You crave high-performance bass, but you don't want to use all of your available cargo space to get it. The master designers at Infinity put the same state-of-the-art technology that distinguishes Infinity speakers into the BassLink amplified subwoofer, so although it takes up just one cubic foot of trunk space, it'll produce resounding bass in any vehicle.

The BassLink brings together a 10" subwoofer, a 10" passive radiator (to increase efficiency and limit distortion), and an extremely efficient, specially designed 200-watt Class D amplifier that work as an integrated system. Special circuitry monitors voice coil position to maintain linearity at high power levels, so you hear loud, clear bass.

An array of controls will enable you to tweak your bass until it has just the thump you want. For optimum system blending, the low-pass filter is variable between 50-120 Hz (12 dB per octave), and a phase switch (0- or 180-degrees) is included. Adjust low bass impact with the bass EQ feature (-6 dB to +3 dB at 40 Hz). And you'll be able to put BassLink in a variety of in-vehicle locations, thanks to brackets that enable the rigid polymer box to be mounted vertically or horizontally. A wired remote with 16-foot cable allows you to adjust your BassLink's volume from your dash.

Who needs a powered subwoofer?

To produce bass, you need a sub, an enclosure, and an amplifier, and it can be little tricky to match them all up. A powered sub eliminates all the hassle, as the manufacturer designs the enclosure to house the sub and amp together. This all-in-one solution is especially useful in smaller vehicles, where there's no room to mount a separate amp, or in any vehicle where you need every bit of cargo space. Powered subs range from small, flat boxes that fit under your seat to larger boxes that go in your trunk.

Features

Design: The BassLink brings together a 10" subwoofer (treated paper cone, foam surround), a 10" passive radiator (to increase efficiency and limit distortion), and an extremely efficient, specially designed 200-watt Class D amplifier that work as an integrated system. Special circuitry monitors voice coil position to maintain linearity at high power levels, so you hear loud, clear bass.

Enclosure Type and Materials: The enclosure is made of an acoustically inert polymer which is rigid enough to resist flexing and dampens any resonance.

Servo-Control: The servo-control system continually monitors the performance of the speaker and ensures that the amplifier delivers exactly the right amount of power.

Class D Amplifier: This unit has a built-in 200 watt Class D amplifier which is highly efficient and designed specifically for use with the subwoofer and passive radiator combination.

Auto Turn-On Feature: When the speaker level inputs are used, the system will automatically turn on and off with the radio. Note: The auto turn-on feature does not operate when the preamp level inputs are used, unless the remote turn-on lead is connected.

Low-Pass Crossover: The low-pass crossover frequency can be varied from 50Hz to 120Hz for a seamless transition between the output of this unit and that of the other speakers in the vehicle. The crossover has a slope of 12dB per octave.

Bass Boost: The amplifier includes a continuously adjustable bass boost from -6 to +3dB centered at 40Hz.

Phase Switch: Allows you to select normal or reverse for best bass.

Mounting: You will be able to put BassLink in a variety of in-vehicle locations, thanks to its compact size and mounting feet that enable the rigid polymer box to be mounted vertically or horizontally.

  • Vertical Mounting Dimensions:
    • Width: 14.625"
    • Height: 13.375" (including feet)
    • Depth: 8.675" (10.076" including feet)
  • Horizontal Mounting Dimensions:
    • Width: 14.625"
    • Height: 9.5" (including feet)
    • Depth: 12.75" (15.1875" including feet)

BassLink LC Remote Level Control

Overview: The BassLink LC allows you to adjust the volume of BassLink powered subwoofer.

Installation: The BassLink LC may be mounted under the dash or may be dismantled and mounted inside the dash for a factory appearance.

  • Under-dash Mounting: Select a mounting location that allows easy, safe access to the control while driving. The BassLink LC has mounting "ears" to use as a template for drilling pilot holes. Attach screws through the "ears" to secure the BassLink LC to the mounting surface.
  • In-dash Mounting: Disassemble the BassLink LC by removing the Phillips-head screws on the front, rear, and top panels. Remove the bottom and side panels and disengage the RJ11 connector from the back panel. Choose a mounting location that allows easy, safe access to the control, and provides 1-3/4" clearance behind the mounting surface. Drill a 9/32" hole in the mounting surface. Feed the BassLink LC's potentiometer (with the knob removed) through the hole and use the nut provided to hold the control in place.
  • Connecting to BassLink: Route the cable behind the dash or other interior panels and under the carpet. Do not route the cable outside the vehicle. Connect the cable on both ends.

