter used in this speaker) are the same ones used in the $600.00 pair of Polk TSi 400s, as well as the other TSi speaker models from Polk. The Polk TSI 400 floor standers are bigger and produce a more vividly dynamic sound stage, but the smaller Polk TSi 100s, in this review, sound incredibly clear and refined for their size. Clearly, they don't have the subterranean bass of a well engineered floor stander, but they do bass in a way that comes across as pretty deep with great presence. Also, bass in any speaker should sound clear and somewhat balanced out, with the bass, the midrange and the high range all equalized. Hence, you definitely don't want the bass in a speaker to sound muddy and vague, yet, the bass in these 100s sound so incredible and well controlled, it makes them more accurate than any other speaker in this price range. The bass in the TSi 100s is enough for most people's needs, and to me is truly amazing for a book shelf speaker design. All told, this is where Polk wins out, in that these speakers sound so good for there size, you almost don't need bigger speakers- that is how great they really sound. I currently have these Polk TSi 100s in a 2 channel audio setup. I am using the NAD C326BEE integrated amp to power them, as well as the cd NAD C546BEE!
Pros: These bookshelf speakers are incredibly well engineered and built, sounding like the $400.00 to $500.00 bookshelf offerings, but the right amplification is key to the best sound from these Polks. I am referring to the sound NAD Marantz, Onkyo, Cambridge Audio produce, to name a few choices. With these brands you get a tremendous "bang for buck" performance/cost ratio. I would have gladly paid the TSi pair full price, but the retail price from Crutchfield is an absolute "steal" !!
I'm very happy with the sound, deal and Crutchfield!
Pros: sound for the buck
Cons: I have none.
Great small speaker, very good base, well balanced. Perfect bookshelf speakers. Excellent quality!
Pros: Size, sound balance, quality
Amazing speakers. Great sound. Incredible bass. Used for Fronts in a surround sound system. Have them matched up with the following equipment:
Center: Polk Audio TSi CS10 Surrounds: Polk Audio BlackstoneT TL2 Receiver: Yamaha RX-A730
You will not be disappointed!!!
Pros: Great bass - not missing a sub-woofer at this point.
infinity primus bookshelf produce more sound with same watts from amp than the polk.
rly like these speakers have them up front and they sound amazing for the money would recommend
Small speakers, large crisp sound
Pros: Worth considerably more than their cost
Cons: Black front- while fine means you don't get any view of the cherry case if using them as bookshelf speakers
Crutchfields is always great to work with. The person I contacted helped me figure out what I needed and he explained everything about the product. The speakers are great! No problems.
Pros: Good size for the room. Excellent sound quality.
These speakers are alot larger than what I expected, but they sound alot better than what I expected I bought 2 pairs of them with a matching center and it is phenomenal. I am pushing 140 watts to each speaker and at no volume level does it distort. Best bookshelfs out there IMO.
Pros: Excellent sound Very tough Nice finish You can just tell there built well
Cons: Larger than expected
What can I say, these speakers are priced between the bare basic and the decent floor speakers. They also sound somewhere in between as well. Personally I think they sound great for the price. I chose these specifically because I could not justify the price of a good pair of floor standing speakers, and they fit in a certain location on my media console that keeps the kids from knocking them over. They do sound better than the average satelite speaker, but are a bit thin when compared to a good pair of floor speakers (that are twice the price though). Overall, if your budget restricts you from a top end speaker, these are a good choice. Or if, like me, you are also concerned about the physical size of these speakers, they are good for that too.
Pros: Look good, sound good, priced right.
Cons: Not quite the full range you'd get from a set of larger speakers, but i can't say that isn't to be expected really.
great product, great sound, you wont be sorry
Pros: size, sound, quality
Cons: didn't come in white
I purchased these speakers as replacements for older speakers. I am using them in my kitchen and have them placed on top of my cabinets. I feel the kitchen is a difficult place for speakers given all the hard surfaces. The speakers have a nice, rich sound which is helped by the port on the back of the speakers, in combination with the space above the kitchen cabinets. I have not "pushed" these speakers but at low and mid level volume, they sound great.
