The folks at Polk Audio are experts at filling your room with rich, lifelike home theater and stereo sound, without emptying your wallet. Take their high-performance TSx330T floor-standing speakers, for example. These towers use a 1" silk/polymer dome tweeter and two 6-1/2" Dynamic Balance® woofers to pump out smooth, spacious highs and surprisingly deep lows that will easily fill your small- to medium-sized room without taking up a lot of valuable floor space, or your hard-earned cash.
Polk carefully builds the TSx-series speakers using advanced manufacturing techniques and high-quality materials — they put a lot into them so you get a lot out of them. Each one boasts Polk's exclusive Dynamic Balance® drivers — a bi-laminate design of fiber-infused polymers sandwiched together to form a strong yet highly efficient lightweight cone for natural, low-distortion sound. Polk puts these advanced drivers through extensive testing to find and eliminate resonance points, ensuring that everything you listen to sounds clean and accurate.
Polk also paid special attention to the TSx crossovers, using a high-performance design with premium parts like Mylar bypass capacitors to deliver smooth and extended high-frequency details. Even the enclosures contribute to great sound. Their attractive cabinets use non-resonant MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and non-parallel curved side panels to create a rigid, acoustically inert structure that effectively reduces audible coloration.

I LOVE THESE SPEAKERS. THEY HAVE A SLEEK DESIGN AND AMAZING SOUND.
Excellent sound quality, clear and crisp. Surprising for a set of speakers that's so reasonably priced. I bought 2 that were "scratched and dented" just because they were lower priced. Honestly, I noticed a scratch on one of them, maybe 2 inches long-easily covered up with a marker, haven't noticed a scratch on the other one. I ordered the cherry wood finish to match my stereo stand and the finish is beautiful. Great value!
real nice set cant beat the price good looks to
I am very amazed and delighted at the sound quality for the money I am getting from these speakers. I replaced some Bose bookshelf units that in my opinion not only looked like kid's toys but sounded like them as well. These Polk floor speakers take music back to when it was something real that filled the room with rich wonderful sound. I am so glad I bought them. Along with a new turntable, CD player and receiver~~ I'm joyfully reliving my 1970's music immersion! (and Dad wanted me to throw that vinyl away?!)
Pros: Sexy good looks, marvelous sound
Cons: None so far.
I must say I was totally surprised of the sound speakers produce! Sounding much better than the polk speakers that I already own ! I also enjoy good look, great for my family room !!
You get what you pay for here. I bought two of these as my rear speakers in conjunction with my front TSi400's. The TSi400's out perform these as expected, but do a good job as my rear speakers most of the time. I can't drive these as hard as the TSi400's but they do fine with less output levels as rears normally would. Actually are bigger than the TSi400's and could be considered nicer looking to some.
Pros: Cheap entry level Polk's with a decent sound. Clear sound at most levels, good looking.
Cons: Lack in bass, start to crack a little at higher volumes.
These are great speakers and beautiful as well. They put out a very good sound in the upper and middle ranges. They are larger than I thought they would be, but that is no problem. Again, they are well crafted speakers.
Pros: Beautiful cherry wood veneer. A very good sounding speaker in the upper and middle ranges. Simple connection.
Purchased a pair of these Polk's to upgrade from the 15 year old Bose Acoustimass system. These speakers are great. If you do not want to break the bank, get them.
Pros: Great speakers for the price
Best value out there for a pair of entry level towers.
Pros: Price, build quality, sound
Cons: None at this price point
The Polk Audio TSx330T floor standing stereo speakers are not only gorgeous to look at, they are fantastic sounding! They have a rich full and crisp sound with sensitive volume control that delivers low to high decibels with grace and ease. The sales agent I worked with, Otis, was very helpful and knowledgeable. My experience with Crutchfield , the sales person and product was excellent - plus free shipping on my order, what's not to love! Thank you Crutchfield!
Pros: Super sweet sounding, gorgeous to look at, great customer service, thanks Otis!
