Hear what you've been missing with these Infinity Reference component speakers. You'll hear subtle nuances and little details in your music that you may never have noticed before, as these speakers fill your car with bold, radiant sound.
The Reference 6030cs system features low-impedance 6-3/4" woofers, designed to extract maximum power safely from any amplifier or car stereo. Infinity uses oversized rubber surrounds to increase woofer cone area up to 30 percent over other speakers of the same size category. As a result, you'll enjoy efficient, increased bass output.
Mount the soft dome tweeters with a clear shot to your ears, and listen as a whole new world opens up in the tight confines of your car. Infinity includes its unique Starfish mounting brackets, so you can install the tweeters in a variety of factory speaker openings.
External crossovers direct the high and low notes to the proper speakers for great clarity and high efficiency. You can adjust the tweeter level for best performance in your vehicle. Let Infinity Reference components help you rediscover the fun of listening to music in your car.
Important Note: These Infinity Reference speakers use a low impedance design to pull more power safely from your car stereo or amplifier. This design is compatible with virtually all factory and aftermarket stereos.

Pros: Great sound
Cons: No longer available
Lots of detail. Sometimes I think I want to move the tweeters off-axis. Wish there was a -3db on the crossovers. Overall, though, they get oboe and clarinet right.
Pros: High Quality fit and finish. Great versatility in tweeter installation.
Cons: Strident at times.
I was sceptical about these after I ordered them, but couldn't be happier. Got them on a special Crutchfield was running, so saved quite a bit on the 2 sets. These are getting pushed by a 750w 4 chanel Kenwood that sends 90w to each corner (exactly what these are rated for). The woofers thump good for the mids, and the tweets are really clear on the highs. Big base is going through a separate amp pushing a 12" JL sub. System sounds great and would recommend these if you have the power to push them and mount them correctly. By the way, system is in a SUV.
Pros: Sound great with enough power to run them. Using an external EQ, and they take some tweaking with all of the genres that I listen to, but they respond well.
Cons: Gauge of wire that comes with the 6 1/2"speakers is pretty thin and cheesy. I put terminals on the end of my own 14 gauge that I had just run. Didn't seem like you could push 90w through the supplied wire. Covers on the crossovers are a pain to get off to get them mounted. Broke a tab on 2 of them getting them apart. I used 2 sets of these components, so luckily 2 of them are mounted behind rear panels with no covers.
Easy to install and clean sound
Great little speakers, the crossover has a +3bd booster for the tweeters that come in handy when blending the sound with a sub. The woofers have a tight bass response and no distortion off of a standard, non amplified, head unit.
Pros: Tweet boost on crossover, tight bass response
These are very good sounding speakers. Far better than the factory Bose that I had in my 2005 Avalanche. For now, I've only installed the woofer in the door and am still using the Bose tweeter in the A-pilars. I may eventually switch them out to the Infinity tweeters, but when I installed them, I didn't want to try to find a place to put the crossovers. I think the mid-range and mid-bass on these is great. They're Much more crisp and clean than the Bose. I can hear things in songs that I couldn't with the old speakers. Some of that may be a function of the new head unit I installed, but I purchased the speakers first and they made a world of difference even with the factory head unit.
Pros: Easy install, just had to drill 4 new holes. Great sound. Very clear. Excellent price for components.
Cons: If I had to pick a con, it would be the size of the crossovers. But, they're probably pretty typical.
What can I say, infinity stuff has always been great and it still is and gets better. Don't compromise. I'm lined all the way around with a 10 inch sub. 06 silverado. I mounted the crossovers under the stock grills, made a little harness so to ease door panel removed and drilled a new hole for the tweeters. I love the directional mout. They just are plain joy.
Pros: Knowing their stuff is going to be great so I can just concentrate on the job
Cons: Absolutely none
I originally purchased a cheaper speaker set but wasn't happy. The rep at Crutchfield recommended these and after installing them I was extremely happy. They deliver just what you need for door speakers at a very good price. Very clean crisp sound. I want to add this, the return of the old speakers to Crutchfield was very smooth, I'm very happy with the customer service.
