Our take on the Infinity BassLink T

Have you been waiting for the right way to add meaningful, high-quality bass to your truck or SUV? Wait no longer! The Infinity BassLink T takes the features that have made the BassLink such an incredible performer, and puts them in a rigid polymer enclosure that'll fit neatly in most SUVs, trucks, or hatchbacks. At less than 15" high and 7" deep, this compact amplified subwoofer takes up minimal cargo space!

Fire up the built-in 250-watt Class D amplifier, and check out the rich, powerful bass produced by the 10" subwoofer in tandem with two 10" passive radiators — it's sure to make your music sound massive. The BassLink T connects to any type of system (thanks to its speaker- and preamp-level inputs), and can be tuned to perfection using the variable low-pass filter, bass boost, gain control, and phase switch. If you lease your truck, this sub will add serious slam to your factory system — without any modifications. A remote is included.

Features

Design: The BassLink T consists of a 10" subwoofer, two 10" passive radiators, and a 250-watt Class D amplifier housed in a rigid polymer enclosure, all carefully engineered to work together as a unique, integrated system.

Enclosure Type and Materials: The enclosure is made of an acoustically inert polymer, which is rigid enough to resist flexing and dampens any resonance.

Class D Amplifier: This unit has a built-in 250-watt Class D amplifier, which is highly efficient and designed specifically for use with the subwoofer and passive radiator combination.

Auto Turn-On Feature: When the speaker-level inputs are used, the system will automatically turn on and off with the radio.

Note: The auto turn-on feature does not operate when the preamp level inputs are used, unless the remote turn-on lead is connected.

Low-Pass Filter: The low-pass filter frequency can be adjusted from 50 to 120 Hz for a seamless transition between the output of this unit and that of the other speakers in the vehicle. The filter has a slope of 12 dB per octave.

Bass Boost: The amplifier includes a continuously adjustable bass boost from -6 to +3 dB, centered at 40 Hz.

Phase Switch: This switch allows you to select normal or reverse for best bass response.

Remote Level Control: The supplied remote level control allows you to adjust the bass level from anywhere in the vehicle. The remote level control can be mounted under the dash, in the dash, or on any flat surface that allow for safe operation while driving.

Mounting: Infinity's BassLink T has been developed to deliver great bass in pickup trucks, SUVs and hatchbacks. Its low profile design allows it to be positioned in the confined space of a pickup truck, or behind the rear seats of a hatchback or SUV. The BassLink T should be secured to a solid mounting surface using the supplied mounting hardware. There are multiple indentations along the mounting flange. These allow for different screw locations, depending on your vehicle. If your particular application does not allow you to secure the lower portion of the BassLink T, please use the supplied mounting feet, which give you the ability to secure the enclosure to the floor of your vehicle.

Note: The indentations along the mounting flange do not have pre-drilled screw holes. So, you will have to drill holes into the appropriate indentations when mounting the enclosure.

Connections

I installed the basslink in a stock 2000 Chevy Blazer. Installation was a breeze, except of course for the 8 gauge power wire (firewall issue). After hooking everything up, I was amazed at the bass it produced. If you're expecting a lot of thump, this is not really your sub. If you want low end, everything rattles growl, this sub will definitely do the job! I would recommend to anyone!

Infinity BassLink T

Written By Mike C., Benton, PA on Wednesday, July 27, 2005

This system is fantastic. I was having a problem with figuring out what to put into my brand new Monte Carlo SS. I first tried swaping factory speakers but my factory speakers where 2 ohms (big problem). So unless I wanted to void my warrentee and remove all my stock stuff, I'm stuck with factory. Then I went with Basslink T and what a difference. Simple installation, all I had to do was run a power wire, ground, and I clipped/splice clipped the speaker wires that are supplied to my factory 6 x 9s in the back and it was ready to go. If you want a system thats easy to install and delivers extreme bass, try this one.

I have a 2005 f-350. I have built enough speaker/sub boxes in my day. When i got my truck and had issues finding a decent sized box, then finding a decent speaker that would fit into that box. I gave up. Yeah this guy is wuite expensive, lot more then i wanted to pay, about double actually, but its a good quality sub with great control, great sound, AND IT FITS BEHIND THE REAR SEAT! yes you will still need to trim the lining off the back wall of your cab, but its no big deal. I would recommend this sub if you are at a point like me, and are tired of spending the time building boxes, or you want a great sound sub without spending the time looking all over the net.

Very nice bass

Written By Justin, Tampa, FL on Wednesday, January 17, 2007

I got this sub. It sounds great and you can feel it pounding your chest. I put this in my 98 ford escort because the door and rear deck speakers weren't giving me enough bass and the basslink t really does the job. This won't rattle any cars around you but it will definitely rattle your car.

Great Sub for a TIGHT fit.

Written By Joel, San Bernardino, CA on Monday, September 04, 2006

This enclosure is AWESOME! It pounds A LOT louder than I expected it to. I was just looking for something to hit better than the factory 8" Rockford Sub, and not sacrifice my back seats in my 2002 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. I'ts an extremely small space behind the rear seat in this truck and REALLY hard to find anything that will fit back there, and even harder to find an enclosure for it. The rear seat latch had to be spaced out about an inch, and the jack had to be relocated under the front seat, but it was definately worth it.

This sub isn't going to shake the car next to you, but will definately hold its own. Definately more than you'd expect at 250 watts. Hits really low bass notes, and fits in a really tight space. I would definately recommend this sub to anyone that has VERY LITTLE room to work with.

Basslink Thunder

Written By TED, Ft . Lauderdale, FL on Tuesday, November 01, 2005

I picked the Infinity Basslink T for my Toyota Highlander Hybrid. With limited space for the 3rd row seats to open and unknown electrical options.
Large enclosures and power hungry amps were out of the question. The performance is outstanding with clean solid bass you can feel pounding your body.
It was a perfect match for the premium JBL sound system.
Impressive performance from a compact enclosure and no extra amp to install.
Excellent choice.

Infinity BassLink T

Written By Dan, Charleston, SC on Saturday, December 16, 2006

I drive a 2004 GMC Yukon with the premium Bose system. The stock sub was not getting the job done, so I put one of these in the rear hatch area, right behind the 2nd row seat. It sounded great at first, but overtime, a big rattling problem generated. I had a big problem detecting it, but I finally figured out it was the plastic enclosure itself.

I tried sound matting and insulation, but it doesn't work since it's not anything in my car shaking. It's the enclosure itself. After two months of the problem getting worse and worse, music is no longer enjoyable since literally the rattling is as noisy as the bass.

Paying $500 for something that is just a few inches thinner than a traditional box is absurd. Listening to something rattling in the car all day is not worth the few inches of cargo room it saves. I have learned that ported enclosures will always be better than these "10" passive radiators".

The type of bass you get from your component subwoofer doesn't depend on the woofer alone. You'll need a strong, tightly constructed enclosure for optimum subwoofer performance.