Pros: Nice size and good value.
Cons: None yet.
My first adventure outside sub $50 Logitech desktop speakers, and I am blown away by what I was missing. These project beautifully in my small flat, and with my Onkyo TX-8050 receiver they're very well powered my RMS is about 80w which works well with for the rated 100w.
Pros: Look stunningly gorgeous in piano black, frequency response is exceptional for a multitude of genres, and build quality feels expectionally solid.
After my old jbl center channel blowup (simple cinema system 5.1) I start to look for a different speaker that work instead jbl and improve the sound a little bit. found the cs 10 and wow! a transformation happen to my old system , so decide to keep looking for bookshelf speakers to replace the other 2 jbl satellites, try first the polks t15 very good ones, exe lent reviews but for mach the polk cs 10 decide to try he TSI 100 and once again a second transformation happen! my ears couldnt believe more than a %100 on improvment, very satisfy and happy . those tsi 100 with the cs 10 or cs 20 center channel bring alive movies, regular tv and music. My system is intalled in a regular room (12x15), in my opinion to get the best off this speakers must have a sub, remember they're bookshelf. Try klipsh, pionner, bose, b & W, and others and the polk simply have what i was looking for. Ps. And my wallet is very happy too.
Pros: Piano finish, size, banana speaker connections, very very clear sound, love the highs and mids you really can feel it, one thing that i love is the range on the power 20W - 100w now I'm running them with 35W and let me tell you it's enough . Very well protected for shipping.
Cons: Do not find anyone yet.
You will definitely need the 5 year warranty on these speakers. I purchased these speakers and within 1 week both tweeters were bad. I am told by the folks at Polk audio that I don't have enough power from my Dennon 100 watt system. This is my third set. The first were rated for 150 watts, when the tweeters blew instantly, the folks here at Crutchfeild advised me to get a smaller set. They exchanged with no problem. I have nothing but rave reviews for Crutchfield. Second set blew tweeters in 1 week, got free replacement tweeters, then the crossovers smoked. Nothing but a bad experience with Polk home speakers. Love the ones in my truck though.
I was very pleased to have my expectations far exceeded when I began to listen to these speakers the day they were delivered. And I'm pretty picky regarding sound. I bought them to replace a pair of speakers that were 4 times as expensive and ended up liking these more! They are ideal for living room size spaces. You'll find everything you need here...so be confident in buying. Fast, Crisp and Defined High Frequencies A Warm, Sculptural and Stimulating Mid-range (where the music mostly is). A Punchy Low Mid-range to more than compensate for lack of deep bass. And the volume is not a problem either: I have enjoyed them very soft and loud. All in all they sound full & confident -- I'm hearing and feeling a lot of material that I had never experienced before. Stunning! Best money I have ever spent!
I recently replaced my mammoth old 52" Sony rear projection TV with a 55"
Samsung LCD flat screen unit and a new base to incorporate all my
components that were located in several places around the room. The
speakers that I had been using for front speakers in my surround system
(B&W DM220i) sounded great, but took up a lot of room. Since I wanted to
make the setup more compact overall, I decided to purchase a pair of Polk
Audio TSi100s based on reviews from other owners. I bought the cherry
finished cabinets because they looked better with my furniture than the black.
As expected, they don't have quite the sound of the B&W speakers, but they're
pretty close. So far, I have been very happy with them and they serve very well
the purpose for which I bought them.
Love these speakers. Matched with CS10 center and psw125 and 2 sets for surround. About 30 hours to break in, then they open up. Great speaker.
These compact book shelf style speakers are perfect for my bedroom stereo/TV setup. They have a good sound quality ,produce a soild base/treble and deliver a good movie sound track from my TV. For alot of years I had big pioneer speakers and now I see that a person really doesn't have to have big speakers top get good quality sound.
Thanks for having them available at a reasonabale price.Delivery included.
