Vehicle manufacturers don't put much thought into stock stereo systems, and it shows. Uninspired vocals, muddy cymbals, and flabby bass are dead giveaways that you've got stock speakers. Install a set of Infinity's Primus PR6502is 6-3/4" speakers in your car and you'll notice a world of difference. Lifelike vocals, crisp cymbals, and well-defined bass await you, and cruising around town will be more enjoyable as you get pulled into your favorite tunes.
Infinity used technology from their popular Primus home speakers to design car speakers that offer strong performance without breaking the bank. A 3/4" edge-driven, textile dome tweeter broadcasts smooth high frequencies while the oversized, Plus One+ polypropylene woofer creates solid bass. The speakers' 3-ohm impedance safely draws extra power out of your factory radio, aftermarket stereo, or an external amplifier, so you'll get a little more punch from your system. Grilles are included.

Average Customer Review(s):
These speakers are a great replacement from factory. I recently purchased my vehicle used, and previous owner replaced factory with cheap replacements. These sound 1000x better. They lack depth due to not a lot of low end, but a nice 300 watt sub combo from Kicker did the trick.
Pros: Easy to install thanks to Crutchfield's install instructions, sound quality
Cons: Lack of bass response, but is punchy.
Excellent for the price.
Pros: Sounds great for the price point.
Cons: Could be more friendly to install.
Very good midrange and high frequency detail. Bass is relatively weak.
Pros: Clarity and detail of sound
Cons: Anemic bass
Excellent upgrade to stock Jeep JK Unlimited system. Can't wait for dual subs and amps to fill out the package.
Pros: Easy to retrofit, esp with Crutchfield harnesses and adapters.
Cons: Adapters don't work with overhead sound bar. Used Infinity grilles and drilled new holes. Also, in front location, ground off factory box tabs and screwed adapter to box but still had to drill new holes for speaker. Looks factory installed so all is good.
Installed in rear doors of a 2005 Jeep Liberty along with butyl based sound deadening material. Straight forward install, the supplied adapters worked fine. Set my high pass filter at 50hz so these aren't getting more than they can handle.
Pros: Clean bright sound. More bass than other reviews led me to expect. Well matched with the Infinity Primus PR6500cs components I put up front.Got them on sale!
Cons: Had to adjust my EQ. ;)
Amazing sound and amazing quality!
I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty, which has funky speakers with a built-in amp. When I bought the car a couple of years ago, the sound system didn't sound very good, and I replaced the factory unit with a JVC receiver. It didn't sound much better, and I determined that it was the speakers that were the weak link, but I was reluctant to replace them because they were expensive hybrids. I've lived with distortion and rattle since then, but when the power window broke and I had to fix that, I thought I'd give the speakers a shot, as I'd seen a YouTube video on how to do it. I called Crutchfield and the representative looked them up and told me the factory speakers were 2 ohm. He searched a bit and found these, which are 3 ohm. He said they'd be compatible. I said "let's do it." I spent Saturday afternoon replacing the window motor and the speakers. I put the door panels back on, turned the key, and turned the volume knob. These things sound so clean and magnificent! I just want to drive around listening to the stereo. Road Trip! Speaker are an "A," Crutchfield's assistance is an "A+."
I bought these after chatting with a Crutchfield tech as an upgrade to my factory speakers. What a difference! The factory units sounded tinny with very little bass response, and these Infinity's make up for those deficits.
Pros: Great price and sound quality; Infinity name; fit perfectly with supplied bracket.
These speakers are a good replacement for the factory Infinity Gold system in Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles, front and rear doors.
Pros: Easy install, (minor drilling)
Cons: These speakers are great, but; If I had a con, I wish the tweeters could pivot upward instead of being in a straight fixed position.
Quality is fair, for the price works great, a little better than original manufacture speakers. It has some distortion, and more when it gets louder... great for an adult, maybe not the best option for a teenager partying...
Pros: Cheap, good package, includes screws, and easy to install
Cons: Not the best quality sound of the world. If I wouldn't have to remove the door panels again, I will buy something a little better.
Easy install (front & back) and sound quality is second to none!
Pros: Sound is incredible. Caution:: If listening to a live album, you might actually think you're there and forget that you're driving!
Cons: No cons with the speakers themselves. Saturn's design of speaker placement is a bit convoluted, but easy enough.
