(By the way I've got a 180 watt JVC headunit.) Installation was a little difficult but wasn't too bad overall. I didn't bother to put on the grills on the speakers (though they did look pretty cool) because my door already had a plastic slotted grill. I'm very pleased with the quality of the sound. The tweeters give sufficient highs (i'll get a headache if the highs are too loud) and get pretty good bass once you play them for about a week and get them broken in. The overall sound is great, and the price isn't too hard on the wallet. I'd highly recommend these for somebody looking to upgrade the sound without wanting to spend a lot. -Jake 9 out of 10 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? They are great speakers when matched with my infintity components in the front. I dont think it is necessary to power them by a seperate amp unless you need the higher volume output, as in a convertible.
