Overview

Our take on the Infinity Reference 6032cf

Rely on Infinity to revitalize the sound in your car. Replace your tired-out, old factory speakers with Reference Series full-range speakers that'll play your music louder and better.

A wider frequency range

Rely on Infinity to revitalize the sound in your car. Replace your tired-out, old factory speakers with Reference Series full-range speakers that'll play your music louder and better.

Infinity Reference 6032cf 6-3/4" speakers feature a Plus One+ woofer design that packs more surface area into the cone so you get more low-frequency punch. Large textile dome tweeters project smooth, clean highs, and they're equipped with a level control so you can fine-tune the degree of brightness to match your taste. Large voice coils in the edge-driven textile dome tweeters allow for high power-handling.

Infinity makes sure that your installation stays stress-free by including Intermount III, a proprietary mounting system that allows you to install these 6-3/4" speakers in a variety of 6" to 6-3/4" factory locations. You'll also find adapters that fit many domestic and imported cars. Grilles are not included — factory grilles are appropriate for most installations, but optional grilles are available.

Note: Infinity describes this model as a 6-1/2" speaker. Most manufacturers designate this same frame size as a 6-3/4" speaker. For simplicity's sake we list it as a 6-3/4" speaker.

Important Note: These Infinity Reference speakers use a low impedance design to pull more power safely from your car stereo or amplifier. This design is compatible with virtually all factory and aftermarket stereos.

Installation Note: These Infinity speakers do not include screws or speed clips. You may be able to use the factory screws to install them, but it's always a good idea to have an assortment of self-tapping screws (5/8" to 1") and speed-clips on hand.

Priced per pair

The speakers are very clear and being able to angle the tweeter up towards your ears makes a big difference. Be aware you will need female slides because none come with them. Don't wrap it around the terminal like some reviewer did.

Good sound !!

2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced the speakers in my '12 Silverado last night with these Infinity Reference 6032 series and noticed a good amount of difference in sound. The original factory speakers sounded decent, but had muddy mid's and bass at higher volumes. These speakers have an option to click over from +0db to +3db to adjust the loudness in the highs to compensate for the distance the sound may have to travel to your ears depending on where your speakers are located. They sound well at all volumes, and I'm sure would sound better if I had a aftermarket head unit. I'm impressed over all with sound of the speakers. Maybe I am use to the factory speakers but it sounds like the factory had a better bass response. I will be adding either a powered sub, or sub and amp later on which will more than likely be Infinity products also. Overall, Infinity has been much better than my previous aftermarket speakers in other vehicles.

Pros: Good highs and mid's. Doesn't drown out at high volumes. Decent bass for factory head unit. Good solid construction with optional +0db +3db high selector.

Cons: Nothing really bad to say as of now.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Really good speakers overall. I've only had them for a week or two, but they have good bass and the tweeters sound really nice. I think part of this may be due to the fact that you can point them towards yourself, therefor the sound reaches you easier. Either way, good speakers. Not super-duper in any way, but very nice, especially for the money. definitely deserves 4 stars. Install was pretty easy. The bracket screws had to be drilled into the truck, but other than that, install was a cinch. Great choice for beginner upgraders like myself!

Pros: Good sound Easy Install Loud

Cons: Not "Booming" Install did require drilling small holes into truck body (Not visible or effect performance) Sometimes too loud

I've been using Infinity speakers for years and am never disappointed. Sound great with factory head unit, but add an aftermarket one and/or an amp and these will really come to life!

Pros: Great mids and highs, treble boost if needed, god bass response for its size.

Cons: none

awesome sound, lots of bass, needed tweeters in front pillars to round out high end though

Pros: punchy, plenty of bass

Cons: needed a little more high end, probably due to location low in the doors.

Installed these in the back doors of my 2012 GMC Sierra Crew Cab along with Infinity components (REF-6500cx) in the front doors. I have the tweeters at +3db on the 6032cf. The combo is amazingly clear! I feel I totally got my monies worth! So much better than factory speakers. I am still running my factory non-Bose receiver.

Pros: Low, mid, and high CLARITY!

Cons: None. They keep getting better the more I play them.