Pros: Easy install ,great service from crutchfield
These have the sound quality I have come to expect from Infinity, especially on the high end. It's slow breaking them in with only a factory head unit, but they are already a pleasure to listen to. They are plenty sensitive and loud, but nice and clean. Installation in both front doors and rear deck was quite easy in my 2011 Accord with the adapters and pigtails provided by Crutchfield. All in all, it took me about 1.5 hours.
Pros: Low price, high value High efficiency
Cons: Could have a little stronger bass, but respectable considering factory amp.
much crisper cleaner sound than stock speakers
Pros: nice amount of bass with aftermarket head unit and small amp. break in is only about a week. Better all around compared to stock speakers
Cons: none that I have run into
A great set of speakers for a great price.
Pros: Clean bass. Easy to install.
Cons: Didn't need the mounting bracket though.
I have a 2009 Colorado w/crew cab. The front speakers only required drilling but the opening in the back doors were much to small to fit the 6 3/4 speakers. I had to get the grinder out cut some sheet metal. It only took an extra 15 min per door. Would have given a five if not for this.
Pros: The sound is awesome with a fair price.
Cons: Only having to cut the rear doors but not a huge deal besides it gave me an excuse to use my grinder and release some stress.
These were a nice upgrade to the stock speakers. The LX does not have the tweeters in the top corner of the door, and I suspect that the EX might just have the same speakers as the LX, with the addition of the tweeters. The biggest improvement was the high end, which is to be expected going from 1 way to 2 way speakers. The magnets were a good bit bigger than stock, and these had a little bit better low end, with a good bit more punch and clarity down low. If you want a big boost in the weak low end of the stock system, it's probably best to add an amp and subwoofer. Overall a good improvement and worth the price. The installation was a bit tricky. The adapter rings did not line up well with the slots and hole in the door. You have to push the top down maybe as much as a 1/4" to get the bolt started. When this happens the ring becomes oval, and the bolt head prevents the speaker from being screwed into the pre-drilled holes of the adapter ring. So I ground the head of the bolt at an angle so the rounded edge of the speaker could get closer, and I drilled another set of holes in the rings. I also wanted to seal the ring and put some caulk or something to prevent rattles. The tube of caulk I had was dry so I used some roof patching cement. This is gooey tar like stuff that while very messy, did a good job of preventing rattles.
Pros: Great high end, fairly good low end. Good clarity. A very noticeable improvement over stock (especially in the LX).
Cons: Adapter rings need some modification to work. May not be the best option for low end, though not much can be expected from 6.5s and a stock head unit. It'd be good to find a comparison to find the best low end for 6.5s, for those of us who want the best low end without going with an amp and subwoofer.
Easy to install in stock speaker hole, thanks to Crutchfield's mounting brackets. Sound is impressive from a door rear mounted speaker. Crisp highs, but not harsh or painful. Accurate voice and orchestral instrument reproduction. Great for the price!
Pros: Sound, ease of install, efficiency, faithful reproduction.
Cons: Will not thump, but hey, this is a 6" door speaker. So, that's what the upcoming sub install is for :-)
I n stalled these in the front doors of my 2004 Grand Caravan, replacing factory speakers. Sound is fantastic from lows to highs for this level and size speaker. Installation was a snap using the included adapter, hardware and instructions.
Bought these to replace my door speakers on my stock GMC Sierra Crew Cab 2007 - All four door speakers were toast. Read several reviews and with the free harness and adapter that Crutchfield provides it was a no brainer. Watched a couple of online videos on How to take door panels off and I went at it after work on a Saturday. 2 Hours later I was and have been enjoying much improved from stock sound. I obviously did not break the bank buying these mid range fairly inexpensive speakers, but for the stock Stereo and CD unit from GM they are Fantastic...I am a happy camper!! I now have 4 functioning speakers an my stock high range tweeters in the a Pillar still work fine. Recently took a 14 hour trip to North Carolina and the sound was awesome. Very happy with my Cruthchfield / Infinity experience .....Thank You!!!
Pros: If I would have known it would have been so easy I probably would have upgraded, as my inside of my doors are in great shape.
Cons: Probably should have added more of the padded insulation tape around speaker edges to avoid bass reverberation which I fear will be coming when things loosen up?
