I replaced my factory door speakers with these and they beat them old ones in every way. Except, the crucial bass department. I know these aren't subs but come on my factory cheapies played way lower and louder. These infinitys bottom out so quickly and I am not even pushing them hard at all. The 2 ohm setup was the deciding factor but I nearly returned these. I have to turn my headunit bass down in order for me to enjoy them. Even the install brackets supplied by crutchfield weren't that easy to install. I might even say they don't fit without a little work/modification. They are great examples of exactly what they are advertised to be, just not anything more. You can't fault them for that. Pros: Obviously there's a great deal of high end capability in these speakers...no question about their ability to reproduce the high notes. Cons: At first the bottom end was "very" disappointing and the mid range was muddled (twss!), but after giving the speakers a chance to break in, the bass has gotten much more solid and full. We anticipated having to use the installation adapters Crutchfield included with our order but were under the impression that these are designed to actually work. They don't. The screw pattern on the adapter does not line up with the pattern on the door (thereby requiring you to drill holes in the door) but more importantly the screw holes on the speaker themselves overlap the adapter such that there is no way to screw the speakers onto the adapter. Basically the Crutchfield adapter is made to be so generic that it is rendered useless. The much talked about "Crutchfield Mastersheet" was a generic, useless document that only provided directions on how to remove the door panel. 4 out of 5 great speakers Written By steven, new york on Thursday, January 26, 2012 can't believe the sound that comes out of these speakers! crystal clear, thumping bass. was going to go with the polk speakers but the crutchfield associate said they wouldn'thave a clean fit and mentioned these speakers as the next best option and would slide right in perfectly. and he was right.. had a friend of mine put them in flawlessly and directions for putting them in were on point. at first i had the speakers working off my factory radio on my 98 nissan maxima while waiting for a part to put my sony xlpod radio in i already had and they sounded great. sounds even better working off the sony. can't go wrong buying these speakers for the price. you get all the directions and parts you need. just do your homework first before you just go buy them without any help to make sure they are a good fit.. 3 out of 5 Hardly any bass response Written By Miguelito, hawaii on Saturday, January 21, 2012 Overall a decent set of speakers that provide good clarity and great midrange sound. I replaced my factory door speakers with these and they beat them old ones in every way. Except, the crucial bass department. I know these aren't subs but come on my factory cheapies played way lower and louder. These infinitys bottom out so quickly and I am not even pushing them hard at all. The 2 ohm setup was the deciding factor but I nearly returned these. I have to turn my headunit bass down in order for me to enjoy them. Even the install brackets supplied by crutchfield weren't that easy to install. I might even say they don't fit without a little work/modification. My 2003 325i now at least has clean sound until you turn it up a bit. Pros: 2ohm impedance Factory match Cons: Bass response is very weak 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? These speakers do not come with mounting screws which I thought was the only flaw. Sound quality is better than the factory installed speakers they replaced. Cons: Does not come with mounting screws. 5 out of 5 Good speaker - breaks in well Written By Brett, Roswell, GA on Saturday, November 26, 2011 These are not the speakers that are going to undo your need for a subwoofer to complete your speaker package. I was hoping that in the small confines of a 2-seater they would stretch a little lower in the frequency range, but where they're rated is what they can handle - nothing but distortion past that point. They are great examples of exactly what they are advertised to be, just not anything more. You can't fault them for that. Pros: Obviously there's a great deal of high end capability in these speakers...no question about their ability to reproduce the high notes. Cons: At first the bottom end was "very" disappointing and the mid range was muddled (twss!), but after giving the speakers a chance to break in, the bass has gotten much more solid and full. 5 out of 5 Infinity Reference 6032si Written By MarkO, South Brunswick NJ on Sunday, October 16, 2011 I installed 4 of these in my 2010 Nissan Murano and I'm glad that I did. The high end is 100 times better with nice mids and a punchy low end. I also added a sub to round out the bass.(Highly Recommended) The system is really like night and day. 1 out of 5 BEWARE Written By Unhappy Customer, Cypress, Texas on Friday, August 26, 2011 These speakers do not fit the 2004 Toyota Sequoia as Crutchfield advertises they do. We anticipated having to use the installation adapters Crutchfield included with our order but were under the impression that these are designed to actually work. They don't. The screw pattern on the adapter does not line up with the pattern on the door (thereby requiring you to drill holes in the door) but more importantly the screw holes on the speaker themselves overlap the adapter such that there is no way to screw the speakers onto the adapter. Basically the Crutchfield adapter is made to be so generic that it is rendered useless. The much talked about "Crutchfield Mastersheet" was a generic, useless document that only provided directions on how to remove the door panel. A call into Crutchfield support did not yield ANY useful information. All in all a very disappointing experience. 6 out of 25 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No
