Hideaway high-performance sound

Infinity bookshelf and tower speakers have long been known for their precise detail and spacious imaging. Now you can enjoy the same great Infinity sound from speakers that hide away in your ceiling. The ERS 610 features a powerful three-way design utilizing a rectangular MRS (Maximum Radiating Surface™) flat-panel mid-bass transducer, dual 3" midranges, and a 1"  dome tweeter — all of them made of Infinity's rigid, lightweight CMMD (Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm) driver material, ensuring accurate response. The MRS mid-bass drivers' flat, pistonic motion delivers cleaner, more uniform sound than conventional cones for exceptional detail and resolution. The tweeters proprietary waveguide design disperses sound evenly throughout your room, for impressive imaging.

Product Research

Features

3-Way In-Ceiling Speaker: With technologies derived directly from the acclaimed Infinity Cascade Series, the ERS 610 in-ceiling speaker features a patent-pending 7.75"x3.375" MRS flat-panel mid-bass driver, dual 3" CMMD midrange drivers, and a 1" CMMD-dome tweeter with an integral waveguide, all mounted in a unique baffle that is optimized for home theater performance and superior off-axis response, so everyone enjoys the movie or music soundtrack.

Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (C.M.M.D.): Infinity's C.M.M.D. technology delivers accurate performance with dramatically reduced distortion for incredibly lifelike sound. Additionally, the C.M.M.D. drivers can withstand extreme temperatures, moisture, humidity and sunlight.

Maximum Radiating Surface (MRS) Flat-Panel Transducer: The flat pistonic motion of the ERS 610's MRS mid-bass driver sends a cleaner, more uniform sound to your ears than that of conventional cones, for exceptional detail and resolution.

Waveguide Design + Tweeter Level Control: The ERS610' tweeter incorporates a proprietary waveguide design to ensure smooth distribution of sound throughout the listening area. You can use the speaker's tweeter-level control to slightly boost or cut the tweeter's output, depending upon the room layout, construction, and furnishings.

Built-in Back Box w/ Paintable Grille: The ERS 610 includes a back box for smoother bass performance, and can be adjusted for placement near walls or corners. The grille and flange can be painted, allowing this speaker to match any decor.

Boundary Compensation Control: This control is designed to be engaged when positioning the loudspeaker within 2' of another surface to eliminate the bass peak caused by the second surface and to maintain a smooth, natural bass response.

Spring-Post Speaker Terminals: The ERS 610 in-ceiling speaker is fitted with spring-post speaker terminals that will accept bare-wire (up to 12AGW), pin-connectors, and banana plugs (single only).

Mounting Options: The ERS 610 features mounting clamps that swing out to securely grip your wall from the inside. This speaker requires a cutout of 11.375", with a depth of 5.625" (including the thickness of the drywall). Once the hole is cut, the speaker can be dropped in and the locking tabs can be tightened, allowing you to secure the speaker to the drywall without any extra assembly.

Note: An optional rough-in frame (IW10R RIF, sold separately) is available from Infinity for use in new construction installations before drywall is installed.