The sound from the stock speakers in my 2012 Honda CR-V was well.terrible! I spoke to a representative from Crutchfield who suggested the Infinity Primus PR6502is as replacements. I purchased 2 pairs for front and rear replacement and I could not be happier! Install only took about an hour, the included adaptor rings and wire harnesses made the job much easier. The sound went from flat and uninspired to tight and punchy. The sensitivity and ohm rating on these speakers do make a noticeable difference in the volume you can get from the stock head unit. You are not going to get thundering bass from 6 ½ inch speakers but the low end response is more than adequate. In fact, I've had these speakers installed for 2 weeks now and it seems that they sound better as they "break in". Overall these are great replacement speakers at a great price. As always, great service from Crutchfield.
Pros: Great replacement speakers at a great price.
The original speakers were descent when I first bought my Honda Civic. I was itching to upgrade something in the car. I replaced the speakers just for a change. Boy it was sure a bg change. I love the way Crutchfield sent me all the installation hardware. The soundstage was much improved. It was much loader and clear than the original. It loacked a little bass compared to the stock speakers. .
Cons: The speaker screws supplied were too long. Lucky I found some other screws from another speaker I was able to install it.
Great product as always. Replaced some blown factory speakers and they sound great!!!
Crutchfield delivered in two days as promised and included all the necessary installation supplies. Thank you! The speakers themselves were very easy to install in my 2012 Honda Accord. Sound is a lot clearer than the horrible stock speakers. These do lack the mid-range and bass that I was hoping for, but you can only ask so much out of a weak stock head unit.
Pros: Easy install. Very clear sound.
Cons: Sound is a little bright with limited mid-ranges and bass.
I installed these speaker in a Chevy Pick up the sound is outstanding. I'm very please with the quality of sound speaker provide.
Pros: Quality and sound great!
Cons: Install equipment required some minor drilling to line up bolts.
Very nice sounding OEM replacement. Definitely high db as they are a good step louder than OEM on the same stereo output settings. Pretty flat response throughout their usable range, which is great.
Pros: Natural sound, fairly flat response.
Cons: Just a little bright for my taste.
These are great replacement speakers especially for the money.
Pros: Great mids and highs and have plenty of punch. Don't expect a lot of true bass out of these but the cover the lower end of the midrange just fine.
Great improvement over stock speakers but that should come as no surprise. Highs are crisp and bass is full. From Thelonius Monk's "Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting" to Beck's "Guero" there's a crispness to the music again. I'm not interested in massive bass response so I've no use for a sub, these speakers are great - clean and simple.
I had to replace a pair of Honda Civic speakers, which are well known for being damaged by water and for being a very small fit. But these speakers together with their adapter went right in and were a treat to listen to. A little bright, but turning down the treble fixes that. Outstanding sounding speakers. Glad I got them.
Pros: Fit the car very well. High quality sound
Cons: Included screws with kit are too long. Cutting them down is necessary.
Sounds good with stock stereo in 07 chevy 2500
Pros: Good price good sound
I purchased these speakers as replacements for all 4 of the factory installed units in my 2012 Honda Accord. In a word, the OEM speakers were terrible, no highs, no bass, just noise. Crutchfield has always been my go to source for car audio & they didn't disappoint, the only downside was the huge selection, if you can call that a downside. I settled on the Infinity's because of the specs and user reviews and I couldn't be happier. Everything I needed for installation was included and arrived ahead of the estimated shipping date. Installation was an all day adventure but well worth it. When it comes time to replace the head unit and add a sub-woofer (much needed) I'll be returning to Crutchfield.
Pros: MUCH better sound quality than the plastic OEM speakers. No, 61/2" speakers are not going to produce much bass but I cannot overstate the vast improvement in the mids and highs. I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone wanting to upgrade their factory system.
Can't beat the sound for my 2011 Sierra Crew, even without an amp. These Infinitys kick the heck out of the old factory paper speakers for about the same price. Relatively simple install; all four doors in about an hour.
Pros: The hardest part of installation was opening the box. Plug and play with simple setup. Crutchfield included brackets, jumper wires and free shipping!
Cons: So far, none
I bought these to replace the rear factory speakers in my 07 Honda CRV and they did exactly what I wanted. The factory amp seems to be dedicated to the front speakers as they are much more pronounced and louder, however, replacing the rears with these, they are slightly louder, much clearer and have much more detail to them. I can only imagine how nice they would sound with an aftermarket amp. Great speakers. Not sure about the bass as I have a sub and run my bass on flat.
Pros: Clean sounding
I was looking for some upgrade speakers to replace the tired ones in my wife's 2007 Civic Si. After working out the right size and specs with a salesperson, these looked like they would handle the power. Good Sound at a good price. Installation was straightforward with the wiring adapter and speaker mounts and instrucitons. Overall, a very positive experience.
