Legendary sound

Infinity's Kappa 10.11t 3/4" tweeters continue in the tradition of this legendary line of speakers, bringing you impressive sound quality. Once installed, these tweeters will bring out every nuance and detail in your favorite music tracks, making time spent in your car seem more like a concert than a commute.

Large soft dome tweeters

If you're looking for natural-sounding high frequencies, these edge-driven 3/4" soft dome tweeters are a great candidate for your system. The edge-driven" design creates a larger tweeter that handles more power and delivers smooth response way down into frequencies not covered by smaller "W"-shaped domes. You'll hear a more clearly defined soundstage where you can picture the placement of every instrument.

Infinity includes hardware for surface- or flush-mounting the tweeters, plus Starfish brackets that help you install the tweeters in many factory tweeter openings. The included external crossovers send the appropriate frequencies to the tweeters to protect them from damage.

Great for any system

These 2-ohm tweeters are sensitive enough that you can power them with an aftermarket stereo, but you'll get your best results feeding them plenty of power from an outboard amp — up to 50 watts RMS.

Installation note: You'll need a pair of our universal backstraps to install these tweeters in the factory locations.

Still yet to unleash their full potential. I only have them hooked up to the factory radio which is sub par, but hreat sound either way. Ive never been disappointed with Infinity

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The crossover has compression screw terminals, but the tweeter wire has pre-attached blade terminals which must be cut off and stripped so they can be attached to the crossover terminals. Stupid design. They should have included the proper size spade terminals to attach to the crossover. The tweter volume is reduced by more than half when the crossover is attached. I just may remove it entirely.

Pros: Includes many options for flush, surface and tilted installation.

Cons: Very low output when crossover is used.

Great Sound!

Still yet to unleash their full potential. I only have them hooked up to the factory radio which is sub par, but hreat sound either way. Ive never been disappointed with Infinity

Pros: Great sound, small package. The retrofit was easy

Cons: For the price I wish they would have came with a crossover or bass blocker

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these and the Alpine SPS-110TW, they were recommend by Norm from Crutchfield. After trying them both out at different spots I decided to keep the Infinity. I am not an audiophile so I couldn't tell a whole lot of difference. I thought the Infinity's had a little bit more of the highs that I was looking for. I ultimately kept them for the look, reputation, and the size based on where I was putting them, top corners against my windshield. The box came with lots of attachments for different location placement. I thought the alpines were a little harsher. Infinity is also know for great tweeters, from what I am told and the Alpines were the S series which is the lower grade I believe. Great addition to my system as I haven't had tweeters in my system ever. Put in Toyota supra running off an alpine amp, paired with (4) 4 inch mids and a 15 inch kicker comp sub. 4 inchers are about to get replaced with 5 1/4 in the back and either the same or 6 1/2 in the doors.

Pros: smaller to fit my location lots of attachments for different locations reputation sounded great good crossover

Cons: finding a place to put the cross over although it isn't huge higher cost with the name

I have a set of infinity kappa 6 1/2 component speakers in rear deck of my grand am the tweeters are custom mounted in the rear door pillar molding hooked to a sound ordinance amp it sounds great I have a 12 in alpine sub in trunk . Put kappa tweeters in front door mirror cover molding right where stock tweeters are located , sounds great. Going to add a sound ordnance amp to front end and it will be awesome . Thanks Crutchfield. My system sounds better then any I have ever had

Pros: Great sound. , comes with numerous mounting options . , would not hesitate to buy kappa again

Cons: The cost of the speakers put them out of range for a lot of people

Speakers sound great. Overall a good product. However, it said it fits my 99 4 runner but that wasn't the case. Had to construct my own bracket for these to fit.

Pros: Sound awesome

Cons: hard to mount.

Excellent sound

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great crossovers, so I don't have to worry about them over played. I added this pair to an existing Kappa system and mounted them high above me. I am just immersed in crystal clear sound. Love it.

Pros: Soft dome, so they aren't harsh. Great quality. Great sound.

Cons: Not the cheapest on your wallet!

Good but not great

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I'm still getting used to these tweeters. They have good, clean, crisp sound, with little distortion, but their output/volume is low compared to other tweeters I've had. Tweeters, per se, are not supposed to be "loud," necessarily, but these are soft even for what I expected. Otherwise, I like the way they balance out the mids/lows, creating a fuller, more enjoyable sound stage.

Pros: Crisp, clean, clear

Cons: Low output

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am completely satisfied with this product. I have the pleasure of enjoying the performance promised by the product's manufacturers beyond my expectations and expect to never have to replace these tweeters any time soon unless the model to come of course promises better performance.

Pros: Size and applicability.

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these to upgrade my 2011 Chevy Silverado "post" mounted factory speakers, which were very shrill sounding. I was able to remove the old factory speakers and install the new ones using double sided tape. I am very pleased with the results. Extremely clean sounding. Gives a distinctive brightness that my system did not have. I can now hear sounds that I never knew were there. I changed out the door speakers with the 2ohm Infinity Kappa speakers. Coupled with a Clarion 4 channel class D compact amp and Clarion EQ from Crutchfield, All I can say is what a difference.

Pros: Very high quality. Comes with a variety of surface and flush mounting options. High quality crossover included.

Cons: A little pricey but well worth the money spent.

I useed them to replace blown Jeep tweeters in 1998 Grand Cherokee. I used origional mounting plates and altered them a little for the Kappa's. Easy swap and sound better than expected. I'm happy

Pros: Small and shallow. Fit in a small recess. Cross over is also small and fit under dash trim.

Features

Edge Driven: The 3/4" edge-driven tweeters use textile soft domes. An edge-driven tweeter has better dispersion characteristics and allows for a lower crossover frequency than typical tweeters of the same size, which improves imaging. The result is improved vocals and musical clarity.

Tweeter Mounting: The I-Mount tweeter mounting system and Starfish mounting brackets give you several different ways to mount the tweeters:

  • I-Mount Tweeter Mounting System: The tweeters can be surface or flush mounted with Infinity's innovative I-Mount system:
    • Surface Mount: Surface mounting the tweeters involves screwing the surface-mount cup to the mounting location, then inserting and locking the tweeter into the cup.
    • Flush Mount: Flush mounting is made easy through the use of the threaded flush-mount adapter and plastic locking nut. Once a cutout is made, the flush-mount adapter (with the tweeter installed) is inserted into the hole. The large plastic locking nut is threaded onto the adapter (from behind the mounting surface) to hold the complete assembly securely in place. When flush mounted, the tweeters may be angled for optimum response and imaging.
  • Starfish Mounting Brackets: The Starfish mounting brackets allow the tweeters to be installed in factory locations behind the grilles:
    • Surface Mount (behind grille panel)
    • Flush Mount (behind grille panel)
    • Bottom Mount (to grille panel)
    • Flush Mount (in-dash location)