I have these speakers hooked up to an old shelf system and they sound great ,clear highs not shrill great midrange bass a little boomy if bass is up too high overall I think the singers voices sound the best out of these small speakers. These speakers would be a great upgrade for any small shelf system.
The speakers are hooked up to a Roth 14W Cocoon amp. The sound is great for my den-- I have POLK floorstanding speakers with my home theather. I think that it is very consistent brand. Crutchfield was very easy to shop !
I bought these speakers to get a higher quality speaker than my other cheap fronts. The sound quality is impressive, not much bass but they work well as fronts in my 7.1 system. Plus they are very sharp and clean looking I'm a big fan of the piano top to match my tv stand. Overall I would recommend them to anyone.
Fantastic sound for such a small package. Add a subwoofer and you'll have one awesome sounding system. Highly recommended speaker system. I've always been a fan of Polk Audio speakers and these dont disappoint. Simply nice clean sound. 5 star.
Great sound from a little package!! I paired these with a pair of tsi200s and the sound just punches out at you, clean and pure! I'm hearing things i've never heard before in my music and movies. Highly recommend!
I purchased these speakers to replace some high end custom built speakers I made myself many years ago. They were large 3-way speakers with 12" woofers that just took up to much room.
I was hesitant to purchase these as a replacement as I didn't think the sound could even begin to compare, especially the bass. I was considering a sub-woofer also but waited to see how they sound first.
Much to my surprise they are incredible sounding speakers for a bookshelf unit. They sound as good as the large speakers I replaced. The clarity of the highs and nice solid bass was amazing. Now they won't compare to a quality sub-woofer unit but I found they put out enough bass punch for me so I don't need to purchase anything else.
Polk has a winner here.......The people at Crutchfield recommended these to me.......they know what they are talking about!
I bought these as a two channel set up in my small living room. They are really crisp and have lows that make up for the lack of a subwoofer. The design is really nice and they look great.
Bought these for the bedroom theater setup, needed better sound than what comes out of the TV and the wife uses them for listening to music. They sound great, and look great. We own other Polk speakers and they have not let me down yet!
These speakers were purchased to work as my main speakers to replace
an old set of Bose 301's, along with the RM95 surround speakers to
replace an old Yamaha surround system. All this is powered through a
Yamaha HTR 5890 reciever/amp. I haven't swapped the surrounds yet, but
I just had to swap the 301's out. I was a little worried when I pulled the
TSI's out. I figured I made a mistake since they were half the size of the
301's! I couldn't have been more wrong! They are crisp and punchy. They
sound better than the 301's! Better base, clearer midrange, and clear crisp
high's! There was nothing wrong with the 301's. These speakers are just
that much better!
This is THE best pair of speakers for the price! I just purchased a Polk PSW111 subwoofer and can't believe the sound coming out of my system! Terrific fit and finish as well. I highly recommend this combination for anyone who wants great sound at a very reasonable price!
Sounds great and has a good bass too( for the size ). I can use or not my sub if I don't want too much bass. Great///////

Dynamic Balance: Dynamic Balance is a proprietary Polk Audio technology using laser imaging to determine what combination of speaker materials create the least amount of resonance. Eliminating resonance in speakers results in a wide, smooth response and low distortion.
Klippel Optimized: Using a state-of-the-art Klippel Distortion Analyzer, Polk engineers were able to optimize the speaker structure and cabinet design for the best possible performance, even at extreme listening levels.
High Efficiency Design: Compatible with practically any AV receiver, these speakers produce sound that is open, spacious and clear, even when driven by modestly-powered amplifiers and receivers.
Bi-Laminate Composite Woofers: Each speaker features a 5.25" bi-laminate composite dynamic balance driver which is light and stiff for deep bass response and low distortion. For high performance durability, each woofer uses a butyl rubber surround.
Silk dome Tweeters: Each speaker features a 1.0" silk dome dynamic balance tweeter for detailed highs. Each tweeter features Mylar bypass capacitors in the crossovers to extend high frequency response and improve detail and transparency.
