Our take on the Infinity Reference 311a

Infinity Reference amplifiers offer impressive power and extensive controls for fine-tuning your sound — an ideal way to send your music to new sonic heights.

Infinity Reference amplifiers offer impressive power and extensive controls for fine-tuning your sound — an ideal way to send your music to new sonic heights.

The Reference 311a mono subwoofer amplifier ensures steady power delivery, thanks to its highly-efficient design. This amp's powerful enough to satisfy your inner bass head, delivering up to 312 watts RMS. And every Infinity Reference amplifier is certified to deliver power as advertised.

The variable low-pass filter lets you contour the amp's output to suit your speakers. Infinity's Dynamic Bass Optimization (DBO) circuit provides variable "Q" slopes, adjustable bass controls that allow you to tune your sub to its enclosure for more efficient output and cleaner low-end kick.

Preamp outputs simplify hookup to another amp in your system, so system building is quick and easy.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Awesome amp! I'm currently using to power an 8" JL Audio 4 ohm sub and it' amazing. But I about to switch up in my 2007 F150 so the little amp is going to go in my boat to be paired up with an Infinity Kappa Series 10" 2 ohm sub. I can't wait to speed pass the fishermen vibrating the water in my wake.

Pros: Larger in power then in size.

Cons: It's no longer sold

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is an awesome amp! I have it wired to a Kenwood head unit and Kenwood 10&quot; truck box sub in my '95 Chevy pickup. It has all the power I need to listen to the diverse array of music I enjoy. The amp was a cinch to install and tune. It is on nearly the lowest settings and drives my sub with plenty of thump, whether there is classic rock or classical music playing.<BR>Crutchfield came through again with expert advice on tuning the amp for the best sound, and all this at an amazing price!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I mounted this on a Blaupunkt BCP1200 box in the trunk of a 2006 Ford Five Hundred SE. I also used the EFX wiring kit and the whole system installed easily. Man, this is more bass than I can handle, but with the sub set to -3, the system sounds incredible. I cranked it as loud as I could stand and could not even make the clip light blink. $260...shakes the whole block. Awesome deal, get it!

GREAT amp

Written by: Ian from Green Bay , Wi on July 9, 2006

i bought this amp a week ago for my kicker comp 10's. the comp 10's are decent subs, i useto power them with a 500 watt bazooka amp that kept overheating all the time. this refrence amp is putting less power to each sub and producing twice the volume than the old amp did! it has not over heated once. i can drive around with the volume up high enough for my refrence speakers (no amp, powered through the cd player) to distort and the subs just slam! this is a great amp, you wont be disopointed. remember to get good rca cables too, if you have cheap cables, even the best amp and subs will sound bad with cheap wiring, i learned that the hard way.