Pros: Good Sound Good Price Straightforward Installation
Cons: None so far.
These speakers are clear and bright . Highs more pronounced than the lows. I set treble down one notch and base up one notch and they sound very good.
Pros: Good speaker for the price and they fit my vehicle.
Cons: Could use more base.
The install of four speakers took me about an hour. In the instructions it wanted me to take the door panel completely off. Undoing the cable for the door latch is not that easy. I was able to rotate the panel in such a way as to change the speaker without complete removal. Assemble the speaker before installing.
Pros: Perfect fit. Much improved midrange and highs. The wiring kit worked well.
Cons: The foam damper was supposed to be installed in the recess of the back of the speaker frame. That groove was too deep to be filled by the foam. So I stuck the foam along the outside edge of the frame. No big deal.
I have these running off the stock head unit in a subaru. For real, they sound great for being under powered. Mids/ highs are well balanced and the bass is descent with all types of music. They'll at high volumes with low distortion. All around great speaker, let them break it for a week.
Pros: Price, value, performance
Cons: None so far
Best bang for your buck. Speakers went in easily and sound great. I have an older 2000 Chevy Camaro with GM's Monsoon sound system. The second set of factory speaks failed, so I was looking for a great inexpensive set of speakers to replacement them with. The Infinity Primus did the trick. They sound great and were easy to install. After You figure out which wires to connect. The Monsoon system has four wires per speaker.
Pros: Great sound Easy install
Replaced a set of Polk db651s with these in my 01 Silverado front doors. The left Polk blew from a bass hit and being a little underpowered. The Polks sounded nice and were bright but didn't have the lows these PR6502is do. The combo of the old 4x6 Pioneers in the rear doors and my 10" RocFos Sub make my Z71 sound very nice. I was going to try the Pioneer TS-A1675R which sounded good on display. One of Crutchfield's Techs recommended these Infinitys and I'm glad he did. I'm sorry but I forgot his name.
Pros: Nice sounding 6.5" with decent bass and good range for it's size using the stock head unit.
Cons: Tweeters sound good but could be slightly brighter and that's just a nit pic. There's really isn't any cons to these.
I bought these to replace my Fender speakers in my 2013 VW GLI. They sound amazing and the bass is incredible and the mid to high are excellent. These are a great replacement to factory speakers
Pros: Sound, Clarity
2014 Lancer w/o Rockford Fosgate the stock radio has more than enough power to drive these with no issues. I can max out the volume on the radio and still get a clear sound. Very happy with the bass side of the speakers, I will not be adding an amp.
Pros: Sound quality with stock radio is superb.
Cons: Installation with provided adapter terrible. Mitsubishi owners should check out an online installations website for direct fit speaker adapters that require no drilling. Adapters fit in the factory holes.
Great difference from original factory speakers
Great crisp sound! Hard to beat this sound for the money!
Pros: Great Sound very clear and crisp. No need for a lot of power to drive these! But it doesn't hurt it either.
Cons: There is only so much bass you can get from a 6.5 inch round.
Solid speakers, especially for the price. Good clarity clean crisp highs. Can't complain.
Great speaker at great price. Good sound being powered by alpine mini amp would buy again.
The speakers are awesome!!! The install was very effortless. The sound is simply amazing. I didnt like the price of them but after the installation and listening to them, simply amazing!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Easy install! Sound is great!!!
Cons: A little too pricey but worth every penny!!!!!!!!1
I bought these speakers for a 2013 Honda CR-V and they sound way better than the stock ones. They weren't that bad to install. The only modification I had to do was to countersink the screw on the adapter that Crutchfield provided. I am very pleased. Next on the list is an amp!
Pros: Great clarity
After having a chat with my advisor, and explaining to him what I was looking for, he recommended these speakers. I decided to purchase these speakers for my Silverado. Using a stock head unit, and just replacing the factory speakers with these, I would say that the speakers do exactly what I expected. Great sound. Better volume. Less distortion. All pluses in my book.
Pros: Great Sound Better Volume Less Distortion
Cons: So far NONE!
Easy install, sound better than most factory speakers. If you've heard a corolla s system with the JBLs well it sounds a lot like that with less bass. The speakers are very clear but lack bass. Perfect for clarity, just need to get subs to go with them.
Have a history with these speakers. First my jeep the speakers are amp driven and sound perfect, now my explorer Sony was acting up so didn't have to experiment with a unknown product when my experience with Crutchfield and Infinity is great. Everything from delivery to installation went as expected.
