Cutting-edge Infinity Kappa 62.5i 6-1/2" speakers are the complete car speaker package! Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (C.M.M.D.) drivers, constructed by bonding an aluminum cone to two layers of ceramic, are lightweight, durable, and extraordinarily accurate. The C.M.M.D. Plus One woofer cone is approximately 30% larger than other 6-1/2" speakers, thanks to a unique basket design and hi-roll rubber surround that generate impressive bass while minimizing unwanted resonances.

You may aim the Unipivot C.M.M.D. tweeter to deliver high frequencies straight to your ears — for optimum stereo imaging. Voice-matched 2-way crossovers ensure that frequencies are routed to the appropriate driver, so the woofer and tweeter operate as efficiently as possible.

Why replace your car's original speakers?

The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.

I had these speakers professionally installed in my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee powered by a MTX Thunder564 (70 watts per channel). I bought two pair for front and back. I did NOT have the factory infinity speaker system. I replaced the standard factory speakers. I also have a Rockford fosgate 9220 deck. While the new speakers are very clear even at high volumes, the lows were not as low as the original speakers were. I played with the bass and amp settings and the lows are just not low enough. I wanted to go with a nice set of speakers to avoid having an attractive nuisance in my truck. However, I think I would be better off leaving it alone. Therefore, unless you do not have any speakers do not mess with something that is not broke.

These bad boys rock. The highs are precise and clear. The lows are solid and precise as well. I paid full price for these and they are worth every penny.

Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (C.M.M.D.): Infinity's C.M.M.D. technology delivers accurate performance with dramatically reduced distortion for incredibly lifelike sound. Additionally, the C.M.M.D. drivers can withstand extreme temperatures, moisture, humidity and sunlight.

C.M.M.D. Plus One Woofer Cones: These speakers use cones approximately 30% larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency. In addition, the C.M.M.D. cones virtually eliminate coloration due to cone flexing, resulting in less distortion and superior accuracy.

Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.

UniPivot C.M.M.D. Dome Tweeters: Each speaker has a 1" C.M.M.D. dome tweeter that offers superior stiffness and damping compared to traditional metal domes. The UniPivot tweeter is angled (non-adjustable) and may be turned up to 355 degrees for optimum imaging and in-car frequency response. It is not made to turn 360 degrees. If the tweeter is turned 360 degrees or more, it will be damaged.

2-Way Crossovers: These speakers include computer-optimized, voice-matched crossovers. Each crossover features an 18dB/octave, 3.5kHz high-pass network for the tweeter and an 18dB/octave, 3.5kHz low-pass network for the woofer.

Crossover Connections: Each crossover has an 11" input lead terminated with bare wire and two 18" output leads, one for the woofer and one for the tweeter, terminated with female quick-slides. The positive woofer lead has a 0.205" female quick-slide and the negative woofer lead has a 0.110" female quick-slide. The positive tweeter lead has a 0.250" female quick-slide and the negative tweeter lead has a 0.187" female quick-slide. These quick-slides connect directly to the woofer and tweeter terminals on each speaker.

Crossover Dimensions: L=3.458", W=1.734", H=1.087"

Adapter Rings: These speakers come with three different mounting adapters. The adapters allow the speakers to be installed in a 6-1/2" opening, a 6-3/4" opening, or an oversized 6-3/4" GM/Chrysler opening.