Pros: Great sound.
Cons: The cover for the crossover was too hard to take off. I was going to mount it but didn't want to break it so I ended up just setting them in the door just under the arm rest. Worked out good though, I can just pop the arm rest off and access it but if you want to mount it, be careful you don't break the cover trying to take if off.
These speakers are awesome they have great sound quality. Girlfriend loves them
Pros: easy to install and great sound
bought to replace blown factory speakers. surprised at the sound quality with factory deck. good price and quality to upgrade from original equipment.
Pros: sound great
Cons: had to solder tweeter wiring to factory harness
Okay speakers. Should have went with Kappas!
Pros: Good highs
Cons: Speakers do not have good bass or mid range.
Really happy with this product. I was looking for better sound than factory, but at a decent price. Running the speakers off of an aftermarket double DIN Clarion they give a much improved sound. Add the adapters for the speakers and wires it was a painless install.
Pros: Great sound for value Great mounting options for tweeters
Cons: Don't know how they sound off of amp
You really can't go wrong with these speakers. Infinity has formed quite a name for itself and these speakers will not disappoint! The included cross-overs and tweeters are nice, it gives the set some flexibility meet the needs of your particular system or install. I installed these in all four doors of my 2008 Scion xB. This upgrade alone is worthless though without an amp or powerful head-unit to power them. My Alpine head-unit (at 18 watts RMS) proved to be plenty powerful to make this a considerably decent upgrade from stock! For my application I didn't even need the adapters that cruchfield provides, similar adapters are included in the box from Infinity, which I did use for the front doors, the rear was a direct mount in the opening (of course I had to drill holes to mount each speaker). I have only had these installed for about a week now, but so far I'm very pleased.
Pros: Powerful, versatile, mounting adapters included, tweeters included, cross-overs included. Great Sound, Crystal Clear Sound
Cons: Needs more power than your typical factory stereo can provide (for best results)
Such a great crisp sound. So Easy to instal! Recommend these to anyone great price
I ordered these speakers expecting an upgrade and got just that. As I was installing them I hit a few snags since my vehicle already had tweeters installed but I could not utilize the factory wiring for them. With one quick call to Crutchfield tech support and all was amazing. Thank you Crutchfield, I will continue to buy from you because of that.
Pros: Good sound, amazing tech support
great sound easy install
Pros: sound and price
Great product. The mulitple tweeter mounting options make this a great addition for those upgrading to components or just replacing an exsisting factory set. The crossover is thin enough to fit easily behind most door panels. The covers on the crossovers fit great which make getting them off a little difficult, just take your time. Would I would recomend this item to friends and family.
Pros: Great sound clarity, bright highs, with a full mid range sound.
Cons: Covers on crossover are a little difficult to remove and fragile.
I put these in my 2005 Chevy silverado with a stock Bose system. Great replacements and a great price.
Cons: Figuring wiring system.
No punch, even with 100w RMS going to them, Voice Coil on the driver blew after 2 years, only a one year warranty, pitifull for a $$ component set.
Pros: Came with a sticker.
Cons: No punch even when powered, cheep plastic mounting clips broke, voice-coil dead after 24 months of moderate use. Spend the same money on something better.
I have Infinity 6030cs in the front and Alpine Type-R's in the rear powered by a mf300 Alpine amplifier. The Type R's sound 10 times better than the Infinity 6030cs. About to replace them and have Type R's all around. They provide more bass and clearer mids and highs. Definitely worth the extra money
Pros: Overall good clarity. Really brings your music to life.
Cons: At mid/high volumes, the highs will make your ears bleed.
The clarity of the sound is fantastic paired with the JL audio amplifier and alpine head unit I used with the system. I knew these were bright speakers and chose the neutral setting on the crossover as well as a setting of zero for treble on the head unit. The speakers coupled with the JL audio 10" sub I used in a sealed enclosure powered by an Alpine amp complements the component speakers very well.