Buy them you will be happy
Cons: made in China
I was deciding between these TSx330Ts and a pair of TSi300s. The price difference was only about $20 each, so it made sense to go with the newer and slightly larger TSx330Ts. They arrived quickly and in excellent condition. They won't be pushed too hard in my small living room, but certainly sound decent at modest volume. No complaints so far.
I've been putting together an "old fashioned stereo" system for my home "sports bar". I already have surround sound systems in the rooms that I watch movies in, but wanted a simple, but nice sounding two channel stereo. Last year I picked up a nice, but inexpensive, Sherwood receiver and it works fine for my purpose. I had been playing it through some JBL bookshelf speakers. Nice sound for the money, but lacking the sound I wanted. Saw these speakers and noticed they came with a "free PSW111 subwoofer" too. Decided to take the plunge and ordered a pair. When I first fired them up I was a little disappointed. Didn't seem to have that full sound I wanted. I kept listening and after a while they started sounding better. The longer I listened, the better they were sounding. I guess they needed to "break in" a little. After a little over a week, I couldn't be more pleased. The sub adds the very low, lows, but I barely keep it turned up. My music sounds awesome. Crisp highs, clear mids and rumbling lows. I can shake the windows, doors and floors if I want to turn it up and /or crank up the sub, but I like just a nice, tight punchy bass for my music, not the room shaking rumbles that you want for movies. I can't imagine any speakers in this price range sounding any better. Especially if you factor in the free subwoofer. Plus, the cherry finish goes very well with my bar and stools.
Pros: Great looking speakers. The cherry matches my bar and stools very nicely. Great service from Crutchfield too. Shipped for free and came in about three days.
The experience with Crutchfield has been fantastic. I have only had the product for a couple of weeks but so far the speakers are solid. At higher levels the highs, especially vocals, can be a bit harsh. Not sure if that's on the speakers or the receiver though. On a good note these speakers provide tremendous clarity.
Pros: Great clarity!
Cons: Highs such as vocals can be a bit harsh when played at high volumes.
Great product for the right price. I did a lot of research and i couldn't find better deal. I'm using as stereo speaker just for music. The speakers are great but lack of bass. You must have I sub to have a better sound result. I added a 8" sub from Polk and I am very happy with the result.
Pros: Finishing, high and mid notes and price
Cons: lack of low notes
How well these perform for you depends on what you pay for them. I purchased these on sale at just about half off (BOGO!) from Crutchfield. When there is a good sale on, they're an excellent value. At MSRP, you would be better off buying the bookshelf version and putting the rest towards a subwoofer. First up for the sound test was about 8 hours of casual TV listening through my Yamaha RXV677, then about 16 hours of mp3s at medium volume. The sound is very clear, with a noticeable push towards the treble side. The mids are there but not very warm, but accurate. Low range was kinda weak, but clear and not muddy. Now I know why Polk likes to run the free subwoofer offer because these need it. After I turned on my sub (set at 80 Hz) the system came alive. After about 30 hours of casual listening to TV and some mp3s, time to put in some serious source material. First up was Rush "Moving Pictures" blu ray audio; the clarity of these speakers is quite good for price paid. Highs are dramatic, mids are slightly weak but accurate, upper lows are clear but low lows need subwoofer help. I found movies to be about the same, in need of subwoofer help. These speakers bi-amp, bi-wire compatible, I did not try this, but feel they would not benefit much from doing this. I rated these 5 stars because of sound and price paid; at MSRP, I would rate them 3.5 stars. The current deal of a free sub or $300 towards a better Polk sub is a 5 star Deal (after $499 purchase)
Pros: Needs a subwoofer (gotta love subwoofers!..you get one free with current offer, which makes this a very good deal) clarity and accuracy is very good, upper base is accurate. Very musical and good with movies also, which isn't very common with speakers in this price range.
Cons: Needs a subwoofer, not much low bass, slight push towards treble. Average looks (I think the cherry looks better but I needed black for my theater room)
I was a little worried since hardly any reviews were from people using this for strictly music and most were for surround. I originally purchased pioneer so-fs52 because of the rave reviews. After a couple days of listening I felt the speakers were too tinny and lacked depth. Crutch field had an amazing deal on Polk so I was able to purchase $500 speakers(pair) for the same price as the Pioneer. I use a Rega RP1 paired with a vintage Realistic reciever and a pair of old JBL speakers. The old speakers has 12" subs so I was also a little worried the bass would lack with the new speakers. Ended not being a problem whatsoever, I was pleasantly surprised that I could turn the reciever to 25% volume and feel the bass across the house. I use the speakers strictly for music, both digital and analog, and I love them.