I wanted new door speakers for my GMC Sierra 1500. If you don't go into this purchase looking for these to be your only speakers, then you have the correct mindset! These speakers coupled with a mid to high end head unit, an amplifier on the mids/highs, and a great quality subwoofer and amplifer, you will have a top notch sound system to please most of the audiophiles out there! Recommend 100%
Pros: Great mid and high range for the price!
Cons: Highs do sound a little "tinny" with a factory head unit with little to no adjustment, but I can get over that since the factory deck won't be what is pushing these very long.
Great clarity, bass is decent
Got these babies for my doors in my Roadster and they really made a tremendous difference in sound clarity! Great product for a great price! The customer service is also first rate!
Pros: Awesome clarity
Cons: No cons for my application
Was told by Crutchfield that these speakers would not fit in my car,2015 toyota venza but fit easily without any modifications at all!!! they sound great also!!
Pros: sound great,install easily!!
Cons: none so farCrutchfield response on January 13, 2015 Our database shows that the speakers will fit the front doors, but might be a little snug in the rear doors, so we err on the side of caution. We're glad to hear they worked out for you! Our research guys will take another look at our measurements and adjust our database, if necessary. Enjoy your new speakers!
A great improvement to my OEM Silverado stereo. Rear speakers are next. The staff at Crutchfield were very helpful
Pros: great sound improvement, easy installation.
I did not expect great bass for these speakers. I expected great highs and mids, and infinity definitely delivered on that. I keep my hpf at 120 anyways so all my lower frequency sounds come from the subs. The clarity of these speakers are on point to say the least. And for the price you cant beat em. If you are looking for more bass in your inside speakers though, id say polk audio will deliver that.
Pros: Great highs and great mids. Performs well at high levels. Clarity is great. Quality is worth more than 99bucks for sure.
Cons: Not much bass for a subwoofer free setup.
Pros: easy install, great sound, broad range, shallow design
Cons: none so far
Like the way they sound. Quality product
Nice sounding speakers for the price; better than I expected..!
Pros: Crutchfield installation kit and instructions; always first rate.
Very Nice speaker and superior Bass sound
Pros: Easy to install and good quality.
Installed in rear doors of a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. Not much of an upgrade from factory infinity speakers.
Pros: Highs: Loud tweeter
Cons: Lows: Not much bass
Speakers are of good construction. They work very well in my Ford Explorer as the replacement for the stock Sony speakers. They really provide good deep sound in the rear doors.
Pros: Good price, good sound
Cons: don't fit the supplied spacers for the 2013 Ford Explorer
Nothing bad to say about these. They put out more bass than I expected. They're rear speakers and are connected to an Alpine power pack amp (45 x 4 RMS) with the gains at about 40%.
Pros: Good bass, clear sound.
Cons: The regular price seems a bit high, but I got them on sale so the price was acceptable.
Infinity really delivered in the 3 ohm design filling the gap in the speaker department by allowing decks and amps to push a little harder. Soundwise they produce plenty of clean mid however they do lack on low bass, and the highs never get extremely blistering (partly 2way design). Though If set up right with the crossovers they are a good SQ speaker for the money. I have owned almost every major brand of speaker and bought these solely on the fact that I haven't ran infinity speakers before. I am highly impressed and would likely buy infinity products again.
Pros: 3 ohm design, Mids Sound Great, Price is Competitive, Decent Quality, High Signal to Noise Ratio
Cons: Not A Ton Of Lows, Highs Aren't As Bright As I Like.
Great set of speakers, installed this until in the back doors of my 2012 CR-V, what a difference, I also change the mail unit for a Kenwood one, so, I need power to move this speakers, great change now I have a great bass response and clear audio, I installed also Infinity Component in the front. Now my car sound like a pro.
Pros: Great value, great sound, easy to install.
Crutchfield did their thing, installation went smoothly, and the recommended speakers sound great
Pros: great directions for installing, easy wiring hookup, great sound
Excellent speakers sound amazing and Crutchfield was a big help on what to reccomend. I've been using Crutchfield for years on stereo stuff and they never steered me wrong. The only thing I would have to say is to push the INFINITIS to its max youneed an Amp
Pros: Great sounding Quality Speakers
Cons: Amp to push them
I bought these speakers to upgrade my factory door speakers on my 2013 gmc terrain. I installed the infinity primus and they sound great. But every time I start my suv I get a lot of humming only from the front speakers. May have to return speakers if I can't figure why I'm getting feed back from front speakers.