Completely satisfied. Great Sounding Speakers. I wanted some 6.5 speakers with some bass and despite the reviews being back and fourth on the quality of the bass i was impressed with the thump these speakers produce. I first installed a $100 pair of JBL's and these things blow them out of the water. I did install them in a jeep with and infinity 2ohm system which i think is important to add since these are 2ohm speakers. Overall couldn't be happier.

Pros: Fast Shipping. Great Sound, Great Bass.

Cons: None with the speaker, although i did find them cheaper on other websites the metra screws they send are all super long, so i went and bought smaller ones

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought a used Nissan Xterra and the speakers sounded horrible. I decided to upgrade the entire sound system. Kenwood-KMM-BT315U head unit, Pioneer GM-D9605 amp, Sirius XM tuner, Image Dynamics ID10 sub, JBL GT7-5 for front speakers and these Infinity to replace the 6x9's. After about a month the speakers are holding up and sound amazing. With the bass nob for the AMP turned down and the volume up the speaker is loud and clear. With the volume up some distortion does happen but not much. It still handles most music. I would go with these speakers again.

Pros: Sound great, comes with bracket,

Cons:

These are GREAT!!! 10 stars, if possible!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've heard several Infinity systems in a couple of cars and trucks that had them as an upgrade option. They all sounded good at lower levels but I never was impressed by any of them. I was looking for a pair of 6.5" for my rear door speakers in my '08 Silverado and noticed these on sale for a great price. The stock rear door speakers had NO treble and very little midbass/bass so I figured that the Infinity's would HAVE to be an improvement. PLEASE believe me when I say that I was blown away by how well these speakers sound and now have plans to replace the front door speakers and pillar tweeter with an Infinity component set. I went from not being a fan to a true believer in as long as it took me to install them, which with the instructions Crutchfield supplies only took 20 minutes for both. Highs are crystal clear and adjustable, mids are the best I've ever heard and the lows are impressive from a 6.5" 2 way. Don't just buy a set.....BUY 2!!!

Pros: Great sounding highs, mids and more bass than you'd expect from a 6.5"

Cons: None whatsoever!

These speakers exceeded my expectations, and continue to impress me every time I listen. Mine are installed in the lower front doors, and the pivoting tweeters allowed me to direct the stereo image up to ear level. These speakers are accurate, loud, and produce deep, tight bass. Do yourself a favor and try a set or two. You won't be disappointed!

Pros: Stellar audio reproduction, top-notch construction

Cons: None

Cons: Take the time to review everybody's ratings though and don't buy the first thing that catches your eye. You might do like I did and have to send the first speakers you find back only to find out that another 20 or $30 you can buy fabulous speakers.

Great sound for the price. Get a little distortion at higher volume. Made the mistake of mounting them in boom mat baffles which gave the speakers a flat freq. responce and NO bass. I removed the baffles and was amased at the clean sound and even good bass for a 6-3/4" speaker.

Pros: Good freq. response high to low. Like the +3db switch on the tweeter.

Cons: Dont overdrive them.

Pros: Strong, well performing speaker that covers the spectrum of sound I require. Great value and great service from Crutchfield

Cons: Crutchfield's instructions could be a little more detailed; that would help a rookie installer immensely.

I bought these speakers because they were reduced off the original price, also the 1in tweeter that can swivel and with the tweeter att. Switch. These speakers are worth every penny, even if i paid full price i would say you got your moneys worth. The highs are clear, the mids are full and the bass has a great punch for the speaker size. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade. Theres alot of folks on here saying this speaker has no bass, im an audiofile and have built many systems and heard lots of differnt speakers and my professinal opinion is that anyone saying these speakers lack bass are wrong. They probably have no idea how to use the equilizer on there deck. Once i got these installed and adjusted the equilizer they sounded amazing. Only took me 2 min or less to do this. For the speaker size you wont find anything with a tweeter in it that will produce more bass. I gave this speaker 5 stars and it deserves 6... and fyi Crutchfield provided every piece of mounting hardware needed.

Pros: Cost Highs Mids Bass Its the total package!

Cons: None... great speakers

After having issues with my front door factory speakers, I replaced them with these. These are definitely an improvement. They deliver crystal clear highs and a surprisingly decent amount of bass. I kept my factory radio unit; these speakers would definitely be better with an aftermarket.