Pros: Deep Bass Smooth mids Crisp highs Great sound at both high and low volumes Does not have that tinny or muddy sound Looks great in my music room
Cons: No discounts were available for the cherry version
The sound quality is very clear with regards to the high and mid-range
Pros: Sound quality of the high and mid-ranges, the speakers look nice and are well built. I'm very, very particular with sound quality and manufacturing quality. The floor speakers hit the mark and are well worth the money spent.
Cons: Audio jacks are very difficult to plug and unplug the jacks into. It's not the location of the plugs, but the actual process of plugging and un-plugging. There may be a reason for it, but this is the only issue I can find for the product.
Sound great for the price (2 for 1 sale)
Pros: High quality customer service. Every question was answered completely by a representative who had significant first hand experience with the product. With in a few seconds knew exact specs of my aging receiver and gave me multiple options of installing the product. Shipping fast, free and no problems. Will use in future over other available retail stores in my area.
Excellent sounding speaker and its also a very nice looking speaker.
Pros: Excellent Sound
they look and sound great!
Pros: sound quality and the looks of the speaker
Cons: have not found one yet
Great purchase. Sound amazing for such a great price.
Great speakers. I needed some rear surround sound speakers and these are working amazing
Pros: These look great they sound great they provide some nice sound
Cons: do you only downside which is not really a downside is that the speakers or four speakers the rest of my system is in wall speakers
Replacing some Cerwin Vega RE 25's. They don't have quite the same punch, but they sound very nice.
I bought these speakers for my husband as an early birthday gift .These are excellent speakers for the price. My husband researched these speakers for several weeks and has been using them for a few weeks now. He likes the deep bass reflex and says it makes concerts and music sound near excellent.
Pros: Excellent price for a great speak. Crutchfield staff very knowledgable and helpful when making the purchase.
Cons: none so far.
I was worriedown moving to towers and no longer having 12" subs but the base is incredible. The sound quality is excellent and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
Pros: Great looking speaker. Amazing sound quality.
Cons: None so far.
First: superb advice from Rusty. No pressure, no pitch, just the facts based on the space in which these Polk speakers were to (and are currently with great satisfaction being) used. Second: after two weeks of regular and daily use I can not shake off the novelty of how I remain surprised and pleased with the extraordinary sound quality I'm now living with. At 66 years old I feel like a kid getting his first really good sound system- well, I guess thanks to Crutchfield and Rusty and Polk, I am. These Polk Audio TSx330T speakers, linked to a Yamaha A-S500 amp produce extremely clear trebles and with the Polk PSW-125 sub-woofergive equally clear lows, with no "muddying" of the sound.
Pros: Wonderful clarity across the entire sound spectrum
Cons: None what so ever
NICE SOUND, NICE CABINETS, VERY CLEAN. GREAT VALUE WHEN PAIRED WITH SUB WOOFER. GREAT JOB CRUTHFIELD
Pros: SOUND & LOOK
Cons: THEY DON'T COME WITH MILLIONS OF DOLLARS STUCK IN THEM
The Polk speakers perform very well. High, low, mid-range notes are all very clear and accurate. The sound of these speakers is far better than other brands that I have had. The connectors are well made and can handle a variety of types of speaker wires easily. The cabinets look very good, and the size make the speakers easy to place in a room. The speakers greatly improved the music quality from my stereo system. I have the speakers connected to a Bang & Olufsen 6000 receiver, and they work great. I also briefly connected them to a Marantz receiver and to a Denon receiver, and they made a great improvement in sound quality. I intend to buy additional Polk TSx-330T speakers for the other last two receivers.
Pros: Great sound quality. Well built.
Great Speakers! Got the free subwoofer but the speakers don't need it. Great lows and highs. I use them for stereo listening and really love the sound.
