Drink in the clean look, then enjoy the effortlessly clean sound of Infinity Reference 6002i speakers. The oversized Plus One+ polypropylene woofer cone is matched up to high-roll rubber surround and mounted in a deep basket for an ample supply of smooth lows.

Vivid stereo imaging relies on your speakers' ability to produce smooth, lifelike high frequencies in your car. The Infinity Reference series speaker uses a full edge-driven dome tweeter (often found in better home speakers), not the "W-dome" (or balanced dome) tweeter commonly found in car speakers. The tweeter's textile material offers extraordinary strength and supple intonation of high frequencies. The patented Unipivot design allows you to rotate the tweeter to direct high notes up to your ears.

The Reference 6002i 6-1/2" speaker handles up to 60 watts RMS. Grilles are included.

Why replace your car's original speakers?

The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.

Good Sounding Speakers

Written By Jacob, Greenville, SC on Tuesday, February 22, 2005

I got these 6 1/2's to replace my blown speakers in the doors of my '95 F-150. (By the way I've got a 180 watt JVC headunit.) Installation was a little difficult but wasn't too bad overall. I didn't bother to put on the grills on the speakers (though they did look pretty cool) because my door already had a plastic slotted grill. I'm very pleased with the quality of the sound. The tweeters give sufficient highs (i'll get a headache if the highs are too loud) and get pretty good bass once you play them for about a week and get them broken in. The overall sound is great, and the price isn't too hard on the wallet. I'd highly recommend these for somebody looking to upgrade the sound without wanting to spend a lot. -Jake

Currently have them as my rears and are powered by a Crossfire VR142. They are great speakers when matched with my infintity components in the front. I dont think it is necessary to power them by a seperate amp unless you need the higher volume output, as in a convertible. I could use a little more bass from them, but there only 6.5s so you really can't ask for more. For the price they exceed expectations.

Product Research

Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency.

Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.

Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.

3/4" Textile Dome Tweeters (UniPivot Design): Each speaker uses a 3/4" edge-driven textile dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs. The UniPivot tweeters are angled (non-adjustable) and may be turned up to 355 degrees for optimum imaging and in-car frequency response.

Note: The tweeters are not made to turn 360 degrees. If they are turned 360 degrees or more, they will be damaged.

Intermount III: Infinity's Intermount III mounting system allows the 6002i speakers to fit in 6-1/2" and 6-3/4" applications. A metal adapter ring is included with each speaker.