Pros: inexpensive, clear sound, good bass, great factory replacement, compatible with low ohm factory settings, extra switch to boost tweeters (if desired)

Cons: low ohm (which may or may not be compatible with your vehicle's default amp/settings), no grille

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Performs as well as I expected, pretty decent for the price. No loss in volume compared to old speakers at all. Of coarse the music sounds way better they replaced some old factory speakers. Bass (not base) output is what I expect from this size of a speaker. It's there but your skull isn't going to rattle. I will say the pivoting tweeter is a really nice feature but the boost switch on it only makes ice pick highs on my system. I'm using an old 120 watt rms x4 Infinity amp for them.

Pros: Pivoting tweeter

Cons: Tweeter boost switch just creates ice pick highs to my ears . Not really a downfall at all though since it might work for your system. Overall worth the money easily still.

Installed in front door of a 2007 Chevy HD2500 crewcab (new body style) with factory stereo... I read some reviews about NO bass but I think those were type of vehicle / placement problems.. Good bass & SUPER sharp highs!!! if anything they lack a bit of mid range... Very efficient with the factory head unit... ONLY reason for a 4 Stars is I have nothing to compare to except one rear factory spkr and the front factory's have not worked for a while and ANYTHING would sound good compared to nothing.... Showing my age , I used to install car systems in the late 80's early 90's for a major chain but it has been a LONG while since I have installed anything and everything Crutchfield included brackets , wires, & install guide was SPOT ON..!!!

Pros: VERY efficient, GREAT HIGHS,, good bass Good price @ $75... SALE

Cons: Maybe lacking some mids..

I installed these in my 2003 Maxima. At first I drove them with just the head unit (A SONY MEX-N5100BT). They sounded very good. Then I hooked up a Clarion Mobile Electronics XC1410 amp. It's a small amp, but boosted the RMS considerably. I must say that the speakers which sounded very good without an amp sounded excellent with an amp. I did have to drill holes to mount the speakers, but that wasn't a big deal.

Pros: very good sound with head unit, great sound with just a small amp, can adjust the tweeter

Cons: none that I see. great speaker for a great price (when on sale)

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these Infinity speakers to replace the factory ones in the doors of my 2007 FJ Cruiser. I had done this previously on a Tundra and I knew it would make a difference. I have to say the the OEM 6x9 speakers were upon close inspection after removal just plain pathetic with a magnet about the size of a stack of six quarters. I love Toyota's but I was less than impressed. The Infinity's on the other hand were robust in manufacture and the quality was evident. The Crutchfield team sent exactly what I needed and everything was packaged securely. I did go to my local Lowe's to purchase the additional hardware I needed and personally I prefer that to it being supplied as every vehicle is somewhat different. I am particular about my FJ so I wanted it to be a clean install. I mounted the speakers to the bracket supplied by Infinity added the Boom Mat and mounted it all to the bracket supplied by Crutchfield for a solid package. The only adjustment I made was to the wire harness lead as I had to swap the Positive and Negative to match to the Toyota plug. The whole component bolted right into the factory fittings on the inner door shell where the crummy factory speaker resided. I like the Boom Mat for the added protection it affords in water crossings. The difference in sound was very obvious and I am pleased with the results. I was looking for a cleaner sound overall and I might add to the system at a later date. I have told many people about the value Crutchfield provides.

Pros: High quality speaker, clean sound and a good value

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these 6032cf speakers to replace the factory door speakers in my '12 GMC Sierra. I am completely impressed with the sound quality. The imaging, clarity, and frequency response are amazing. The tweeters in the A-panels are completely surpassed by the highs from the 6032cf speakers mounted low in the doors. I am so impressed, I just ordered another set to replace the Polk speakers I ordered from Crutchfield 10 years ago for my other vehicle. I would certainly recommend these speakers to anyone wanting to upgrade from stock or to run with amplification.

Pros: Outstanding sound quality and a perfect fit with the supplied adapters for fit and wiring from Crutchfield.

Cons: No mounting screws are provided with the Infinity packaging, so be sure to have some on hand before installing...

I always use these in any upgrade. Tried other brands and they have sounded more muddy. These have the best crisp highs and mids I have heard for any speaker without going to separate components. No need to with these. They are weak on bass but I have always felt that acoustics have been to blame.