Pros: Great all-around sound.
I just received my speakers this morning and hooked them up. I am simply amazed on how nice they sound. I have heard better speakers but nothing like these at this price. I auditioned a bunch of other sub 500 each floor speakers and none were as full or imaged as nice as these with such clarity. Here are a few caveats. First, these things want power to sound great. I have an NAD 356 BEE (80 watt amp) This is a high current amp so it really delivers well. I also got the Polk Audio PSW 111 subwoofer hooked up. The Sub was free as part of a special promo. The sub fills in the right amount of lows with out being boomy. It's better for music than home theater. The combination is a smooth a silky but accurate sound. There is no listening fatigue, just pure enjoyment. I can't wait till these fully break in.
Pros: Clean, smooth, bright and accurate sound
Cons: They lack some bottom end at low volume but a sub more than makes up for it. I think they are a little power hungry but that wasn't a problem for me. I would not recommend them if you have a small amp or receiver. Regardless of my cons I still rate them 5 stars because they sound so good at such a great price.
Great speakers with warm natural sound. Have them paired with a PSW 111 subwoofer and powered by a Yamaha v477 (80W/channel) receiver. Using these speakers in a 2.1 setup and they handle everything well..from smooth jazz to phantom of the opera and movies. If you are upgrading from "small" these speakers have adequate bass for music listening, however adding the subwoofer added some low end punch and kick to bass heavy songs such as Peter White's "Bueno Funk". Currently contemplating adding a center channel for movies but have not decided as the dialogue is centered as long as you are sitting in the "sweet spot" (speakers spaced 8 ft apart)
Pros: Great sound Nice build and finish For a medium room the size of these speakers will not dominate the decor
Excellent speakers that have more then enough bass for listening of music. If you are going to connect to a surround system they would be fine for all but the hardcore movie fan. They were delivered on time and in excellent condition. Great buy when on sale especially when you get the free polk subwoofer.
Very good sound quality.
got fer my bd wish I had got those with 2 8'' inch woofers.
Pros: nice and heavy
Cons: not any
very clear highs and mids. Although the base response is not incredibly low it does hey very good sounding bass...and much more than expected coming out of a six and a half inch speaker.
These speakers are beautiful. They look great in a new home or your basement. These speakers aren't the high end ones but they have a nice crisp sound. Some ppl were complaining that they don't have hardly any bass. But I find all that specific sound tweaking to be in your receiver. They got good bass for speakers. And a good sound. If you're trying to get "bassy" speakers just stop. Get what sounds good and what will hit those highs and miss. Let a powered sub handle the lows. I find these speakers perfect. Let's face it, you're still gonna buy all the other components aren't ya. Who just gets 2 speakers and expects the best sound ever?
Pros: Beautiful, easy to install, just the right speaker for the need.
Cons: There are no tweeter covers so I get scared about taking off the face when people are around.
I am a newbie and this is part of my first speaker system. I bought a pair of these with the TSx150C center and the free promotional PSW111 subwoofer. It is bi-amped to a Sony STR-DN850. I did some research and went to two different local retailers to listen to whatever speakers they had to see if I can hear a difference. there is definitely a difference between the higher end and lower end speakers. However, to these rookie ears, not enough to justify the significant price difference. I chose these speakers for a few reasons... 1. it came with the subwoofer. 2. It is inexpensive enough to get my foot in the door to the world of sound. 3. I enjoyed the more "forward" tweeters (similar to Klipsch, but not as forward). They are a beautiful set of speakers and sound really good. the subwoofer has plenty of punch for me in a room that is about 15x20. I should have invested in audio a long time ago... it does really enhance the experience of movies and music(helps a little with documentaries, news, and the like, but the biggest benefit is with music and movies) I was also looking at lower Klipsch RF series, but size of speakers make a difference. I recommend buying the bigger speakers at the "entry level" series over smaller speakers at higher series at same cost. it seems bigger and more speakers enhances the experience. As a newbie, don't worry about the "nicer" series. Over time, you will gain experience and know the value.
Pros: Beautiful. Good sound. Room filling. A good highs and miss. Decent low end, but having the sub really does make a difference.
