The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience. You probably spend more time listening to music in your car than in your home. Why not enjoy home speaker sound quality when you're on the road? Infinity Reference 9613i 6"x9" speakers feature silk dome tweeters and supertweeters that would be right at home in your living room speakers. These sweet-sounding domes deliver crisp, clear response, yet won't fatigue the ears. Infinity designed their Plus One+ woofers with more surface area than other 6"x9" speakers, for higher efficiency and improved bass output. A sturdy rubber surround suspends the cone in its non-resonant powder-coated steel basket. Settle into the driver's seat and make the most of your daily drive time with the exceptional sound of Infinity Reference speakers. Features Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency. Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response. Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output. 1" Silk Dome Midranges: Each speaker has a 1" edge-driven silk dome midrange. 3/4" Silk Dome Tweeters: Each speaker uses a 3/4" edge-driven silk dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs. Written By Art, Juneau, AK on Saturday, May 03, 2008 Bought these to replace some flat sounding marine speakers. Since my boat is fully enclosed and heated, it is actually less hostile than a car left outside so I wasn't worried about weathering. I like Infinity speakers and these lived up to my expectations; they sound great, far, far better than the marine speakers they replaced. Then I fired up the boat and turned on the instruments. Even though the closest is 3'+ from my compass, the compass went nuts. The compass could "feel" these speakers from 10'+ away, so forget using them in most boats. My truck just got new rear speakers. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great Speakers! Written By td11pump, Bronx, N.Y. on Sunday, January 13, 2008 I installed these speakers in my 2006 Chevy Express Van in the rear doors in 2007 and they sounded great. I also have 4x6 6422cfp in the rear, 6.5 6012i in the front and 2 1242 subs in a sealed bass box, all Infinity. I'm pushing the whole system with an Infinity 5761a 6 channel Amp. They give great mid bass and complete the highs in this big van. With that being said, I installed them in my 2006 Chevy Cobalt LS! They are outstanding in this small car! They give great bass response and the highs are clear as a bell! I also have the infinity 6.5 6012i in the front doors. I bought the factory Pioneer Subwoofer to complete the system. I am pushing the whole system with an Infinity 5350a 5 channel Amp! The 6x9 are well worth the price and perform excellent! I would highly recommend them! Was this review helpful?