Pros: easy to install with brackets and wiring adapters
Cons: getting feed back from front speakers
Great speakers I was upgrading my Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo with original infinity sound speakers my previous ones were dry rotted and I was happy with the previous quality of the speakers. New speaker sound great especially with the tweeters could not ask for a better speaker. Hope I get 20 years of the speakers as well!
Pros: Great sound , upgrade from 20 yr old infinity speakers
Cons: Can't think of any cons for my application
Stock speakers lacked the highs both front and back. Got these to fit the back door speaker location. They fit hole but could only use one stock mounting hole. The rest had to drill but was easy enough. I was hoping to satisfy the need for highs by putting these in, which it did, but the highs do not carry well into the front. They do however sound great for the rear passengers. Bass sounds good for 6 1/2 speakers.
Pros: All around good sound, not outrageously priced, Crutchfield provided speaker wire adapters
Cons: They don't fit in my front doors.
These speakers are a little dead out of the box, but give them a little time to loosen up and they start to come alive.
Pros: They will take a lickin and keep going
I am running these speakers just through the head unit and I'm just amazed at their sound! Plenty loud, very crisp highs, better than expected bass. I'm very picky on sound and don't care about entertaining the neighborhood with my stereo. Sound produced is very accurate (cymbals are clear and crisp) and has plenty of punch for my taste.
Pros: Great sound, great instructions and installation gear from Crutchfield.
Cons: Not a single one.
Speakers were not an exact fit, but it was an easy enough installation (in my car). Sound is great, bass is a little lacking, but the sound quality is generally better than the factory speakers I was using previously. I didn't even need to change out my tweeters. The included vehicle-specific adapter made this a very simple "plug and play" operation. Would definitely recommend these speakers, especially from Crutchfield, because Crutchfield includes such an adapter. All in all, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
Pros: - easy install, good highs/lows, good value, comes with adapter
Cons: - not as much bass as I would like
Added these to the rear of a 2000 Honda CR-V and along with a new stereo, made a huge improvement in the sound and bass response. Very clean, tight bass and easily installation with the supplied connectors.
replaced the rear stocks in my '14 CRV and i dont know how but it brought to life the sound in the whole car. plan on adding a sub so im sure it'll only sound better once im done.
Pros: sound great, decent price, crutchfield quality
Cons: small con, requires very slight mod to fit the back but no biggie.
I purchased these as an upgrade to my Rockford Fosgate P165 Punch but it was actually a very big downgrade. The RF speakers were good quality, but I got greedy and wanted more. The Infinity speakers have very little bass, not much better than factory speakers and the cone was not up to par with the price; they felt almost like paper and gave me the impression it would be very easy to damage. To be fair about this review I want to make it clear I left the Rockford Fosgate frt. speaker in on one side and the Infinity on the other. I then used my fade and balance buttons to compare sound quality. What I found out was the RF speakers had much better base and the treble was on par with the Infinity. I thought I had researched well, but I guess there is no substitute for seeing and hearing before buying. I returned these speakers and if I decide to upgrade it will be with another pair of Rockford Fosgate speakers.
Pros: Good looking speakers
Cons: Cheap cone material make for lousy bass and a tinny sound like factory speakers.
Great 2 way speakers for the money, I do not think there is a better sounding speaker for the price in this category. They sound 10x better than the stock ones in my 2014 Subaru STI,!
installed on my G8 GXP using factory radio and they sound amazing great speaker
I worked with the online team to find the best fit for my car. After reading a few reviews I was concerned that the bass might be weak. I had not planned to add a sub woofer. After I installed all 4 I was delighted and could not be more pleased
Pros: Great sound. Even better turned up
They sound good like they are supposed to.
Good upgrade over stock speakers
Pros: Easy to fit into stock locations
Cons: Was hoping for a little more sound. This may be due to the component speakers up front, but I thought putting a two way speaker I could get an equal sound throughout the truck.
Got these speakers for my 2000 Lexus RX300. The install was a little challenging since I had to modify the braket so the speaker would mount on it.
Pros: Great sounding speaker without upgrading factory amp
Cons: Requires customization to mount on Crutchfield braket
great speakers. the sound quality is great and infinity always makes great products. the install was very simple and took no time at all.
Pros: great sound, easy install
These speakers have a great, clean sound and are a great improvement from my stock speakers in my 2013 Jetta. Using my Rockford Fosgate R250X4 amplifier, they sound awesome.