These speakers are amazing. paired with a Yamaha rx-v475 AV receiver, my interest in music has come back to life. Highs and mid range are awesome. I appreciatethe sound at low volume, and am blown away when turned up. I won't know if doubling the cost for a couple levels up pair would have mattered, but I can honestly say one month after...I don't have any regrets. Great job Polk and Crutchfield!
Pros: Outstanding quality at a fair and reasonable price.
I'm very happy with these speakers. They fill my large room with great sound. I'm using them in a 5.1 system, they bring music and movies to life.
Pros: Great sounding with looks to match.
The Polk products are a great balance between quality and price. They are the third Polk speakers I buy. ( the last two from Crutchfield) Fine sound , perfect size and great looks. Solid construction.
Terrific sound with variety of music.
I knew I wanted good sound, but also good looks (and not a fortune), so these were exactly what I needed! I haven't really tested their full potential yet (don't wanna tick off my new neighbors right off the bat), but on their own they fill my whole new 18-ft-ceiling loft/condo space with great sound. Only complaint I have is that they come with no speaker wire, which my salesperson failed to inform me I would need, so I had to make an emergency run after I got them unboxed. Additionally, even if they had come with wire, there were no setup/installation instructions. Maybe most people buying a product like this already know what they're doing, but I had to wing it with the help of YouTube. But as far as just the speakers themselves go, Grade A, would buy again.
Pros: Sound, price, physical appearance (I'm using them grills-off and they're gorgeous)
Cons: No speaker wire or instructions.
Clear and crisp sound.
Great sound - inexpensive price - Good value. Decided to maintain domestic tranquility, that a sub-woofer was not needed due to sufficient base reproduction.
Pros: Great sound - Good value.
Cons: Wish they showed more wood from the front like the Polk Monitor series which I had first.
these look and sound great, I played with the receiver a lot but could not hear much of a bass from them. I changed everything, the crossover freq. excluded all other speakers, set them up on ''Large'' but I never managed to her much of a bass from them, but with a sub... They sound terrific! I got them set them up on small with crossover-80htz and enjoy, they can handle 60htz, but I play them bi-amped in 5.1 set up with the rest of the TSX family, that is why I have these at 80htz I power them with Yamaha RX-V577. I like the sound a lot!
I've been using a Polk RM7500 speaker setup for years, finally upgraded my fronts to these and I am very pleased with how they sound... And they look great too! Crutchfield was helpful in suggesting these, and after researching, the forums agreed.... Price was nice, and it came with a credit for a Polk sub. My new setup sounds wonderful. Thanks Crutchfield!
Pros: Price, clarity, powerful sound, looks, you'll love them.
Cons: Can't really think of anything that I dislike about these....
I bought these speakers based on the many positive reviews I read. I purchased these speakers to replace my aging Cerwin-Vega loudspeakers. I figured these speakers, coupled with a free PSW110 sub would be more than adequate for my listening needs. I use my audio system to listen to audio cd's,blu-ray movies, rock concert dvd's and satellite television. I hooked up these polk audio speakers to my Onkyo TX-NR616 receiver that I purchased from Crutchfield about a year ago. The sound from these speakers, while not really inspiring, was pretty clear at all volume levels. I had them bi-amped (correctly) to my receiver and left the EQ pretty neutral. I figured they would need some time to break in. Was I surprised to discover after only a few days, the tweeter on one of the speakers stopped working. I was feeling a little frustrated and let down, but at least I had confidence in the fact of knowing that Crutchfield would make the whole deal right. I called right away, explained the situation to customer service. I decided to just return everything. The return process was quick and painless. Perhaps these speakers were not the right fit for my tastes, but I'm sure they would work great in a more dedicated home theater setup,as opposed to stand-alone. Will definitely continue to buy from Crutchfield because of their outstanding customer service.
Pros: Nice looking speakers. Excellent customer service.
Cons: Speaker blew in less than a week. Rough handling by UPS guys.
The Tsx 300t is a good stand speaker. It cover a good frequency range, and is crispy enough to the most number of ears, except perhaps those extreme audiophiles. Regarding power, if you dies not intend do breakdown any structure the 150 w are really fine.
