Install Infinity Reference 4022i 4" speakers in your car and change the way you think about long road trips and traffic jams. Reference speakers play your music boldly and cleanly, making your listening time more enjoyable.

Reference speakers feature low impedance so they extract full power from any amplifier or car stereo. Infinity makes their Plus One+ woofers 30% larger than other speakers in the same size category. As a result, you'll enjoy fuller sound and higher efficiency for an impressive performance.

The textile dome tweeters feature oversized voice coils that match the tweeters' diameter, a design that provides more surface area for heat dissipation and allows higher power handling. You can adjust the sound to your liking with the tweeter level control.

Important Note: These Infinity speakers use a low impedance design to pull more power safely from your car stereo or amplifier. This design is compatible with all factory and aftermarket stereos.

Great little speakers

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These little speakers are a great economical replacement speaker that FAR outperforms the OEM speaker. The bass is not strong, but who expects a 4" speaker to be strong on bass? I have always loved the accurate sound I have obtained from Infiniti speakers. I was not disasspointed this time either.

Infinity Reference 4022i

I have these speakers in the back hatch along with (2) 6022i Reference speakers in the front door and (2) 6022i Reference speakers in the back seat area in my 2001 Camaro pushed by a Pioneer 6300F amp and a Sony CDX GT520 receiver and it sounds incredible. For the entry level Infinity speakers these sound great and the improvement over the stock Monsoon system is amazing. Although I'm no audiophile I believe anyone installing these and not pushing them beyond their limits would be well pleased. If your not on a tight budget you might want to check out Infinity's higher line of Kappa's.

Great speakers for the price!!!

Written by: Austin87 from Poughkeepsie, NY on June 14, 2007

I just bought a 1998 Honda Passport LX. It has a great stock stereo, but one of the rear speakers was blown. There were only two speaker choices for my car. One set was Pioneer, and the other one was the set of Infinity 4022i's. Knowing Infinity's good name, I decided I would spend the extra money and buy the Infinities. I'm so happy I did. They sound great. The sound is rich and full. I was listening to the song "Pink Houses", by John Cougar. The guitar sounded like it was in my backseat. And the new speakers mixed with my tweeters up front is a perfect fit. Mind you, the tweeters are stock, but it still sounds great nonetheless. I love my new speakers, and installation was a snap. I would recommend these speakers to anyone who is on a budget, but wants great concert sound.

Product Research

Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency.

Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.

Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.

Textile Dome Tweeters: Each speaker uses an edge-driven textile dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs. A switch on the front of the tweeter allows you to boost the tweeter output 3dB, useful if the speakers are mounted low in a door where high frequencies are easily absorbed.
