I put a pair of the Infinity plate speakers in the dash of my Jeep Wrangler. It seems that this is a strange place to put speakers but the Jeep Corporation made room for these speakers to be placed in the dashboard.

I took full advantage of these "built-in" spaces with special mounting brackets provided by Crutchfield. Everything fit perfectly, the speakers sound fine and work well in the location for which they were intended.

The Crutchfield advisor (Marie) was very helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed to complete the job. Kudos for Marie and her knowledge.

I will be a returning customer and I highly recommend everyone to be sure to use CRUTCHFIELD first.

These speakers sound great in my 91 Chevy truck. Very Clear and precise. They do however distort at a certain (Very High)volume or if you send it to much bass, in other words use the bass blocker on your head unit or buy some. If anyone has looked into these for their full size Chevy truck and Crutchfield says they don't fit, well they are right. I really wanted these speakers and if you get creative they WILL fit. I had to shim the dash on the front passenger side and my hammer helped widen the hole in the rear. In other words, Go for it you will not regret it, especially if you match them up with a good amp and run all new speaker wire like I did.

Great sounding speakers, had modify mounting plate for dash but that was easy. Well worth it in sound quallity.

Excellent in the mid to high frequencies. Use bass blockers to avoid distortion. For the price, a great deal!

These Speaker were a replacement for my factory speakers in my Malibu. They sound great with my Kenwood receiver. The highs are crystal clear and for a 4" speaker they put out decent sound at lower frequecies. They were also a breeze to install with the materials and master sheet provided free by Crutchfield.com

Crutchfield's "Outfit My Car" somehow recommended this to me when I was explicitly searching for component speakers. So I quite surprised when I got the small package in the mail. After installation of the passenger's speaker, I compared them to the stock driver's speaker and couldn't hear much difference in the bass response and only slightly more clarity in the mids and highs. Was a little disappointed...
However, like all aftermarket speakers, the only real test is to put them both in and turn the volume up LOUD and see how much they can handle. By this test, they blow my stock speakers out of the water. My JVC deck is powerful enough to put some serious power into these, and their bass is a perfect mix with my Pioneer 6x9's and 10" sub in the back.
Fitting 3 speakers in one case makes them much smaller than just fitting 1, so you shouldn't expect much of them alone as there's not enough space for a good mid-range or low-range speaker. I still feel the need for two more mid/high range speakers to fill out the soundstage, but I'm satisfied for now.
Recommended IF you have a balanced system that already has good bass.
NOT recommended IF you want to use these alone. Get bigger speakers for that.
Note on install - the wire connectors are almost impossibly short for my '99 Chevy Malibu, likely for other cars as well.

Bought as replacements for the dash speakers in my '99 Wrangler Sport. I also installed a set of Bass Blockers recommended by Crutchfield's customer service. Installation was incredibly easy with the included hardware. These speakers are very clear and have enough dB to power over the road noise associated with a Jeep, so the should do well in any vehicle. I can turn my stereo all the way up now without any distortion.

Awesome sound from these little speakers. Replaced some very tired and worn out 4x6's in my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. Big upgrade in sound. As expected, strong highs and weaker bass, but still a huge improvement on the stock models. Crutchfield's kit worked wonderfully for install, only hitch was the screws for the adapter plates did not fit and had to go to the hardware store for replacement screws. Still an easy install...besides the trip to the store it took about 30 minutes top to bottom. Won't complain...still made life way easier than trying without their included kit.