Inputs and Controls

Inputs:

  • Universal Interface: Front and rear, left and right Universal interface speaker-level inputs (for use with the supplied speaker-level input wiring harnesses)
  • Line Level RCA Inputs: Front and rear, left and right female preamp level inputs
  • +BATT (+12V): Gold-plated screw terminal, 0.350" wide
  • REM (remote turn-on): Gold-plated screw terminal, 0.350" wide
  • GND (ground): Gold-plated screw terminal, 0.350" wide
  • Fuse: There is an installed 20 Amp fuse
  • Remote Gain Control: Phone type jack for included remote gain control

Controls:

  • Gain Control: Rotary control that sets gain (variable from 250mV to 4V)
  • Crossover Control: Rotary control that sets the low-pass crossover point (variable from 50 to 120Hz)
  • Bass Boost Control: Rotary control that sets bass boost level (variable from -6 to +3dB, centered at 40Hz)
  • Phase Switch: Selects normal or reverse phase (0 or 180 degrees)
  • Power LED: The power LED glows red when the BassLink is on
  • Servo LED: The Servo LED glows green when the servo circuit has determined that the woofer has reached maximum excursion and power to the woofer has been modified to provide maximum performance. The LED should light momentarily during high-level bass transients. Note: Avoid adjustments that cause the LED to remain lit for an extended period of time

Inifinity basslink

Written By Jeep, Colorado on Thursday, January 22, 2015

Didn't want to rattle the windows and back out sheet metal screws, just wanted to augment the low end. Worked like a champ.

Pros: Size, brand, I've always liked Infinity speakers. Ease of hook up.

Cons: Adjusting knobs for gain, boost and cross over are a little small and you can't easily see where it is set.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Gives out a great sound and the right amout of power for any size car. With the remote control feature you can easily adjust the volume of the bass for each song for during the song to make it easier to here people talk.

Pros: Get sound, easy install, good price when on sale

Compact, powerful, precise, adjustable.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Awesome sound, easy install.

Pros: This device has excellent sound quality and is highly customizable and tunable. Installation is relatively easy because of the built-in amp. Relatively small size for a sub, so it was easy to tuck into a recess in my trunk.

Cons: If you tuck it too deep into the space, the two mounting screws on the far side of the unit are impossible to get to. I suggest marking the holes on a template, drilling all 4 holes and then installing one pair of brackets first, then clipping the unit with the second set of brackets attached into the first set and screwing down the second set of mounting screws. Now I play my stereo much louder than I used to. I can't help myself. My wife knows how long I sit in the driveway listening to tunes.

All you need for bass

Finished off my sound system in my Wagon with this. I think give you the right amount of bass without it over doing it and making you car rattle

Pros: Easy all in one small trunk friendly decent bass

Cons: Not a good deal if you get it at full price. Wait for discount price.

i have had it installed for 9 months now. its ok. not real booming or anything. when the polk audio 6 1/2's in the doors put out more bass you know its just ok. i have the sound ordinance under seat 8'' powered sub in my other 2 work trucks and am much happier with them for $80 less.

Pros: ummmmmm, its a powered sub? it looks nice.

Cons: nothing special here.

Great Bass....While it Lasted

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

To start, I want to clarify that I'm giving this product 1 star since it started malfunctioning after 5 months and completely quit after 8 months. Running it at half power on most days, I don't feel I overloaded it's capabilities. I'm currently waiting on Infinity to honor their Warranty policy, so hopefully I got a lemon. But based on a general online search of this product, it seems common. I can't give it a better rating, but do have some quality details to include in case you find a Basslink that lasts.

I drive a '01 Honda Civic LX and replaced all factory items with upgrades thanks to Crutchfield (who's customer service has never let me down, nor is poorly reflected due to Infinity's product). The Basslink when added to a Kenwood Excelon KDC X395 head unit and Kicker speakers (Kicker 40CS54 5 1/4" and Kicker 40CS654 6 1/2") sounded AWESOME in my car. I typically listen to rock, hip hop, alternative, club or dubstep on any given day. The sub added the much needed low tones and thump I was looking for to complement the Kicker's clarity on high tones. I rarely increased the attenuator past half way since I got sufficient boom in my small space. The unit fits great in the Civc's trunk while leaving plenty of space for luggage and golf clubs.

Unfortunately the unit started randomly popping and shutting off at 5 months even though all connections and adjustments were solid. It recently just stopped producing even though power is still good and connections secure.

Pros: Easy to install Small footprint for space saving in a limited sized trunk Adjustable attenuator for easy control of bass Big boom and deep tones for a small unit.

Cons: My unit died after 8 months with reasonable usage (not overloading the unit's capabilities)

Just the bass I needed

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Added a new radio and speakers to Chevy Equinox. Needed something easy to install to add more bass. This was the perfect addition. The Infinity BassLink provides the perfect amount of bass needed to feel the music.

Pros: Easy to install. Sounds great. Can feel the bass!

Cons: None

Excellent bang for your buck!

The Infinity BassLink combo is where it's at no doubt. It's not to loud and it's not to quiet. Plus it's small enough where u still get to keep your trunk especially with the built in amp. Perfect for a hatchback or sedan. Definitely worth your Benjamin's!

Pros: Built in crossover that has a 50 to 120Hz sweep Freq response 20 to 120Hz Easy to install and easy to tune Great for a first system

Cons: Haven't had any problems yet..
