Rock the house with deep, thundering bass
Rock the house with deep, thundering bass
The rear port provides incredible low-note emphasis that will shake the windows.
Infinity subs have been knocking our customers' socks off for years. Hook one up to your system and find out why. The PS410BK will add deep, resounding bass to your stereo or home theater setup. Its 300-watt amplifier effortlessly drives a 10" woofer for exciting low-frequency punch. You'll enjoy the commanding rumble of movie special effects as well as accurate, musical bass with your favorite tunes.
Built with quality materials that are made to last
The key to the PS410BK's remarkable performance is its MMD® driver. This material uses a solid metal core which allows the woofer cone to keep its shape as it moves back and forth — resulting in clear, accurate sound, even with the most demanding music and movie soundtracks. The black woodgrain vinyl finish fits in with almost any room decor.
Build a complete Primus® system
The Infinity Primus PS410BK will fill most rooms with dramatic and well-defined bass. Connect it to your receiver using either the LFE or line-level inputs. Easily accessible controls on the back of the sub help you blend it in with the rest of your system. The '410BK is voice-matched with the entire Primus home theater speaker lineup, so you can create a high-quality sound system that meets your needs.

Features
Metal Matrix Diaphragm (M.M.D.): Derived from the C.M.M.D. material used in Infinity's flagship Cascade series, M.M.D. features a stiff aluminum core, anodized on both sides for increased strength and rigidity. M.M.D. transducers conduct sound faster than paper, polypropylene, and Kevlar, pushing unwanted resonances beyond the operating range of the transducer. M.M.D. drivers deliver crystal-clear, distortion-free sound from dynamic digital sources, even at high listening levels. The PS410 is equipped with a front-firing, 10" M.M.D. woofer.
Surround: For a smoother response and improved durability, the woofer uses a rubber surround.
Amplifier: This subwoofer is powered by a 300-watt (RMS) amplifier, rated at 27Hz - 150Hz with no more than 0.1% THD. The maximum (peak) power output is 500 watts.
Bass Ports: There is one rear-firing bass port that allows deep bass with high acoustic efficiency and low distortion.
Controls
Gain Control: The subwoofer has a rotary control on the rear panel for adjusting the level of the bass.
Low-Pass Crossover: The subwoofer features a continuously variable 50Hz-150Hz low-pass crossover that determines the highest frequency at which the subwoofer reproduces sounds. The crossover has a 24dB/octave slope.
Note: The crossover is bypassed when the "LFE/Normal" switch is in the "LFE" position.
Phase Switch: The subwoofer's phase switch allows you to control the phase of the subwoofer's output relative to the front speakers. If the bass sounds muddy or unclear, toggling the phase control can sometimes strengthen the bass "attack."
Auto On/Off Circuit: The auto on/off circuit turns the power amp on when a signal is sensed and turns the amplifier off and into standby mode approximately 10 minutes after a signal is no longer received. An LED indicator on the rear panel glows green when the amplifier is on and red when the amp is in standby.
Connections
Line-level Inputs: The subwoofer has gold-plated stereo RCA inputs with an "LFE/Normal" switch. If you have a Dolby Digital/DTS receiver or processor with a low-frequency-effects (LFE) output, you should switch the "LFE/Normal" switch to the LFE position. If your receiver/processor does not contain a Dolby Digital or DTS processor but has a subwoofer output, you should switch the "LFE/Normal" switch to the Normal position. In either case, you may use either the Left or Right input. A "Y" adapter is not necessary.

I am using my Infinity sub with my McIntosh MA 7000 amp and a pair of Infinity Kappa 7 speakers. The sub is used for music only and I am pleased with the bass it offers in relationship to the 12" drivers in the Kappa 7. Tech support was very helpful in my selection and hook-up to the amp.