Pros: Good design, crispy sound, average price range
Cons: High depth. It need space to fit in your HT system
These are good little speakers, fill up the living room in my apartment with sound. Worth the $$ I paid for them.
Pros: nice looking, relatively small foot print. Sound good.
Cons: none yet
Brand new out of the box, and one of the horns doesn't work. May or may not be a decent product, but that put a bad taste in my mouth.
I liked the clarity of the Tsx330s so much I returned them for the 550s which are even better.
Bought these on advise of a friend, some reviews on here, and teamed them with a Yamaha 475 series receiver and a Psw111 in a 10x12x8h room. After playing around with this for about a two weeks, I managed to get these to sound AWESOME . I thought about making this a 3.1 system, but I really think this is adequate for the moment.
I bought these speakers based on the other 15 reviews that all seem to mention how much bass they have. I got the discounted psw125 with these and am very pleased with it, but without it on there is no bass. These are the least bassy speakers I have ever owned. My in ceiling speakers have more bass and they are terrible. This much for the same sound I could have from a cheap set of bookshelf speakers.
Pros: The discount on the sub woofer.
Cons: They sound terrible. No bass. So disappointed.
I replaced an old (1986) pair of Bose 601's which I dearly loved but these speakers performed very well and I use them mainly for a theatre system.
Pros: Nice slim design with great clear sound
Cons: can tip over when my cat uses it to launch himself up on to the stereo cabinet.
I love these speakers. Paired with a Marantz NR1504 receiver, I think they sound incredible. Have had them for about a month, and they deliver a rich, detailed sound at any volume level. I appreciate the way they hold the total sound together at higher volume, but at lower volume they're great for long periods of TV watching. Hard for me to believe these are the lowest of the TSx line - I couldn't ask for anything more.
Pros: Heavy, substantial construction Build quality of the cabinets Sound quality is outstanding to me
I got these with the polk audio sub deal, so I picked up two of these for and a psw. Although quite frankly, these floorstanders are worth it for no discount and just retail price. These are great for all kinds of uses through any genre of music or for movies or tv. The bass output is incredible and unless you listen to hip hop, electronic music, R&B, or your just a basshead you do not need to pair these with a sub. The Midrange is excellent but not perfect. and vocals of all kinds come through great. The treble is near perfect and very bright and will satisfy almost everyones needs. I Bi wire these so im not sure what they sound like regularly. Also they require a small amount of burn in. These do not have the raw power that the models with more drivers would have but they perform admirably for the size and price. My friend has the monitor 75t and these perform better in everything except for midrange output. In addition, these speakers are not very tall and do not take up much space, you could put them almost anywhere. They are incredibly aesthetically pleasing and the new shape of the TSx line is a great improvement over the boxy shape of other polk audio speakers. However the wood contruction of these do not match the psw125 perfectly and if you really care about matching you should get the psw 505.
Pros: Sound quality, size, shape, bass and treble performance, bi wiring capability, design and looks, comes in good packaging.
Cons: Midrange performance isn't perfect, not the greatest deal retail price, need to be placed correctly for balanced sound. (These cons barely detract from this amazing speaker)
Like the speakers, clear and good sounding.
High quality construction and excellent sound production. These modern aesthetically appealing tower speakers will add a instant difference to any home theater. Paired with a Polk Audio Cs10 and it's a instant wall of sound. Movies are loud in your face and really rock the room. The bass output from these alone sound amazing even if the sub is turned off. Music sounds full and deep. The highs are bright and clean without being fussy or piercing. All together these beauties will for sure bring alive any sound system.
Pros: Deep bass and clean highs Beautifully modern looking Quality you would expect from Polk
Cons: I didn't buy earlier
I choose these speakers because i had a budget in mind and wanted quality speakers. I ended up getting the whole TSx Series to go along with these towers...TSx150 center, and the TSx110 rears/bookshelf. In addition i did take advantage of the current Cruchfield/Polk subwoofer special and got the DSW 550 sub and couldnt be happier. I dont think i could have got anything better for the price i paid. The TSx series is very balanced and not overly bright. I use them primarily for HT though i will listen to music occasionally. The fit and finish of the speaker is exactly what you would expect from Polk... and the packaging was top notch too. I will say i was hesitant about have UPS deliver these... but the boxes showed up in mint condition, well done.