Frequency Response: The overall frequency response is 53Hz-25kHz and the -3dB frequency response is 61-24kHz.
Quality Built Cabinets: The TSi speaker cabinets are extensively braced MDF with ¾" thick baffles. With pewter accents, a piano black top plate and removable black grille, TSi speakers look awesome and take up less than one square foot. All models are available in a choice of black or cherry wood-grain vinyl finishes.
Narrow Baffle Geometry: Narrow baffle geometry is a design that creates a sleek looking speaker with great sound. First the high quality cabinet is slender and tucks away easily in your room. The smaller-diameter speaker components are lighter in mass, translating to clearer sound.
Flared Ports: All TSi speakers feature critically-tuned flared ports. Flared ports minimize port noise ("chuffing") and ensure good low frequency extension with low distortion. With flared ports, TSi speakers reveal realistic, natural, full-bodied sound with rich bass. These TSi bookshelf speakers feature a rear-firing port.
5-Way Binding Posts: Each speaker has a set of gold-plated 5-way binding posts.
Placement: Create an equilateral triangle between the speaker and the listening position. If you notice video distortion or discoloration, immediately move the speaker away from the video source.
Rubber Feet: Each speaker comes with four self-adhesive rubber feet so they will sit securely on your speaker stands or shelf.
Wall Mounting: Each speaker has a keyhole slot bracket on the back panel, allowing the speaker to be mounted on the wall using optional mounting screws (sold separately). A wall-mount template is provided to assist you.

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: That older Marantz stereo receiver is rated at 40 watts x 2 at 8 ohms so it'll drive the Polk Audio TSi100 speakers fine. Since they are small, you won't get a ton of bass from them but the Marantz is strong and should do a great job with those smallish bookshelf speakers. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Mar 25, 2014 ] Staff
I bought these speakers and they sound great especially for home theater. But, you shouldn't put them back against a wall like you said. I don't know why they have that mounting option on the back. The rear port I believe is part of the "bass reflex" system for more base in a smaller speaker, but it needs to move the air (thus the space from the wall). For musical listening, or if you have a subwoofer already, you might want to consider an "accoustic suspension" speaker (without the ports) if you want to place the back of them against the wall. I don't know if polk makes one of those since the home theater type speakers are so popular now. [ SCOTT Mar 20, 2014 ]
Hi Eric K! You're right, the TSI100 is rear-ported, it does come with a key hole type kind of bracket that for my personal taste is useful for surround mountings but you got to put some rubber shoes on them or otherwise you will hear some vibrations coming from the speakers shoes. The other question is if should you mount them against the wall? Well it depends IMO, if you're using them as surround you won't be able to hear much difference ( I have them against the wall mounted with the original key hole slot and I have them as surround 4 of them) but if you're using them as main L and R channels I will put them about 12 inches of the wall. I hope this gives you a better idea ! Have fun! And welcome to great sound! [ PEDRO Mar 20, 2014 ]
I've had no problems and mine are up against the wall. . Good speakers! [ KEN Mar 19, 2014 ]
Thank you for the response. [ Eric Mar 19, 2014 ]
The port is on the back but the bracket allows the woofer to "breathe". I used a single 3" Sheetrock screw in the wall. If you let it stick out about 1/2" it will mount just fine. I have a 7.1 polk setup with TSI400,300,100,CSC20, and a Pro440 WI. They totally rock! 90watts each channel. Monster speaker wire. Highly recommend TSI series. [ BRANDON Mar 19, 2014 ]
The mounting brackets provide about a 1 inch buffer between the speaker and the wall. So the port stays clear. These are truly wonderful speakers for the price. [ Suzanne Mar 19, 2014 ]
No, these are not self powered speakers. You need a receiver. It can be a small on though [ Badrinarayanan Jan 28, 2016 ]
Hi their, you will need a separate receiver. [ Antoine E. Jan 27, 2016 ]
You will not be able to connect this directly to a TV set without a seperate receiver. [ EARL Jan 27, 2016 ]
