A pair of Infinity Reference 1031t tweeters will brighten your car's sound system. These 1" tweeters add sparkle and clarity to your music, improving your stereo image without adding harshness that can tire your ears. The edge-driven textile dome tweeters feature large voice coils which allow high power handling and smooth response.

You'll hear clean, distortion-free performance as the in-line crossovers direct the high frequencies to the tweeters. Infinity's I-Mount™ system simplifies installation, and the Starfish™ adapters provide easy mounting of the tweeters behind panels and under factory speaker grilles.

Note: These tweeters must be used with the supplied in-line high-pass crossovers, or an appropriate external crossover. Failure to do so could lead to damage to the tweeters not covered under the warranty.

great sounding tweeters!

Written by: ChrisC from Idaho on October 6, 2015

Fantastic sounding tweeters! Replaced stock 3½" dash speakers in my '11 4 runner (non-jbl system) with these, and although they aren't 3½" speakers, they still deliver a clean center stage for my system (AVIC 8100NEX and stock speakers, running off head unit power, with 8" sub and amp in rear). Not sure why they discontinued these tweeters, the sound level and broader range of a 1" tweeter over other brands seem to be a great combination with nothing else taking its place that have similar specs.

Pros: Clean, crisp sound, lots of installation pieces to make sure they fit nearly any vehicle out there.

Cons: That is one LARGE crossover for that tweeter! Good luck mounting that one in a dash!!! And those allen screws on the tweeter itself to attach the wires? Yeah, not a good idea! They do not cinch down very tight on the wires unless you bend and twist the extremely tiny allen wrench they supply with the kit!

Awesome Tweeters

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For my daughters 1988 BMW 325i Convertible. I used a dremel to remove the old small 1 1/4 inch tweeters and placed these 1" in place. Secured them with hot glue--awesome fit.

Pros: Daughter can't believe the difference. She thought all the speakers needed to be replaced. Eventually we will but for now she is really impressed.

Cons: Honestly haven't found any.

Passable at best

I bought a set of these back when I decided the Jeep factory paper tweeters weren't going to cut it. The starfish brackets were able to be manipulated to work in the factory mounting locations, and install is ridiculously easy. However, within a week one of the tweeters blew out and the other started to pop, Crutchfield (as always) honored the warranty and I received a new set within a week. The new set worked OK for a while, however now the popping is back. I'm upset as I've always liked Infinity but this just feels low quality to me.

Pros: Nice starfish bracket for easy install, crisp highs when it works

Cons: Stop working within months of purchase, both sets.

Easy to install

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these last August to replace the blown factory tweeters in my '03 Honda Pilot. I
was concerned about the possibility of them not working in the factory location. I
removed the brackets from the factory tweeters and they were an easy fit to mount to the
Infinity 1031T making installation a breeze. They play quite crisp and clear. I added four
Kicker 6 1/2" speakers to the doors and the overall improvement in sound is excellent.

Very good tweeters, alone and w/components

Written by: Michael from Akron, OH on January 15, 2011

I have two sets of these tweeters as well as the set that came with the 6 1/2
in. components I purchased. One set is powered by the head unit, the other set
is powered in line with a set of Infinity ref. 6 1/2 in. coax. along with the
components by an Alpine 50 X 4 amp. Have had them for 3 years, (the separate
sets, the components for 2 years) sound great. No
problems with durability, the head unit (22w. rms) sounds fine, the sets powered
by the amp sound fine; fact is, you only know you're sitting in a very nice
sounding truck, they blend right in with everything else. My Kicker 12in.
compvt prefabricated enclosure sub. fills it all out nicely. The included
mounts have gotten many compliments, they make it easy to make you look like the
best installer in the world! One in the sail panel, one above the coax. in the
door, one in the kick panel. The ability to aim them is versatile and looks
good. Very nice addition to your system.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased two sets of these, (by accident) but kept both just in case. Crossovers don't seem to do the trick the tweeters sound great for a while but have had all four pop and blow within a few months of installation, I'm staying away from these in the future and looking elsewhere, though I'm keeping the starfish brackets for practicality.

Just Installed these

Written by: hunter from Socal, CA on December 6, 2010

Just installed these in my scion tC, came with a bunch of different adapters.
Amazing clarity and crisp highs. Connect these to a component speaker system and
they will blow you away. Definitely worth the extra dollars if you want quality
sounds. I have no review on the durability of these tweeters though.

Adds the finishing touch

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have an "08 Honda Ridgeline, which came with a fair stereo system. I enjoy listening to music that is clear, not necessaruly loud.
I replaced all 4 ddor speakers initially with lower -end Alpines-better, but poor bass. I went with an 8" powered sub as this truck doen't have much room. Again, this was satisfying for awhile, but still not clear-replaced all 4 speakers with Focal's, which is an awesome upgrade.
I then realized I had forgotten tweeters where the OEM 's were-after researching it , decided on the Infinities. let me tell you, it was an incredible difference just adding these 2 quality 1" speakers.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced the factory tweeters in my '04 Chevy Colorado (Ext Cab) because the previous owner had pretty much blown everything up... The high end was REALLY magnified, even out of the OEM unit. In fact I had to turn the treble down quite a bit. I paired these with four Infinity Reference 6022si's.

Overall it was a simple upgrade, I had to cut holes where the factory mount was. However the supplied mounting options made the install look clean and professional.

Tweeter Material: Each tweeter features a 1" edge-driven textile dome for smooth, accurate highs.

Tweeter Mounting: The I-Mount tweeter mounting system and Starfish mounting brackets give you several different ways to mount the tweeters:

  • I-Mount Tweeter Mounting System: The tweeters can be surface- or flush-mounted with Infinity's innovative I-Mount system:
    • Surface Mount: Surface mounting the tweeters involves screwing the surface-mount cup to the mounting location, then inserting and locking the tweeter into the cup.
    • Flush Mount: Flush mounting is made easy through the use of the threaded flush-mount adapter and plastic locking nut. Once a cutout is made, the flush-mount adapter (with the tweeter installed) is inserted into the hole. The large plastic locking nut is threaded onto the adapter (from behind the mounting surface) to hold the complete assembly securely in place. When flush mounted, the tweeters may be angled for optimum response and imaging.
  • Starfish Mounting Brackets: The Starfish mounting brackets allow the tweeters to be installed in factory locations behind the grilles:
    • Surface Mount (behind grille panel): Once the Starfish bracket is trimmed, it is screwed to the mounting surface behind the grille panel. Then, the tweeter is inserted into the bracket and locked into place.
    • Flush Mount (behind grille panel): Once the Starfish bracket is trimmed, it is dropped into the cutout in the mounting surface behind the grille panel. Then, the tweeter is inserted into the bracket and locked into place.
    • Bottom Mount (to grille panel): Once the Starfish bracket is trimmed, it is secured to the underside of the grille panel. The tweeter must be inserted into the bracket and locked into place before the bracket is mounted.
    • Flush Mount (in-dash location): Once the Starfish bracket is trimmed, it is dropped into the cutout in the dash. Then, the tweeter is inserted into the bracket and locked into place.