Pros: Great quality at this price... nicely packaged for shipping. Warm balanced tone, handles power well (i can max out my Marantz 1504 with no problems... though its only 50w)
Cons: If you like a speaker that registers ear piercing highs... this may not be a good choice.
Fantastic sound and performance, plus a great price.
I got a great price on these speakers at Crutchfield, better then anyplace else. Attached them to STR840 Sony receiver. Using Technics turntable and they sound great. Perfect for medium sized room. Nice not to compressed bass. Warm sound and they look great too( cherry wood finish).
Pros: Great warm all around speaker
Cons: None for the price
Great little speaker for the bucks
Pros: sounds good
Cons: is on sale now!
First pair of Polk speakers , i replaced my old school tower speakers(15" floor speakers) . The low volume needs a sub to fill in the sound but on high volume they punch out awsome.... Great job with all type of music . Time will tell the rest of the story , hope they put up with my abuse !
Pros: Nice crisp sound and great bass on the high end
Cons: Wish it came with a bumper sticker for my truck
This is my first real home theater setup. Wanted a good set of speakers that could deliver excellent performance for both music and movies. I have only had them a month but I am still surprised at what these speakers can do. Crutchfield was having a Polk sale and I just couldn't pass them up. I have to agree with other reviewers by saying that these speakers put out a good amount of bass, I was really impressed. It's not overpowering but it is there. Mids and highs are clear and present, (at least to my ears.) Eventually I will add a sub for really deep bass, but in the meantime they perform excellent. I will complete the setup with the center and eventually the rears. I agree that everyone's ears and tastes are different, some people may love the sound of these, others may find it lacking. Bottom line is they work for me and at this price range you really can't go wrong. Would definitely buy again!
Pros: Surprising sound and power for entry level speakers.
Cons: None that I can think of. Hope they hold up.
Speakers have full range if I knew they had this much bass would not have ordered sub woofer
Pros: sound style and price
Wasn't sure of purchasing these speakers, felt I would return them if they weren't what I thought they would be. I was fooled! These are great speakers! They are throwing out all that I could want, being pushed by an old 150 watt receiver. There's absolutely no distortion, great highs, mid range. Don't even need a sub. Don't think twice about buying them ....you'll see what I am talking about.
Pros: Everything is great; above and beyond what I expected! No need to spend anymore money than this! I checked out a lot of speakers...these will definitely give you all that your ears could handle unless your an elephant!
I was having trouble understanding speech with my old speakers, so I began reading up on your various speaker systems and the accompanying reviews from customers. I chose Polk TX330TC towers and a Polk TX150CC center speaker. The sound is absolutely beautiful--so transparent and clear with no hint of unwanted resonances. Spatial response across my room is excellent--I now have my own concert hall.

TSx Series Loudspeaker: Introducing the TSx Series of loudspeakers from Polk; stylish and quality-built for high performance. The high efficiency TSx Series loudspeaker features a unique curved enclosure wrapped in a wood-grain vinyl. The loudspeaker employs Dynamic Balance tuned drivers and tweeters for realistic mid-range, deep, well-blended bass, and incredible detail - for a classic Polk sound that is naturally open, spacious, and clear.
High Efficiency Design: The TSx Series loudspeaker can be driven by practically any electronics, even the most modestly-powered amplifier or receiver. Whether you're connecting them to the newest digital receiver, or to your vintage amp, the TSx Series loudspeaker can produce sound that's spacious and clear, enveloping and realistic.
Dynamic Balance Drivers: The TSx Series loudspeaker uses Polk's Dynamic Balance Driver Technology for great sound. Dynamic Balance is a proprietary Polk Audio technology using laser imaging to determine what combination of speaker materials create the least amount of resonance. Eliminating resonance in speakers results in a wide, smooth response and low distortion. Using just the right materials enables Polk to tune out performance-robbing resonances before they occur.