Pros: good, clean highs and overall sound
Great speakers. Highs are great. Somewhat weak for bass as many others have eluded to. The problem for me was they really didn't fit into my 2000 Forerunner. The nature of the mounting is such that the mounting screws have to line up or it really doesn't work. No way for a generic adapter bracket to solve the problem either. Anyway, one of four screws holding one speaker in and I somehow managed to get 2 of 4 in on the other side. Very disappointed with the Crutchfield compatibility system. I was going to replace the back seat door speakers but with no faith in getting anything that will fit I'll probably stick w/ what I have.
Pros: Great speaker for the price
Cons: Did not fit as advertised for a 2000 4 Runner.Crutchfield response on January 9, 2014 We forwarded this review to our Technical Support team for follow-up. Lifetime tech support comes with every Crutchfield purchase.
Not a bad set of speakers at all. They installed easily with crutchfield kit. There is so much more clarity than with the factor speaker it's unbelievable. They sounded even better after I put my new alpine deck in. Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because of bass. It has very little bass at all. But overall great speakers.
Pros: ease of installation, nice mids and highs, very clear
Cons: very little bass but it's expected for a 6.5
Great sounding speakers. I have them connected to a planet audio amp with the high pass filter on (so not sure how they sound with bass), amps rated at 100watts rms. awesome, crisp, clean sound. I've owned several different brand speakers in the past and infinity always is always impressive and are very durable.
Pros: quality you'd expect from infinity.
Cons: none so far
Great sounding speaker for the $. Replaced factory speakers in 2011 Honda civic and it sounds so much better. At first I ran these speakers of my Kenwood head unit, then I decided to use my Jensen 600 watt 4 channel amp. Overall speakers sound great and play well off the head unit but I recommend using an amp! Buy and enjoy.
Pros: Real easy to install with installation kit that comes from Crutchfield.
Good speakers, but most head units, factory or aftermarket, probably won't do them justice. I replaced the front speakers on my 02 Silverado with these and added a Kenwood Excelon HU. Good sound at low to medium volume but any attempt to turn it up louder for a favorite song results in distortion. Planning on a good 4 channel (I replaced the rear speakers as well) amp in the near future.
Pros: Nice mids and highs, even without an amp, but don't try to push the base without plenty of clean power running them. I think once I have the amp, I'll be well pleased.
Cons: Good potential, but without an amp, muddy and prone to distortion.
Great Sound quality
Pros: Sounds very crisp, and has the perfect bass drive on songs that do not need an amp with a subwoofer
Cons: No complaints, you cannot get much bass drive out of a speaker this size, but that is with any speaker this size, so really it is not a con.
I love these speakers. Sound much better than the Polk speakers these replaced.
Pros: Great sound at an affordable price.
these speakers are really Great the sound is amazing, I had stopped listening to anything but talk radio because I just was not enjoying the horrible sound from old factory speakers. these have mad the music come alive !
Pros: the sound is rich and brings the music to life
Cons: I did not get them sooner
Been a long time fan of the infinity speaker line every vehicle i've owned I've always upgraded them with infinity speakers , good workingman's budget speaker .
Speakers are great and were easy to install.
Pros: sound great
Cons: no cons
Sound great, fit great. No drilling needed for the back doors of my 2002 Sierra 2500 HD Crew Cab. Great upgrade over my factory speakers.
Pros: Sound great.
Cons: None, simple job.
These Infinity speakers were an huge improvement over the OEM units in my 2013 Silverado. During the installation I stopped half way through with the left side being the original and the right side new. The sound was a real surprise. I never expected such a difference especially since I still have the original head unit...soon to be replaced. The service representatives at Crutchfield recommended these and I believe they did a great job.
Pros: Great sound from OEM. Can't wait until I install a head unit with some power! Fit my application perfect in the front doors
Cons: I bit of modification to the original bracket for the small rear doors will work great. A hacksaw is required however.
these speakers are solid and sound great with the stock stereo in my s-10 pick-up. I was happy with the components supplied by Crutchfield to make the installation straightforward and simple.
I purchased these to replace the four factory door speakers. I have them coupled with a Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS head unit. Although only being powered from the head unit, and not at their full potential, they sound great. I have the head unit's crossed over at 80Hz, to prevent distortion of the lower registers with these speakers, and that seems to be optimal in this vehicle with no amplifier powering the speakers. It has no distortion at higher volumes. I am very pleased with how they perform and will add a 4 channel amp in the future as well as a subwoofer for better bass reproduction.
