Add powerful bass to your music and movies
Add powerful bass to your music and movies
If you want to add a serious injection of bass to your system, look no further than the Infinity Reference SUB R10. It sports a powerful 200-watt RMS amplifier and a high-output 10" woofer to deliver clear, low-distortion bass impact. Whether it's explosions, earthquakes, drums, or an acoustic upright bass, the SUB R10 will let your hear and feel the rumble.
Solid construction, solid sound
Much of the SUB R10's powerful performance comes courtesy of its strong-yet-lightweight fiber-composite 10" woofer and solidly built, tuned-port enclosure. Infinity employs internal edge-to-edge windowpane bracing to eliminate cabinet vibration while providing a firm foundation for the driver. This combination of structural strength and robust driver provides powerful, deep bass response that will make your music and movies come alive.
Easy system integration
Line-level and LFE (Low Frequency Effects) inputs let you easily connect this sub to most audio systems. Its back-panel volume, crossover, and phase controls help you fine-tune the bass to your liking. A low frequency trim control provides up to 4dB of boost at 35 Hz for added impact. Auto power control means you never need to worry about switching the SUB R10 on or off, as its signal sensing circuitry will handle that for you. The SUB R10 makes an excellent addition to any Infinity Reference stereo music or home theater setup.

Features
10" Woofer/200W Amp: The Infinity Reference series SUB R10 powered sub features a 10" fiber composite woofer with rubber surround and a 200W RMS/400W Peak amplifier for dynamic bass response. There is one rear-firing bass port that allows deeper bass with high acoustic efficiency and low distortion.
Controls: All of the powered sub's controls are located on the back-panel. There is a Subwoofer Level control for adjusting the level of the bass to match the output of your front speakers. There is also a continuously variable (50-150Hz, 24dB/octave) Low-Pass Crossover which determines the highest frequency at which the subwoofer reproduces sound. The crossover is bypassed when the crossover is set to the "LFE" position. The powered sub's Phase Switch (Normal/Reverse) allows you to control the phase of the subwoofer's output relative to the front speakers; if the bass sounds muddy or unclear, toggling the phase control can sometimes strengthen the bass "attack". In addition there is a LF Trim switch which boosts the powered sub's bass level (0, +2dB, or +4dB) in comparison with the rest of your system.
Line-level Inputs: Two gold-plated RCA jacks are provided for connecting the powered sub to your AV receiver. You can use a single RCA cable to connect the Subwoofer or LFE (low frequency effects) Output on your receiver to the powered sub's L/LFE line-level (RCA) input. Since most subwoofer/LFE outputs are filtered by most receivers/processors, the subwoofer's variable low-pass filter is usually not required and should be bypassed; this is done by placing the sub's crossover to the "LFE" position. If your receiver has preamp outputs, or if you are using a receiver without a designated subwoofer/LFE output, the preferred connection is to use a stereo RCA cable plugged into both left and right line-level RCA inputs. If the preamp outputs are unfiltered, the subwoofer's internal crossover should be used placed in the "50-150Hz" position.
Auto On/Off Circuit: The auto on/off circuit turns the power amp on when a signal is sensed and turns the amplifier off and into standby mode approximately 10 minutes after a signal is no longer received. An LED indicator on the rear panel glows green when the amplifier is on and red when the amp is in standby.
Mounting Feet: The Infinity Reference series SUB R10 powered sub features integrated rubber feet to prevent against unwanted vibration and protect your hardwood or tile flooring. The powered sub also comes with four spiked feet which screw into the integrated rubber feet, ideal for carpeted flooring. The spiked feet add approximately 0.4375" of height to subwoofer.

Chose this over the other infinity s/w's after reading multiple reviews from owners citing premature failure. This one has a class d amp so am hoping that durability will not be a problem. Sounds great.