Pros: price, oversized speaker design
this is the first set of components i've purchased and i'm very happy! i installed these into my '02 honda es1 after blowing the factory ones. i have them powered by an alpine 3553 4-channel and 2 walmart co-axials in the rear. like many have stated before me, they don't produce the best lows, probably because they are for mids and highs. i have 2 infinity reference 311a's powering 2 audiobahn aw122t in a sealed box. after i installed the woofers in the factory spot in the doors i cut holes in the door panels for the tweeters. instalation was a breeze except for hiding the crossovers, that was the hardest part.
The base factory stereo system in the 2010 Mitsubishi Evolution is flat-sounding and just plain bad. I added an Alpine CDA-105 head unit, the Alpine Power Pack mini-amp, and these speakers to the car. The difference is like night and day - wow! Finally I can hear the nuances of the music I listen to. No longer did it sound flat and uninspired. Now it sounds bright and vibrant. I will recommend using these speakers with an amplifier though. Without an amp, you may not get the performance the speakers were designed for.
I had great stock speakers in my truck (components), but they don't even compare to these. The clarity is absolutely amazing and I can hear sounds I didn't even know were there. Unfortunately, the low end is not very good at all. You really have to get used to how overpowering the high end frequencies are. I don't really have room for a sub in my truck, so I'm a little disappointed they don't produce very much bass at all. 2005 Toyota Tacoma Access cab
I have this set in my 09 Lancer Ralliart. Blows the stock system out the water. I must say though that I don't have them hooked to an amp so they are getting juice from the headunit. I'm sure if I amped them they would sound a lot more clear. For the most part though they are really nice and I'm glad I have them. They are a little pricey and you can probably get the regular Infinity 6 3/4'' mids and then buy a set of tweeters for cheaper. I have Infinity speakers all the way around including subs and amp. You can't go wrong.
These speakers are just OK for the price. I got them for my Toyota Tacoma because they would fit in the front door (with tweeters installed flush in the panel). I installed the Infinity Kappa 60.9 in the back, and the Kappa's are way better, well worth the extra money. I would have installed those in the front if they would have fit.
I have a set of these in the kick panels of my S-10 reg. cab. The rest of my speakers, with the exception of the dash (4 X 6 Boston Acoustics) are Infinity. I have a set of Ref. Coaxials in the door along with 2 separate sets of Reference tweeters, one wired in line with the door speakers, mounted right above the speaker, another set in the sail panel, powered by the head unit. With the Alpine 40 X 4 (50 X 4 at 2ohm) amp powering the components and door speakers and having a Kicker 12 inch CompVT, powered by an Alpine 400 X 1 amp. all I can say is that the whole system sounds loud and clear. No matter how hard you run the system, it just gets louder and louder, no distortion. (Out of a top volume level of 35, I can get to about 32) Even though I'd like to run more power through the components, they sound loud with just the 50. I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a great sounding system. I'm sure you can spend more, but just how much better will those speakers sound? I'm sure these will suit anyone who's not looking for a competition type system and even some who are. I get stares everywhere I go, not bad ones either, usually curious ones. I know many with the window rattling systems who get dirty looks! You can't go wrong with the mounts for the tweeters, they get many compliments and look fantastic. I'll never own another car without Kick panel speaker mounts as well; makes a big difference.
These were installed in my 2005 Dodge Dakota. This were a night and day difference over my factory speakers. It was great that they came with the brackets because the factory speakers are 6 3/4 while these are 6 1/2. Fairly easy to install, but harder because i cut a whole approximately 1.5 inches big for the tweeters to be recessed in the doors. But i do believe that you can screw them on instead of recessing them, but it looks more "factory" when recessed in to the door. With average after-market speakers, you don't have a crossover or a separate tweeter, which is this was little bit harder to do. With the provided instructions that are vehicle specific, and the wiring harness made it easier. It sounded great. I only wish that they highs were not not overpowering, which i would rather have a little bit more bass. But thats what my subwoofers are for anyways. This is a great product.