Pros: Crisp highs

Cons: Weak bass

An Ideal Speaker For 2013 Silverado Work Truck

Written by: ScotWm from Union City, CA on September 15, 2013

2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado Regular Cab Work Truck with no power options in the doors. After installing the Infinity Reference 6032cf speakers in the doors, I turned on the Delco factory radio and played some 244 kbit MP3s. Initially, I was not impressed -- there was a definite increase over the factory speakers in midrange and treble, but bass was lacking. This made me think back on reviews that stated these speakers have little or no bass. However, after putting the door panels back on, these speakers produced bass and lots of it. Apparently, each door panel acts as an eight square-foot soundboard. In spite of Infinity's specifications, these speakers can produce considerable volume at 30 Hz. with very low distortion. With the radio tone controls set to flat, balance set to center, rear speakers turned off and volume set at 20, I noted the following sound level readings using pink noise: 30 Hz = 88 dB, 62 Hz = 91 dB, 125 Hz = 90 dB, 250 Hz = 86 dB & 500 Hz = 77 dB. My low-end door panels have no insulation or padding and that may explain why they add so much to low end sound. Different door panels may produce different results. However, for low-end Silverado and Sierra owners, these Infinity speakers can be a huge improvement over the factory door speakers.

Pros: Installed perfectly with Crutchfield-supplied Speaker Mounting Brackets and Crutchfield-supplied Speaker Wiring Harnesses. Rotating tweeter has +3db switch, but I prefer leaving it set to flat. Vehicle warning and operating sounds emitted through driver door speaker (key in ignition and fasten seatbelt chimes, turn signal blip etc.) were far less audible through the factory speakers. Now, they are much easier to hear with the Infinity Reference 6032cf.

Cons: No mounting hardware included. I used 1/2" long, 1/8" screws with washers and nuts. Total cost was about $4.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought these speakers for my girlfriend's 2005 Cobalt sedan. The front factory speakers were completely shot and I needed something that would deliver crisp and powerful sound and these things did not disappoint. They also pack plenty of bass while maintaining that clear sound.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are FAR better than stock. CJ, my product advisor said these would be best for my car, because they don't "crave power" like polks. The installation took 2 hours, but this was my first time putting in speakers. The only thing was, I had to soder some wires to the speakers, but that wasn't a pain. The main thing was I had to make the rings slightly bigger to fit the adapter in all 4 screws. I thought it rattled when I put these in, but it turned out that there was an Altoids tin in the door.

Pros: Great sound and better than stock.

Cons:

Great product for the price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought these when they were on sale, as recommended by Larry in customer service. These sound really good using the stock head unit. These Infinty's replaced stock BOSE speakers. In my opinion, the BOSE are just AC DELCO speakers with a BOSE sticker on them. Install was easy, although I didn't use them, the Master Sheets appered to be clear and concise.

Pros: Adjustable directional tweeter

Cons: Screws not included

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Infinity speakers sound great. I installed them in my wife's truck and they are so superior to the factory junk that was in there. She is very happy as am I. I have never been dissatisfied with a Infinity product.

Pros: clarity, volume level for given level of power (signal to noise ratio)

Cons:

Base below par.

If you are replacing factory speakers be prepaird. The hi freq sound is great but these speakers have no base punch at all. I'm relying on my rear speakers by setting the fade control respectively.

Pros: High frequency response is great. Watch how you position the tweeters during the install. They are at an angle and the speaker can be mounted so they point up if near the floor on the door for better response.

Cons: My factory originals had a better base response.

No hardware, no connectors

Written by: Jason from Killeen, TX on March 3, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Infinity did not include any mounting screws or terminal connectors. Of course the screws from the old speakers had a built-in washer that made them too big, and I had 3/16" connectors but not the 1/8" for the negative terminal; so instead of a quick drop-in, I had to make a trip to the store and wound up spending half the afternoon getting the speakers in. Would it have killed Infinity to include 2-sets of terminal connectors and screws with clips?

Pros: speakers sound OK.

Cons: Infinity cheaped-out on install hardware.

Only good if you have a sub

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am a cheapskate with an Impreza, and I replaced the stock front speakers with polk mm651s, and the rear with Infinity 6032cf's. I am still using he stock head unit with no aftermarket amp or a sub. The Infinitys were clear in the high end, but had no bass whatsoever. Replaced them with db651's (I've had polks before in home systems and vehicles) and I couldn't be happier. Very full sound, even at the bottom end. I listen to rock (the who, zeppelin, kyuss, local h, blue oyster cult) and these handle that type of music well. If you're into rap, get a sub and the infinitys would be fine. If you're cheap and still wanna rock, these are great. Really wish I could have put in 4 mm651s, but advisor says they don't fit in the rear doors.