Pros: Great sound, ease of installation
Cons: Bass reproduction is not the best but it is as expected for a 6 1/2" driver
I needed a new set of speakers, due to the factory one on the passenger side quit working . Did a lot of research on different brands wanted something that would sound good, seeing that I am keeping the factory stereo, I chose these Infinity speakers because of the 93 db sensitivity and 3-ohm impedance. Let me tell you these speakers did not disappoint, the sound quality is rich even from my factory stereo,I can crank them up and they sound crystal clear. Geddy Lee's bass never sounded better . If you are looking for awesome sounding speakers you can't go wrong with these.
Pros: 93db 3-ohm impedance very rich and full sounding
Exactly as I expected
Pros: Good sound quality
Cons: Need to hook to amp to get true potential
Music sound very clear. Always play music on flat, no EQ or coloration, the sound is very balanced.
These speakers are great. Using a kenwood amp rated at 200 watts rms.
Great speaker to install This set is going in a 1934 Ford 3 window coupe. While it will be a bit before we do the final hookup of these speakers, the team at Crutchfield has never steered us wrong in the past. We have been using there products for the last 12 years and all of our customers have been happy with their recommendations.
Great sounding. Major improvement as expected form factory speakeres. Highs and lows all good. Easy install in 2005 RAm 1500 rear doors
Pros: Bass sonds good
These speakers rock. They hit the high notes and everything in between with less power than other speakers. Once you install these go ahead and crank them up they just ask for more. If your upgrading factory speakers go ahead and spend a little more and get these you won't regret it.
Pros: crisp, clean, loud, price

Plus One Woofer Cones: The Plus One speaker cones offer more surface area than other speakers that fit in the same size opening. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The result is greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.
3-ohm Voice Coil: The Primus Series speakers feature 3-ohm voice coils to compensate for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring and extract every watt from the factory receiver, increasing overall system output and efficiency (relative to 4-ohm speakers). The speakers also benefit from increased power when you upgrade the wire and add aftermarket amplifiers capable of powering a 2-ohm load.
Power Handling: Although Infinity lists the continuous average RMS power handling as 70 watts, they also list the recommended power range as 5-125 watts RMS. We've opted to list the more conservative 70 watt RMS figure on the specifications page.
Mounting: Infinity markets these speakers as 6-1/2"; they will fit in standard 6-1/2" speaker openings (approximately 5" diameter), but they do not use the standard 6-1/2" speaker bolt pattern. In order to install them in standard 6-1/2" applications you must drill new screw holes. The speakers are easily installed in many standard 4-hole 6-3/4" applications with no modification.
At Crutchfield, you'll get detailed, accurate information that's hard to find elsewhere. That's because we have our own in-house Product Research team. They verify what’s in the box, check the owner's manual, and record dimensions, features and specs. We stay on top of new products and technologies to help people make informed choices.
These Thiele Small parameters are a bit advanced for a Q/A place like this because these work together with others to help you design the best box for a woofer and gauge how well it will perform. The main ones to consider are Fs: resonate frequency of the speaker, Vas: the volume of air equal to the compliance (stiffness) of the speaker, and Qts: the total amount of mechanical and electrical loos of the speaker at the Fs. These help you determine how big to make the box, the shape of the box(helps determine the tuning frequency of the box), and gauge how loud it will play (how much power you need to run it for the desired volume level). There is calculators out there to help you design the best box for the woofer. Any further questions on this should be handled through an advisor that you can reach on 1-800-324-9695. For their size, these are incredible speakers. They are accurate and crisp. Use lots of batting in your enclosure as they can be a little harsh. I installed them in my travel trailer and they fill it up with music. [ RICHARD A Dec 20, 2015 ]
Overall, a decent speaker. Quality of sound is pretty good when compared to stock. [ Michael Dec 19, 2015 ]
The speakers' 3-ohm impedance safely draws extra power out of your factory radio, aftermarket stereo, or an external amplifier, so you'll get a little more punch from your system. [ Jeff Jul 20, 2015 ] Staff
Sorry for the late reply. The reference are infinity's entry speaker level. Then it's the primus and then it's top which is kappa [ vietstyle888 Sep 03, 2014 ]

I personally own 3 pairs of the infinity primus and I think these are the best but I've never heard the other ones. [ ALFONZO Mar 18, 2014 ]