I got these for $139. It was a good deal especially with the free brackets (a $20 value) for my truck and the factory wiring harness plus free shipping. The deal was great and shipping was fast. I have a 2010 tundra and they sound good. They are not the best component system i ever heard but you can pay more and get a better system but you could do worse. Overall i rated a 4 star because for what you pay you get what you should expect. They sound good. Good deal if you just want a better speaker system to replace the factory cheap speakers like i was doing. I was not making a competition system, just a upgrade so that the music will sound better and these will do that. Good buy if you want a upgrade.
for the price, well worth it. they sound awesome. took a little time to figure out how to install the tweets, but after that, it was a breeze. like i said in my 03 mdx, they sound much much better than the factory.
I purchased this set of components along with the 5" set to install in my '07 Tacoma access cab. These fit in the front doors of the Tacoma with the correct adapter. then you have to make a mount for the tweeter to install in the factory position. Eventually these will be powered by an external amp, new head unit, subs, and the new 5" components in the rear access doors, but for now I have these alone hooked to the factory CD Receiver. The sound is wonderful! Huge improvement over factory speakers, but more than that. The highs are superb, I was not expecting such clarity from such an affordable set of components. You could do a lot worse than to simply swap out your factory speakers with these. Highly recommended.
I bought these to replace front door speakers in a Chrysler LHS that had the Infinity II audio option. First let me say that the tweeters do not fit in the LHS. The LHS has its tweeters in an enclosure at the corner of the window. I could not figure out a way to fit these in that enclosure. Therefore, I was unable to use either the tweeters nor the crossover networks. Only the woofer. Another minor problem was that the wordless installation instructions had vague illustrations but with a little experimentation, I was able to figure out how to layer the multiple gaskets. The sound from these speakers are outstanding as one would expect from Infinity. Reproduction is crystal clear up and down the audio spectrum. They don't have the "thump" that their predecessors had but they do produce tight and true bass. I really like them. If, however, your replacing LHS, Concorde, or Intrepid front speakers, you can save some money by just buying the woofers alone.
I bought these as part of a system to replace the factory system in a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser, primarily because the tweeter is just about a drop-in replacement. I am very happy with the sound quality. Initially, I had them powered off of an aftermarket head unit, with a set of Infinity 2-ways in the back, factory sub disconnected. This basic configuration produced very good results. The components seem to be very efficient, and produce excellent results at all frequencies except in the lower bass frequencies. Then I added a 50x4 amp, and they really came alive. They sound significantly better than the factory system with the sub. I would be happy with this system as is, but will be adding a sub system shortly per my original plans. I expect to be even happier when they are properly crossed over and have some more low end in the system. I have heard complaints about the tweeters being harsh. I don't find them to be. I put them at the 0 gain setting, and I tend to tune the highs down a bit in the head unit EQ also, this may be why. I would definitely put these against more expensive components I have heard, and I think they produce bass a little better than most as well, if you won't have a sub.
These speakers sound great. My 2002 Chevy sliverado already had a seperate woofer and tweater but they were paired off of the same output. I pried the factory tweeter out of its plastic bracket and used a hole saw to make a mounting hole for the new tweeter in the original braket. I used the speaker pair connected to the woofer to feed the crossover and everything worked great. Leave the crossover set to 0db. the 3db setting is too tweety.
Wow! is the best descriptor. Factory Bose system. Fidelity and clarity are shockingly better. Norm is 'da man! He is the best audio salesman I have ever spoken with. He took time to understand what I wanted to do, about what I wanted to spend, and then knocked a "home run" on a recommendation. He didn't try to sell me more than what I wanted, or go off in a direction I didn't want to go in.

Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency.
Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.
Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.
Applications: Infinity's mounting system allows the speaker to fit in 6-1/2" and 6-3/4" applications. Plastic adapter rings are included for each speaker.
Tweeter Material: Each 1" tweeter uses an edge-driven textile dome for smooth, accurate highs.
Tweeter Mounting: The I-Mount tweeter mounting system and Starfish mounting brackets give you several different ways to mount the tweeters:
