Features Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency. Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response. Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output. 3/4" Silk Dome Tweeters (UniPivot Design): Each speaker uses a 3/4" edge-driven silk dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs. The UniPivot tweeters are angled (non-adjustable) and may be turned up to 355 degrees for optimum imaging and in-car frequency response. Note: The tweeters are not made to turn 360 degrees. If they are turned 360 degrees or more, they will be damaged. Intermount III: Infinity's Intermount III mounting system allows the 6012i speakers to fit in 6-1/2" and 6-3/4" applications. A metal adapter ring is included with each speaker. Product Reviews Review this product Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences about this product. They were running off of my alpine deck, I also had an alpine sub and amp in the trunk. Great speakers for the price, excellent sound. If you will be running speakers off your deck, get these, if you want to run an amp with them, look into the polk db as well as these. I just purchased another set of these for my new car which has 6.5" openings all around. Very pleased. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 4 out of 5 Decent Speaker Written By randomsuper, miami, fl on Saturday, February 02, 2008 for the money, you definately get a lot. great full range sound and good sensitivity. i have this running off the factory upgraded headunit in my 08 xb and it does what it's supposed to. you lose some bass output, but what you are left with is tight and punchy. throw some subs on and you won't regret buying these. hook them up to an amp and give them the power they really need and you'll wonder how you ever did without them. again, a decent upgrade from a factory speaker if you're looking for more clarity, not bass! Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great Little Speaker! Written By td11pump, Bronx, N.Y. on Sunday, January 13, 2008 I have these speakers installed in my 2006 Chevy Express Van and just installed them in my 2006 Chevy Cobalt LS. The speakers play loud and CLEAR! I also have Infinity 9613i 6x9 speakers in the rear deck and a Pioneer DEH-P3900MP head unit. I also bought the factory Pioneer Subwoofer, which sounds great! I'm pushig the whole system with an Infinity 5350a 5 Channel Amp. All I have to say is these speakers are Excellent at reproducing the mids and highs for all music! I've read that some people said that these speakers don't produce enough bass and thats true. They were NOT designed to do this! These speakers give excellent coloring and overall warmth to the whole sound system. They reproduce the sound very accurately and handle the power from the amp just fine, even at very high volume levels! If you use these speakers for what they were desinged for, you'll be very impressed and happy you bought them and for the price, they perform better than some higher priced speakers of this size!. I would highly recommend them for the true audiophile! Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Very nice speakers Written By Brian, Spring, TX on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 I just received these speakers for Christmas (I asked for them). I had reviewed the specs of all the speakers in the catalog, and the sensitivity rating seemed very good. I've owned numerous Infinity products, and have never been disappointed. They rock! They are hooked up to a moderate powered amp (45 Watts/channel). I was concerned after seeing several reviews that were not very good. Believe me, they are nice. I am not running them full range, so maybe that's the problem with the bad reviews. They have the bass cut out, and a sub takes care of the lows. When you have them set up like this, you can't go wrong for the price. Hope that helps. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Here is what I found about these speakers: 1) The highs are clear. I hear instruments that I can't hear from my stock speaker. 2) The overall volume is softer. I simply call this speaker weak. 3) Many people are right. The speaker lacks bass. Of course you can hear some and you can increase the bass by adjusting the headunit. However, at the same volume, it puts out less bass and become easily distorted at high volume. Overall, I am very unsatisfied. It doesn't give me as full sound that I am getting with my stock speakers. I will definitely return these. It sounded like I was driving them into clipping even at low volumes on drum hits (like a "Pup-Pup-Pup" noise). I turned on the high-pass filter on my new unit to unload the low end and figured I needed a subwoofer if I wanted more bass. Now, after a couple weeks of breaking-in, they sound way better in the low end and I am no longer afraid to turn 'em up with the HPF off!