Klipple Optimized Motor: Klipple Optimized Motor employs a laser and sophisticated software for large scale analysis of the TSx Series loudspeaker's drivers in motion. Using this state-of-the-art laser and software process, Polk engineers were able to optimize the speaker's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.
Silk/Polymer Dome Tweeter: The TSx330T tower loudspeaker features a 1.0" silk/polymer Dynamic Balance dome tweeter with a powerful neodymium magnet structure that delivers clear and detailed highs for realistic reproduction of vocals and instruments, without fatigue.
Bi-Laminate Composite Woofers: The TSx3300T tower loudspeaker features two 6.5" bi-laminate composite Dynamic Balance midbass/midrange drivers for crisp, detailed midrange and smooth, natural bass extension. These Dynamic Balance bi-laminate composite cone woofers are lightweight and stiff with exceptional damping. They use butyl rubber surrounds, vented polyamide voice coils, massive motor structures, and high-temperature aramid fiber spiders to create a driver of exceptionally high efficiency, clear bass, better linearity, lower distortion, and greater durability.
High Performance Crossover: The loudspeaker employs a high performance crossover system for optimum blending and time alignment of the overall speaker. Mylar bypass capacitors are used to reveal extended high frequency details.
TSx-Series Timbre-Matched: All Polk loudspeakers are timbre-matched within their series, designed with the same components throughout, to achieve seamless speaker-to-speaker blending effects in multi-channel systems.
Frequency Response: The TSx330T tower loudspeaker has an overall frequency response of 33Hz-25kHz, while the -3dB frequency response is 45-24kHz.
Curved MDF Cabinet: The TSx330T tower loudspeaker utilizes a unique curved cabinet design which creates a stronger, more rigid and acoustically inert enclosure. The elegantly curved side panels, which create non-parallel surfaces, reduce unwanted internal standing waves for less audible coloration. Non-resonant all-MDF construction with front-to-back and side-to-side internal bracing, and a 3/4"thick baffle ensures cleaner, clearer, more lifelike sound quality.
Note: The TSx330T tower loudspeaker is available in either a black or cherry finish.
Flared Port: The TSx Series loudspeaker features a critically-tuned, front-firing 3" flared port. The flared port improves air flow and minimizes port noise ("chuffing"), while ensuring good low frequency extension with low distortion. This flared port design lets the TSx speaker reveal realistic, natural, full-bodied sound with rich bass.
Anti-Diffraction Grille: The computer modeled anti-diffraction grille minimizes grille interference, so it doesn't get in the way of your sound. This black cloth grille is detachable.
Dual 5-Way Binding Posts: The TSx330T tower loudspeaker has two sets of gold-plated 5-way binding posts connected by gold-plated jumpers. Using the dual 5-way binding posts, you can bi-amp or bi-wire the speakers. The 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire (up to 10AWG), pin-connectors, spade-connectors, and banana plugs (single or dual). The speaker terminals are color coded for easy identification between positive (red) and negative (black).
Placement: Create an equilateral triangle between the speaker and the listening position. If you notice video distortion or discoloration, immediately move the speaker away from the video source.
Integrated Feet: The TSx330T tower speaker features four integrated conical non-slip feet to ensure stability for precise positioning.

I love Polk. They just cater to my ears. I got these to replace some Klipsch reference floorstanders that I was unhappy with. To my surprise, the two different pairs of speakers blend beautifully. I kept both pairs and play everything through all four speakers. Very happy with the results. [ THOMAS R Mar 13, 2016 ]

That's really a matter of opinion Timothy. I will say that most tower speakers no longer use the larger 12" drivers as they are commonly paired with a powered subwoofer which handles all the deepest bass frequencies. You may want to check the bass management settings on your Integra. If your front channels are set to "small" the receiver will not send them the deeper bass frequencies and re-route them to the powered subwoofer. If they are set to "large" and you're still not getting the bass you want from them, the Polk TSx330T will not provide more bass so, you're best course of action would be to add a second subwoofer or, replace the one you have with a more powerful version. I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5 [ Ryan May 09, 2016 ] Staff