Pros: Clear high end

Cons: NO low end

Great sound and reasonably priced. Really disappointed they did not have the pigtail wires to connect the stereo wires to the speakers. It was a minor inconvenience but I had to search around to get wire terminals to hook them up.

Pros: Great sound.

Cons: no pigtails to connect the wires to the speakers.

Great Speakers for the money

Written by: Saab900 from St. Louis, MO on August 5, 2011

I put these speakers in both the doors and rear side panels of my 1995 Saab 900 convertible. With the stock head unit, these speakers did their job very well. With the aftermarket head unit and subs, they do even better. They get plenty loud, and sound very clear and articulate with many types of music. I would definitely buy them again.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers are a great upgrade for my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx. I've always thought the stock speakers and sound system in my car were pretty darned good for a factory system, and I appreciate good speakers. These speakers were like a paradigm shift - the bass is much tighter, and the highs are surprisingly clear. It may sound like a cliche but my Norah Jones CD now really comes to life with where before it was kinda muddied out. I was apprehensive at first about upgrading but was surprised by how easy the whole process was. Crutchfield really made the difference. Doc and Levi both vectored me to this speaker because of their low impedance and ability to handle the low power coming from the radio - further, they recommended these for the directional tweeter since the speaker is low on the door. A+ to both of these guys - they could have sold me speakers that cost a lot more $$$ but they didn't, and the performance is awesome as promised. These speakers also plugged right in to my Malibu without any adapter plates - just as they said they would.

Really Good Sound For the money

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Infinity Reference 6032cf speakers really pump out good sound. I replaced my factory front and rear speakers with these and I am impressed. If bass is what your looking for these are decent but not all that strong. These speakers however have incredible highs and mids and sound great for most types of music. Too really get the most out of these speakers you need an amplifier, without one the difference is night and day.

Installed in 2005 Matrix, had to drill screw holes to mount as none of the adapter rings would fit. Original speaker mounting had a plastic mount that spaced speakers out of door panel. Speakers are extremely close to glass when rolled down (speaker wire actually caught between glass and speaker magnet, but was okay after careful routing of wires. Speakers sound great, been using for 1.5 months would purchase again.

I put a couple of these in my FLH and replaced the 5.25 in. speakers. These speakers are a match for the Harmon stock 2 ohm radio. Simply put, they match the amplifier and really kick at 80mph.

A+ mid level speakers

Written by: Ram from Lufkin, TX on May 9, 2010

These speakers are very crisp and clear. I bought these and they fit perfectly with room to spare. I got four of these for my 2001 Honda Accord. The highs are so high that they over power the base. Obviously no one buys 6 1/2" speakers for base so it's not a problem. I am getting an 8" sub to complement these. They crackle at high volumes with just a head unit. I think my JVC KD-HDR20 head just isn't putting out enough power to these tweeters and as a result they crackle. I plan on getting an amp in the future to solve this issue. Great speakers!

These speakers sound great. When installed with the matchin set of 4x6 rear speakers, it is like being in the studio. Crisp and clear mids and highs. The switch for the tweeter is nice to have if the highs are just a little to much.

Features

Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency.

Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.

Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.

Textile Dome Tweeters (UniPivot Design): Each speaker uses an edge-driven textile dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs. The UniPivot design allows the tweeter to be pointed at the listeners location even when the speaker is mounted off axis. This optimizes the stereo image and ensures a more uniform response. The tweeter housing can be turned approximately 315 degrees.

Tweeter Level Control: A switch on the front of the tweeter allows you to boost the tweeter output 3dB, useful if the speakers are mounted low in a door where high frequencies are easily absorbed.

Mounting: Infinity's mounting system allows the 6032cf speakers to fit in 6-1/2" and 6-3/4" applications. Plastic adapter rings are included for each speaker.

Optional Grilles: The speakers do not come with any grilles. Optional grilles (108REF6032) can be purchased separately.

True Four Ohm Impedance Technology: The speaker's 2.0-ohm impedance combined with the impedance of your speaker wire provides a true 4-ohm load to your connected headunit or amplifier.
